The off day to unwind and enjoy at an amusent park arrived in no ti. Near the huge wide entrance jumped and danced the mascots of different cartoon characters. Children followed and danced around them too, giggling and laughing. Soap bubbles floated in the air coming from a nearby toy store, and children ran after them to catch the flying bubbles shining rainbow colors under the sunlight.
On the other side, people crowded at a shop to buy headbands with colorful and different shapes of ears mounted on them. So were cat ears, so rabbits, so foxes and so mickey mouse ears had grabbed the crowd’s attention.
A tiny, chubby hand was chasing after a bubble until that chubby hand was pulled back. Jia squished her nephew’s cheeks, who was trotting towards the bubble with full speed. "We don’t want to lose you in the crowd."
"Jiaaa..." Weiyun brightly laughed, pointing his finger at the flying bubble, while tugging her pants with his other hand.
"Yes, yes. The bubble is beautiful."
"Bu...bubble...fly..."
Jia brightened at seeing him talking out a sentence. At one and a half years old, Lii and Weiyun were rapidly learning new words and trying to form broken sentences too. She picked him up, kissing him on his cheek. "You are learning so quickly!"
Returning back to where everybody was, she saw Bojing running after Lii from a distance just like she was chasing after Weiyun. His anxious tears expressed how frightened he was of losing Lii’s sight.
"Sis! How does this look?" Lihua hopped to her side, wearing a Pikachu ears headband. She made Weiyun and Lii wear a Pichu headband while Wei wore a Raichu headband with no qualms.
Jia coughed hard seeing the family wear the headbands of the pokemon’s evolution. "Cu-Cute..."
"You an silly and stupid."
A disdainful voice arrived which looked at the funny ears with a snort. Cheng Xinyue, Lihua’s elder brother, couldn’t express his distaste anymore than this.
"I hope those ears zap you with electricity like those pokemons do. You might then finally attain so level for smartness," he smirked. "It should be of high voltage to compensate for all those missing years I couldn’t raise you," he sneered.
"Don’t be so an!" She glared.
The Cheng family, along with Wei’s Zhao family, Mingshen’s Yang family and Bojing’s Lu family ford the four pillars of the underworld. Lihua was biologically Cheng family’s daughter until the day when their enemy, Jiang Zemin attacked them, and they gave Lihua’s responsibility to Jia’s parents, Song Wuyin and Song Lan to save her life. The rest of the family pretended to be dead until they returned to get their long lost daughter back.
The Zhao family acted as the head of the underworld, the Yang family dealt with their duties in the field of dicine, the Cheng family was a master in spy and intelligence gathering and the Lu family were the bearers of martial arts expertise. Together, they oversaw the balance in the underworld.
But these high and mighty n were nothing in front of the love of their lives who made them dance according to their wishes. Just like how Cheng Xinyue’s girlfriend and also Wei’s cousin, dropped a Tom cat ears band on his head right now. Feeling the needless fluffiness, he turned to send a glare her way when he saw her wearing the Jerry mouse ears headband. He fixed his gaze at her, strangely silent.
Zhao Ruiling sheepishly grinned. "This looks so cute on you."
Lihua sneered. "It’s okay, Bro. You can be honest that you find your girlfriend really cute in those mouse ears, the sa headband who you called silly and stupid a few minutes ago."
His gaze darkened.
Zhao Ruiling pulled his arm and stretched her hand to take a selfie. "Let’s take a picture!"
"In these stupid cat ears? No way! You look adorable, I don’t."
"I won’t hear a no."
"Well then I will just keep reiterating it."
"I want a couple picture!" She scowled at him.
"Not in this getup!"
If anybody from the family sees the veteran spy like this, I am a goner, he thought.
"Who is bullying my sister?" Ca the dark voice of Zhao Ruiling’s elder brother, also Wei’s cousin, Zhao Li. He lifted his brow, amused at the Tom Cheng Xinyue. "You don’t look so bad."
"Which is a translation of ’You look funny. I want to show this to everybody.’" Xinyue smiled sarcastically.
Ruiling flew to her brother’s side, flaring her nostrils. "Tell him to not be so petty. I just want a picture!"
"I will erase my very existence if this picture gets clicked."
"You dare break my sister’s heart?" His eyes narrowed.
"I don’t spoil anybody," Xinyue sneered.
Beside Li arrived his wife, Zhao Lanying, wheeling a stroller with their three months old daughter, Zhao Lan, happily snuggling inside with the cat Qingqing.
Qingqing, a beautiful Persian cat with majestic fur and erald green eyes who was once Mingshen’s cat and ruled his lab, was now a full-fledged mber of the Zhao family, who ditched the devil doctor.
But that majestic cat was really not in a magnanimous mood.
Excuse but why is this tiny human being allowed in my royal carriage!?
The carriage she was referring to being the stroller.
Li bent and poked his daughter’s cheek, making her giggle. "How is my little angel?"
"Baaaaa..." she smiled brightly, cooing adorably at her father.
Qingqing glared at Li.

Lanying shook her head to Xinyue. "Can you not learn sothing from Wei?" She pointed her finger at him.
Xinyue turned to see Lihua eagerly clicking their pictures with her putting all sorts of flurry headbands on top of Wei’s head. But there wasn’t even a single hint of complaint or embarrassnt in his eyes. Instead, his doting and warm expression made it very clear that he didn’t mind Lihua’s fashion style on him as long as it made her happy.
Xinyue pointed his finger at him too. "That man is not normal. He sees nothing but my silly and dumb little sister."
Ruiling’s expression twisted. "Shouldn’t you be like this too?"
"Sorry, I implore to see myself too and not beco blind like him," he patted her cheek.
Jia rolled her eyes and grabbed the phone from Ruiling while carrying Weiyun in her other arm. "Let’s learn to be flexible. Co on now. Stand together and I will click a beautiful picture. It is monts like these that you should never miss~"
He dryly comnted. "Can that mont not be without this silly headband?"
"Either choose to click a picture wearing the headband or holding a magic wand. Your pick," Jia left no room to negotiate.
The sa store selling headbands also sold glittery toy magic wands for girls.
Xinyue’s face twisted hard.
If I am made to pose with a magic wand, I will really kill myself.
The headband was a far better option than a girly magic wand at any ti. He eventually obliged. "Fine!"
Lihua and Lanying burst into laughter, watching him helplessly bend to Jia’s tactics. Jia clicked a picture, and Ruiling emotionally jumped to hug her. "You are the best, Jia! You straightened his attitude so easily. Teach these tricks too~"
"Skills I learned here and there by interrogating hundreds of suspects in cases," Jia winked and laughed.
"Excuse ?" Xinyue raised a protest. "Did you just use a tactic on you usually use on shady suspects?"
"If it works, it works~"
"Jiaaa..."
Weiyun pointed his chubby finger towards a store apparently attracted to a nearby store and chuckling, Jia obliged to his wishes. She leaned in to see the items on display. "Let’s see. What has caught my nephew’s eye here?"
"I think it would be , my Spicy~" A sultry voice hushed in her ear.
