Uncle?
The little one spoke in a sweet, childish voice, and was so soft and adorable. But... "No, I’m not an uncle. Uncle is for calling older n. Co, say sister?"
The little guy tilted his head and seriously looked at the "sister" in front of him: "Jiejie?" Then, he shook his little head, "No, Shushu, it’s Shushu!"
The child began to gesture, but Dong Huiying couldn’t understand. However, the child didn’t give up. He pointed at his purple outfit, grinning happily, "Shushu, purple Shushu!"
Purple uncle?

The child blinked, "House! Daddy is building a house!"

The child curiously watched, and after Dong Huiying applied the ointnt, he hugged Dong Huiying’s neck: "Shushu, like!" He slobbered all over her face with kisses.
Dong Huiying couldn’t stop laughing, "You’re really not shy." She tapped the child’s little nose, then suddenly the child’s stomach growled, and he bashfully covered his little tummy with big eyes darting around searching for sothing, yet he didn’t dare to look anyone in the eye, appearing quite guilty.
"Looks like he’s hungry."
She picked up the chubby child, scooped so soup, and let him sit in her lap, cooling it with a small spoon and feeding him bit by bit.
But what she didn’t know was, the two n beside her, Zhi Chen and Shu Yu exchanged a glance, then both looked at the adult and child pair again.
Haoming walked in with a bundle of firewood, curiously looking at the wife, then sized up the child in her lap.
A kid?
About two years old, chubby, with a face full of baby fat, and very fair, those eyes... Haoming looked at his wife, then glanced at the child, and back at his wife, and then again at the child...
They do look a bit alike.
The child, full and sleepy, nested in Dong Huiying’s arms, nodding off.
Dong Huiying adjusted her position to make the child more comfy in her embrace. Then she looked at Zhi Chen, "When Shujun gets back, have them go out and ask around again, this child got lost, the family must be worried."
Zhi Chen smiled and agreed, "Alright, but this child is quite young, and doesn’t seem to be from an ordinary family judging by the clothes, which are exquisitely crafted." With a hint of a milky scent...
Although, admittedly, this child does resemble the wife a lot.
