A few People in Black, upon realizing their presence was discovered, began retreating outside the manor. One of them carried a person over their shoulder.
"Wife-Master!" Shujun almost didn’t think before darting forward, but the People in Black covering the retreat threw a black sphere, which hit the ground, exploding instantly, releasing a thick, choking smoke that blocked the path and obscured vision.
Shujun coughed repeatedly; Haoming’s expression was grim, and Yixuan squinted slightly.
When the smoke dispersed, there was no sign of anyone ahead.
The commotion here had also awakened Yun Ge and the others.
