Seems like people here don’t listen just like a certain devil I know...
The mont her fingers pressed on her shoulders though, all her thoughts vanished into thin air. The faint sound of air bubbles popping echoed that made her imagine herself swaying in the sky like a drifting balloon.
Ah, that feels so good...Is this heaven?
All the lost sleepless nights ca back to her at once as her eyelids grew heavier and she allowed herself to lose in that sea of comfort. The soft music felt like it was healing her very core. Work and her duties called her, but those summons faded away with the scent of incense.
Just a few more minutes...
Two hours had passed.
Jia stood upright, her face all fresh and sparkling as if she was a new person altogether.
"Heyyyy, look who is back from their spa~?"
She glanced to the left and saw Mingshen casually seated on the couch with a magazine in his hands. He kept it aside and got up, studying her from head to toe.
"Hmmm...Yup, yup, that’s a fantastic job. Spicy, you are always very beautiful to , but today, you are sparkling with radiance even brighter than the sun."
She coughed, slightly embarrassed. Her gaze fell to the large wall mirror opposite her, and she swore she couldn’t recognize herself. The circles under her eyes had disappeared as it never existed. The dreariness along her cheeks had faded away into a bright and shining vigor. Her arms felt so light as if she could easily lift a mountain now.
Is this really ...?
"So, so! How are you feeling?" He raised a brow.
"I feel almost spiritual now."
He blinked twice and burst into laughter.
She scratched her chin. "But why did you suddenly bring here? Though I am not complaining..."
His expression took the form of heavy grievance.
"Well, you were ignoring ."
"Huh? When did I ignore you?"
"Since the last seven days! You were just buried in your mountain work, you barely ca ho and you didn’t spend any ti with , and on top of everything, you were ruining your incredible sexy beauty with an overdose of coffee and nothing else. It was ti to take matters in my own hands," he sneered.
Jia looked away as the accusations kept piling upon her, but she lacked a credible defense.

Her brow faintly twitched.
"Also, you didn’t spend any ti with . We are...we are..."
"Hm?" She tilted her head.
"Supposed to be...friends, right?"
Her lips twitched to control her laughter from slipping out. "Yeah we are, but why do you look like you have swallowed so bitter dicine pill when you uttered ’friends?’ I wonder...maybe you don’t like as your friend?"
She was only teasing him, pulling his leg, not expecting a very shocking response from him. But a look of horror passed his features anyway.
"What? Of course I like you!"
The vigor and seriousness of his answer took her aback as if she really considered that Mingshen didn’t like her.
"Huh...what is this that I am seeing?" Jia stroked her chin, thoughtful.
"What? What?" He patted his face. "What’s there on my face?"
She flicked his hand away. "There’s nothing on your face. I am saying that I was just teasing you, but...you actually took it seriously."
"Obviously, you asked a serious question about my sincere feelings."
"No, it was just a teasing remark. You, of all people, should know that. You are the king of teasing who can get under anybody’s skin."
Mingshen sheepishly blushed. "Spicy, you embarrass when you complint like that..."
"It..It wasn’t a complint but anyway. Thanks so much for bringing here. I feel refreshed and ready to take on work now."
"Nooo!!"
Her eyes widened. "What?"
"No work!" He glared. "You already forgot that I just told you how we didn’t spend any ti with each other and here you are, already gunning to return."
"Ah, that’s true...My bad," she apologized. "So what do you want to do?"
"Spend ti with you."
"...I got that, but doing what? What have you planned?"
He blinked. She blinked in return.
He tilted his head. She tilted her head in return.
"Mingshen."
"Yeah?"
"You are telling that you do have so plan mapped out in your mind, right?"
"Not really."
"..."
"So you brought out here just for the spa?"
"After which we will spend ti together!" He flared his nostrils, very proud of his decision.
Jia’s face dropped into her palms.
"I ant how do you see us spending ti together? Like where will we go after we exit from here?"
"I don’t know."
This is going to be a long evening...
But because Dr. Yang sponsored a very expensive and heavenly spa treatnt for her, she was willing to let go of her grievances.
"Okay. So let’s decide now. Shall we head to a bar? Or a pub?"
"Too loud."
"Movie?"
"Too many people."
"Arcade?"
"Too childish."
"Hey, arcade gas are fun, but anyway."
"Karaoke?"
"Too musicy."
"That’s not even a word. Anyway, mall?"
"Too boring."
"We are going to karaoke."
"I just said it’s too musicy."
"Do you want my fist to get too violenty?" She smiled with an impending alarm.
"...Yeah, okay we will go to karaoke."
"Good."
They exited the spa parlor and as they walked towards the car, Mingshen popped in a suggestion.
"Can friends have sex?"
"Ah, so your true subconscious destination was a hotel room. No."
"Not even a little?"
She turned towards him, dumbfounded. "What does ’little’ in terms of sex even an?"
"We can have pleasure without going all the way...though I do prefer all the way," he nodded with all seriousness.
She smiled. "Karoake it is."
"...Yeah, karaoke it is."
