Upon opening the jar, she saw nurous small insect corpses inside and her face instantly fell.
"Roar!"
Da Bai roared at the little girl, then with a flash in its eyes, its massive paw struck towards the girl like lightning. The little girl caught Da Bai’s tiger paw with a counter-grab, displaying imnse strength as she flung Da Bai away.
With a thud, the White Tiger’s body smashed into the ground.
The little girl pouted, "Are you asking for a beating? When I left the mountain, you sneakily followed . And if you were going to follow, just follow, but why keep launching surprise attacks? How many tis has it been now? You never learn."
Da Bai rolled over on the ground, then got up and bared its teeth at the little girl with a nacing growl.
The little girl sighed, "Do you take after your tiger dad or your tiger mom? If I didn’t find being alone too boring, just based on your temperant, I’d have no choice but to slap you to death."
After saying that, she rolled up her sleeves. Da Bai zipped to the side in an instant, but this made her laugh, "You’re hopeless."
She then picked up the rough clay jar from the ground, dumped out the dead insects, and opened another jar which contained many live ones.
This young girl was naturally Dong Huiying, who had left Taihang Mountain a month prior.
She was recently studying the Poison Gu Art. Back on Three Finger Peak of Taihang Mountain, so mories had unexpectedly surfaced in her mind, revealing that she was under the influence of a Gu Insect. Combined with eting Dong Dabao’s mother at the ti, she didn’t know how to face her feelings and left in low spirits.
She decided to capture so poisonous insects to see if she could refine Gu from them. Since Taihang Mountain had too few poisonous creatures, but the neighboring Qingfeng Mountain in Qingfeng Prefecture was famously abundant with them.
She had caught quite a few insects here, but unfortunately, most of their poison wasn’t strong enough. She then had the brilliant idea to concoct her own poison and feed it to the insects. During this month-long period, she attempted Gu Refinent many tis but only succeeded eleven tis.
Dong Huiying wondered if her low success rate ant she lacked talent in this area?
What she didn’t realize was that her achievents were already quite defiant of the heavens. Other Gu Refiners usually received legacies and had elders teaching them, taking every advantage, but they could only refine twice at most in a month because each refinent process was exceedingly long.
Before evolving into Poisonous Gu, the toxicity of the little insects varied. Although Gu Refinent emphasizes survival of the fittest, she was skilled in dical arts, and the paths of dicine and poison originally stemd from the sa root.
Using her dical skills to create poisons, feeding and then evolving these poisonous insects into Gu, despite many failures within a month, she succeeded eleven tis. If other Gu Refiners knew of this, they would be utterly astonished.
Furthermore, Dong Huiying had once seen a reference to the Poison Gu Art in a classic text on mysterious studies, but it had no detailed instructions—she was rely groping her way across the river by feeling the stones.
While other Gu Refiners were benefiting from the groundwork laid by their predecessors, Dong Huiying was practically creating a system of her own, finding the evolution techniques for the Gu Insects herself. When compared, it was clear to see who was stronger and who was weaker.
Taking out a few small insects from the clay jar, she fed them so water mixed with poison powder, then left them inside the jar without further attention.
Murmuring under her breath, she sumd up her failed experiences, which aid to improve her Gu Refinent success rate in the future.
Afterward, she took out a small porcelain bottle and released a beautiful, colorful butterfly.
