Now reading: Chapter 1605 - 1692: Hidden Motives from The Divine Doctor And A Common Farmer, a Romance novel by Mountain Sunrise.

Ah Lian quietly looked at Qinghe. She knew well that what shouldn’t be said must not be said, and what shouldn’t be asked shouldn’t be asked. If the young master didn’t ntion it, it ant he was unwilling to share. And no matter how curious she was, she must not disturb him too much.

Qinghe stood by the desk, pondering and asked, "Could it be true that Witch Liu has such kind intentions?"

Qinghe stood up and began to pace back and forth. He deliberated carefully.

It always seed that Liu Yi must have had other motives for visiting Bai Xian.

But what could these motives be? Bai Xian, a re prostitute, what could possibly be worth Liu Yi’s scheming?

In other words, it’s truly an elevation for Bai Xian for Liu Yi to go see him this ti. Qinghe believed that it must be sothing about Bai Xian, or sothing related to him, that stirred Liu Yi’s interest, attracting him to lower himself this way.

Liu Yi’s so-called ’treatnt for Bai Xian’, this high-sounding excuse, might deceive others, but not Qinghe.

Originally, before knowing Dong Huiying’s identity, Qinghe, although disliking the Eighth Princess, could still endure his temper and engage in superficial pleasantries. But ever since that day when he learned of Dong Huiying’s identity, Qinghe could no longer restrain himself.

In fact, if not for the larger picture, he wouldn’t even care to ’pretend’ anymore.

That’s why the Eighth Princess noticed that Qinghe’s attitude towards her seed to beco increasingly indifferent.

At such a ti, Bai Xian appeared.

If it were anyone else, they might have felt a sense of crisis, fearing that their wife might transfer her affections elsewhere.

However, Qinghe was different.

He wasn’t the least bit nervous or worried; in fact, he seed rather amused by it all.

In Qinghe’s view, Bai Xian’s origins destined him only to be a plaything for the Eighth Princess. Whether his na could even be inscribed on the royal jade dishware was debatable. He believed that even if the Eighth Princess was infatuated with Bai Xian for a mont, this infatuation could never last.

So why should he worry?

The fundantal reason, of course, was that he never cared about the Eighth Princess, and for this reason, his calm disposition bordered on coldness.

It was laughable that the Eighth Princess mistakenly took Qinghe as a good mate, showered him with honor and pampering over the years, yet unaware that Qinghe never reciprocated in the slightest.

What she gave, was not what he desired. And what he desired, was this kingdom, to burn it to ashes!

Back to the point.

Previously, Qinghe didn’t pay much attention to Bai Xian, but this ti, with Liu Yi’s initiative to visit Bai Xian, Qinghe officially took notice of Bai Xian and no longer regarded him as a re sideshow.

After much contemplation, he said to Ah Lian, "Ah Lian, have soone keep an eye on Witch Liu and Bai Xian. I can’t help but feel there might be sothing hidden here unknown to us both."

Ah Lian nodded her agreent, and after leaving, she imdiately followed Qinghe’s instructions and gave the orders.

On Bai Xian’s side, he remained oblivious to all of this. Ultimately, though he had so cleverness, he was just an ordinary person. But on Liu Yi’s side, Bazak sensed it imdiately and promptly inford Liu Yi.

Liu Yi was slightly stunned and then couldn’t help but laugh! "As expected, you’re quite the Xiaos."

Bazak was puzzled, "Xiao?"

Could there be so significance to this surna?

Bazak expressed his doubts, but Liu Yi simply kept smiling, seemingly unwilling to answer.

Bazak showed a look of confusion, but since Liu Yi didn’t want to explain, he wouldn’t force it. He could only bury this doubt in his heart for now, hoping for so future day, perhaps after eting certain people or going through so experiences, when the timing is right, the mystery might naturally be revealed...
