Chapter 318: “Even Though I Was the First…”

At this point in ti, Shien had already to the solemn looking temple.

Before him, Nien ca up to welco him with a smile on her face, but she suddenly froze.

“Eh? Why are you…?”

Nien seed to have discovered sothing, and a shocked expression ca over her face.

Shien could see that Nien was sowhat shaken from the look in her eyes.

He didn’t pay any attention to that however. He just spoke his next words without a hint of emotion.

“Can you send back now?”

Shien spoke simply and clearly with a cold expression. It made Nien shudder involuntarily before she suppressed the uncertainly that ca over her heart.

Although that kind of thing was very important, comparatively speaking, Nien naturally cared more about Shien.

“A-are you angry?”

Nien weakly spoke. Her previous obstinacy and forcefulness was nowhere to be seen now.

“No.” Shien just shook his head without any emotions, “Send back then.”

Nien seed to have wanted to say sothing more in response to that, but she was t with Shien’s focused stare.

Truth be told, the way he was acting really did kind of made Nien scared.

(Oh no, oh no. He really is mad.)

Nien couldn’t help but regret things a bit.

If she knew that this was going to happen, then she would have used a gentler thod.

Now she’s done it. She had made the Hero what she yearned for day and night angry with her.

If Shien was to start hating her in the future, then Nien feels like she would have no reason to keep on living.

As she thought that, Nien decided to try and peak at Shien’s thoughts.

However, that quick peak showed Nien a problem.

The regret in Nien’s heart thickened.

Nien however did not know that, back in the Holy Sanctum, Shien had gained a new skill due to his strong with to teach her a lesson.

It’s a skill to purge oneself of all ravenous thoughts. A way to enter a ditative state.

There are sayings about how a clear mind leads to true enlightennt, and this particular skill lets one calm themselves and be unaffected by outer forces.

Now, Shien had entered this state to calm his mind down to the point where he had no thoughts at all.

In this state, it’s only natural for Nien to be unable to read Shien’s mind, making her ignorant of his thoughts.

Of course, Shien wasn’t just planning to make it so that Nien couldn’t read his mind.

Since she had seriously tripped him u here, he can’t call him Shien anymore if he doesn’t do sothing to retaliate.

Thus…

“Send back.”

Shien spoke up again with an utterly calm expression.

This ti, Nien had no choice but to acquiesce.

“A-alright. Go ahead and go back to calm down your anger first. I’ll co to talk with you later…”

Nien acted like a little kid who just did sothing wrong. She hesitated and tried to avoid looking at Shien as she tearily waved her hand to start warping the space around Shien.

Just at that mont though…

“A chance!”

Shien suddenly exited his [Calm Mind] state. His eyes flashed as he released all his might and charged right at Nien.

“Shit…!?”

Nien finally saw Shien’s thoughts and reacted with alarm.

But it was already too late for her.

“Bang!”

With a dull impact, Shien chopped down with his hand onto the back of Nien’s neck, making Nien fall over unconscious without her even able to let out a sound.

Only then did Shien finally carry Nien and laid her down on the ground. Then, he imdiately charged back to his original position, inside the spacial warp currently unfolding.

The entire process took less than half a second of ti.

Thus, Shien successfully left the temple, only leaving Nien lying on the ground by herself, who did not wake up for so ti.

“Whoosh!”

Inside the baths of the Bayztrot mansion, Shien finally returned.

“Hoho… Hehe… Hahahaha!’

Shien couldn’t stop himself from laughing out loud. He laughed in an extrely good mood.

“You dared to trip like that!”

“You dared to keep from returning!”

“And you also had to be the first?”

“I’ll first your mom!”

Shien happily shouted out at having accomplished his goal.

“Didn’t you refuse to let do anything to the girls around that I haven’t done to you?”

“You thought that you could imdiately summon over the mont I tried any of that, so you could stop at any ti?”

“But you’re unconscious now, so there’s no way that you can stop now, right?”

Shien who was in a great mood imdiately ran back to his room.

It was already starting to turn light outside.

Shien’s room was completely silent, not having any sound inside it.

Outside the window, Yulin was already lying down asleep.

The door to Shien’s room was then quietly opened, allowing Shien to pop his head in.

“Lucy? Are you still here?”

Shien spoke out tentatively.

No one answered him.

Nor was there any sound.

“… Did she go back?”

Shien then ca in from outside the door, quietly shut the door behind him, and swept his gaze across his room questioningly.

Only after his sweep did Shien notice the abnormality here.

“Huu… Huu…”

A figure was sleeping on Shien’s bed, breathing softly.

Naturally, it was Lucy.

“She actually fell asleep?”

Shien was stunned for a mont before he was showed a difficult expression on his face.

