Now reading: Chapter 648: from The Divine Doctor And A Common Farmer, a Romance novel by Mountain Sunrise.

With a weary back and feeble legs, he was dealing with the backlog left after several days of reveling.

The preparations for opening the store were almost complete, ready to start business at any mont. He was concerned about his little wife at ho. This ti, his little wife had truly fed him well, to the extent that just thinking about those days of chaos made his lower back tingle and his calves cramp incessantly.

Nevertheless, his wife was always his wife, and he still cherished thoughts of her. So, when his elder brother told him that his wife had "woken up," he rode back to Purple Garden with Yue Ning.

It was a bad ti when Shujun returned; Shu Yu, nicknad Lao Er, was throwing a tantrum.

"Ahem, I know it’s my fault," the little wife said in a tone of doing sothing wrong, bowing her head submissively, "but you can’t just skip treatnt, right? Fear of illness deterring you from seeing a doctor is really not good."

Wrapped in a blanket, Shu Yu shivered and glanced at her, clearly very angry, "Whom do you think is to bla?"

"Alright, alright, it’s my bad, my fault, all on , okay? Lao Er, can you calm down a bit?"

Shu Yu choked, unable to utter a word due to her retort.

Why did she have to be so accommodating? If she had thrown a fit or scolded him, he might have perford better, but now she was just smoothing things over, making it difficult for him to lash out.

"...Hmph!" She turned her head away, unwilling to look at him. She had been in a deep sleep for two days, and he had rested too. However, his body still felt terrible, and the illness that had just improved, the body that had just started to recover, was failing again.

He couldn’t get out of bed these past two days, despite having hoped to enjoy the snow outside since it wasn’t too cold. Now though, what was there to enjoy? He had to sit obediently back in his dicine tub and lay there ill and listless once again.

Dong Huiying was genuinely embarrassed, but she couldn’t just neglect him, so she stealthily stretched out a hand and touched his wrist. Noticing that his body was stiff yet he said nothing.

Hmm? Not talking? Alright, she decided to pretend she didn’t notice his aversion to her.

After checking his pulse, she went to the pharmacy. The herbal dicine stock at ho was almost depleted, so she had to get soone to buy more. Therefore, the bitter scent of the dicine lingered in the courtyard for a long ti, with Shu Yu frowning at every sip, truly tasting the bitterness.

"Try this?" the little wife offered a bowl of rock sugar with trella soup. Shu Yu grimaced, but what else could he do at this point?

He drank the soup in small sips. The sweet soup dispersed the bitterness in his mouth, and his previously furrowed brow relaxed sowhat.

Seeing this, Dong Huiying was reassured.

These past few nights, the brothers still took turns visiting the wife’s room daily.

That night was Shujun’s "shift." The two were slickly lying in the bed, just having sweated profusely. Clingily holding onto his little wife, Shujun cooed, "Xiao Hui, pay so attention to , too. You’ve been preoccupied with Shu Yu these days. I’ve co back from Balibao several tis, and you didn’t care about ; do you know how heartbroken I am?"

She was at her wit’s end, "Alright, alright, isn’t this...isn’t this because Shu Yu is unwell? I have to take care of him, it also saves you guys from worrying, right?"

"Then kiss !"

"Three years old Liang..."

Helpless, she pecked him on the lips, which cheered him up. Thus, the bed turned a rosy red, and after a long battle, they finally embraced each other in sleep.
