Shu Yu paused for a mont, then raised her hand gently, tenderly stroking Dong Huiying’s hair.

"I can understand this feeling of yours," Shu Yu said. After all, back then... when the wife master disappeared without a word, the brothers scattered everywhere to find her.

Shu Yu herself went to Jiangnan. And while he was in Jiangnan, he received a letter from Yun Ge, learning that the wife master he missed dearly appeared in the Capital. He was equally anxious and couldn’t sit still, so he rushed over imdiately.

That kind of impatience was exactly the sa as the wife master’s current feelings. He had experienced similar emotions as the wife master at that mont, so he could exceptionally understand, comprehend, and clearly know what the wife master felt in her heart.

Dong Huiying’s lips moved slightly; she seed to want to say sothing, but in the end, she closed her mouth again. She held the flowers Shu Yu gave her, looking down absentmindedly.

Shu Yu was puzzled for a mont. "Why do you hesitate to speak? Is there sothing you can’t tell ?"

Dong Huiying sighed deeply. "It’s not that I can’t tell you, but I suddenly realized just now... what I wanted to say, I’ve already said too many tis."

Shu Yu asked, "What are you referring to?"

Dong Huiying brought her nose close to the flowers, gently sniffing their scent. Though speaking of fragrance, it wasn’t quite fragrant.

These wildflowers and wild grasses didn’t possess a dense aroma; rather, they had a fresher scent belonging to nature, belonging to the plants.

Yet under the glow of the orange bonfire, her expression at this mont fell into Shu Yu’s gaze, sohow making Shu Yu feel... she seed extrely lonely?

Shu Yu couldn’t understand this feeling because he was unsure of the reason for Dong Huiying’s loneliness. What exactly was troubling her? Or should I say, what was he sad, upset, lost, guilty, or self-reproaching for?

Dong Huiying first let out a heavy breath, then deeply inhaled the fresh night air. Only then did she return to a radiant deanor, smiling cheerfully at Shu Yu.

"I’ve told you many tis sothing similar before, like, once all these things are settled, we’ll live happily together and never separate again; but I find that plans always seem to change unexpectedly, all sorts of things happen, as if invisibly a hand is ddling with our Destiny Plate, playing with our fate’s trajectory, pushing us toward unforeseen directions... and this feeling is truly vexing, and indeed very bad, making feel terribly awful."

Dong Huiying paused for a mont, then continued speaking: "I believe you brothers should know that my nature, although not extraordinarily calm, is by no ans one that likes turmoil. I’m quite lazy in personality, unwilling to bother with many things, and my ideal life is one of peaceful warmth, is to be with you all without separation. Yet, unforeseen forces arise, factors I cannot resist, forcing us to face the pain of separation. And I really detest this situation."

Shu Yu sat down beside Dong Huiying.

He extended his long arm, pulling Dong Huiying into his embrace.