But right after that, Shien stopped.

“Ughh… You bastard…”

Lucy started mumbling complains in her sleep right before him.

“Making hesitate so much… But then you stood up… Bastard… Idiot…”

Lucy was mumbling such things.

“Cough…”

Shien felt guilty at that mont as well.

Although it was due to circumstances beyond his control, he did in fact invite a girl over to spend the night. Yet, then he disappeared while the girl was feeling nervous and uncertain, keeping her in that state for the entire night. That really was a bit much.

“It’s all that goddess’s fault…”

Shien really felt like just knocking that goddess unconscious really was too good for her.

Next ti, seriously at the next eting, he’s definitely going to properly teach her a lesson.

With such thoughts in mind, Shien tiptoed his way to the bed and looked down on the princess’s sweat and adorable sleeping face.

That sleeping visage is different from that of that omnipotent goddess. It felt sowhat innocent, but also sowhat tired and exhausted.

“I really did managed to see more than enough sleeping faces of beautiful girls, in various ways.”

Shien unconsciously chuckled before reaching out ad poking at Lucy’s cheeks.

“Ugh…”

Lucy frowned slightly, seeming having felt sothing uncomfortable.

Even so, Lucy was still mumbling.

“Bastard… Idiot… Piece of shit… I finally prepared my heart for it after so much too…”

Mumbling like that continuously ca out of Lucy’s mouth.

When he heard those mumbling, Shien could easily realize just what kind of ntal journey Lucy went through during the previous night.

She must have been nervous and anxious. She wants to retreat, but was forced to give up on it due to Yulin’s existence. Then, in the end, she seed to have given up and simply tried to encourage herself and thus finally prepared herself for accepting all that was going to happen, right?

This made Shien had a hard ti holding himself back.

Truth be told, he never actually thought that the princess would actually resign herself to her fate.

He had thought that even if Yulin was around, and even if Lucy won’t try an obvious escape due to not wanting to cause too much of a disturbance, she would still resist with all her might when Shien gets back and not let him have his way.

Thus, Shien even made a plan to deal with that. He thought of so minor tactics to convince Lucy and crush her objections.

Who would have thought that, in the end, that girl would instead end up resigning herself and preparing herself instead.

Yet, he ended up making her wait uselessly the entire night?

If nothing really did happen even then, then there’s no justice in the world!

“Freaking hell…”

Shien allowed his emotions to rampage and reached his dirty claws out towards the sleeping Lucy.

Lucy finally woke up.

However, when she woke up, her situation imdiately made this princess bewildered.

“Where’s my clothes?”

That was the first thought in Lucy’s mind, as well as the last one.

The next second, a wolfish figure pounce on her. Lucy only had the ti to let out a shocked gasp before she was unable to say anything else at all.

From that mont on, the room turned heated, filled with all kinds of heated atmosphere.

Outside the windows, it was already completely bright out.

Under the sunlight, Yulin felt like there was so kind of annoying noise from sowhere, making her irritably adjust her head.

Yulin switched to another direction and continued to sleep away.

On the other side, Nien finally woke up within her temple. She held her head like she was still dizzy.

“So uncomfortable…”

Nien felt like her head was very heavy, almost as if it got hit by sothing.

… Wait a minute, hit by sothing?

Right! She, lady Nien, really did get hit!

Nien imdiately woke right up and waved her hand, making a scene right before her.

In that scene, within Shien’s room, a man and a woman were holding each other while asleep.

There’s no way that Nien wouldn’t understand just what did that kind of situation actually ant.

Shien started shaking all over.

That was due to rage.

“Even though I was the first… Even though it should have been first…”

Nien was pissed beyond words.

She had done so much, even risking Shien’s ire in order to stop this from happening. Yet, in the end, was she was still unable to change this outco?

All she did turned useless, and she even got hit at that?

“No, that’s not it. I didn’t just get hit…”

She having sent her Hero to the Holy Sanctum seed to have been a wrong decision as well, huh?

“That goddess. She actually gave that thing to my Hero?”

Nien only got more angry as she rembered that fact.

“Didn’t you stop caring about anything anymore?”

“Weren’t you no longer paying attention to any existences anymore?”

“Weren’t you supposed to not wake up anymore?”

“Didn’t you lose all interest in this world?”

“What the heck is this then? What do you plan on doing to the Hero that I finally summoned after all this work!?”

Nien was angry and upset.

Then, Nien started worrying.

After all, that thing was not sothing simple.

If sothing goes wrong, then Shein may end up causing an unthinkable disaster.

After all, back then, that goddess had taken that thing away with her. She even used her own power to suppress it, which is why the Demon King could no longer revive.

But now, that thing was released…
