"By the way, you didn’t introduce to this new face," the man in the dark asked, amused.
Mulan smiled. "She works in my company. She is very talented. Her performance has been remarkable. Oh my, she understood the ga so well. In fact, one of the key algorithms proposed is by her."
"For which you ca here begging."
"Which could bring you many followers," she corrected him.
"Hooo...And what about that other woman? Who is in a coma?"
She leaned back and shrugged. "She is in a coma so her thoughts are also in coma. Right?" She looked up at her assistant once.
Beiya nodded. "Yes."
"She had so naughty data stored in her laptop," Mulan smiled. "But Beiye here helped vanish. It was a pain getting her laptop from her husband. I was almost prepared to let him join the coma along with his wife~ But Beiye did it with such finesse."
"So you trust her?"
"Heh, she is as twisted as us. What more can you say about her when she pushed her own brother into the ga and got him ntally paralyzed?"
The man’s gaze looked up at her. "She hates her brother?"
Beiye said, "As a boy, he was always the apple of my father’s eyes. Everything was only for him. Clothes, treats, gas, money. As a girl, I had to always step back."
Mulan said, "Don’t be offended. I know you don’t like won that much."
"Yet here you are anyway."
"You are free to find sobody else who can bring in your followers but you know everybody is stupid out there~ Your regressive beliefs cannot be out in the open but a ga? An entertaining ga can have all kinds of fictional content and people don’t even realize they are getting brainwashed by it. So cheers to ~"
The man only scoffed.
"My oh my, why such hatred towards us anyway? What did a woman ever do to you? Your mother abused you? Your wife cheated on you?"
Mulan noticed a faint movent in his fingers.
"Ouch. Betrayal. Affair. That must have hit hard," she sighed. "Is that why you hate won?"
A sarcastic smile with a glint of evil curved his lips up. "Won have caused nothing but pain. A lot of pain...Years of my devotion and loyalty..." his dark eyes flickered in the dark, "all dumped into trash the mont another man steps into their life. So selfish and seductive they are, aren’t they? Are you that kind of a woman too?"
"I’m more loyal to my business," she chuckled.
"What about...Yang Cheng? What about your aspiration to beco Mrs. Yang?"
She stared at him quite pointedly. "It’s not Mrs. Yang. It’s where I deserve to be. Besides...you also want to overthrow the Yang family, don’t you?"
This ti, she felt his pointed gaze. "It’s none of your concern really."
She shrugged a mont later. "Anyway, I’ll take my leave. Don’t make wait for that check too long."
"How about you co to the engagent ceremony too? That Hou family’s. I guess together, we can give the right push to the parents about our hard-earned money."
"Will a lowly ga company CEO even get an invitation?"
"Lowly?" He laughed hard. "I know the kind and reach of your clients desperate to get rights on your ga so don’t play that innocent card with . Anyway, the invitation won’t be a problem."
"Cool. I’m in."
He paused for a mont and then asked, "How’s your father doing these days?"
She grimaced. "Better not talk about it. Wasting his ti in so silly detective ga when he should just sit back at ho and read books like any other old man. I guess the old days are hard to get out of his system."
"Huh...What kind of a detective ga?"
She shrugged. "I don’t know and I don’t care. Guess he is too bored at ho. I’m wondering if I should get him a wife."
Mulan and Beiye left the room with that and silence returned again.
The man in the dark leaned back and stared up at the ceiling for a long ti.
"Yong."
"Yes, Sir."
"Find out what her father is upto."
She blinked, confused. "Miss. Xie’s father?"
"Yes."
"...May I ask why?"
"I don’t think he is playing so silly detective ga. Xie Zi Han doesn’t do things without a purpose."
"Understood, Sir. I’ll find everything I can."
"Good girl," that man smiled in the dark.

Yuming woke up with a start late in the night. Feeling breathless and thirsty, she stepped out of her ward for a walk.
"You shouldn’t be roaming around the lab during these hours."
She gasped and jolted upright. With an abrupt spin, she turned and stiffened upon seeing Shilin.
"I...I was feeling thirsty."
"I could have brought you so water, sis Yuming. Or should I say sis Mingyu?" He smiled.
She froze hard with drops of sweat sliding down the side of her ears. Her throat felt painfully swollen. His shoes approached her and soon towered upon her.
"Le-Lead-"
"Don’t utter that title outside Huayuan," he whispered.
She straightened up. "A-Apologies."
"Sis Yuming was really troubleso. Always disappearing on her own and giving trouble to your mother. Do you know how much misery you put her into? As if she wasn’t already struggling with Aunt Nuwa’s disappearance, that her own daughter started rebelling as well. Don’t you think she deserves so peace?"
She stiffened.
"I had to take a job here just to be able to et you."
"I-I’m sorry..." her eyes darted left to right in nervousness.
Shilin smiled. "What are you sorry for, sis? You have made too many mistakes to count now. Huayuan takes care of its own people. But I won’t be able to take care of you. I won’t be able to protect you."
"I don’t understand..." She looked confused.
Shilin bent and whispered sothing in her ear that brought a ghostly pale to her face. Her expression dropped as if she had just greeted hell.
"So you understand the difficult position you put into? I ca here to say that Huayuan won’t help you at all. You have dug a very deep hole for yourself where nobody can get you out of it."
