Shu Yu returned with a calm expression. It wasn’t clear where he had wandered off to, but when he left, his hands were empty, and upon his return...
He saw his wife squatting on the ground, using a small stick to herd a group of ants into the ant hole. A slight smile curled at his lips as he leisurely approached her.
Dong Huiying heard footsteps and instinctively looked up, only to see the second master still exuding his jade-like elegance with an ethereal aura, but his left hand was hidden behind his back.
He stood a short distance away, with a deanor as though he might ascend and beco an immortal at any mont. The soft afternoon sunlight draped over him against the azure sky, making him look as picturesque as a painting.
Indeed, being good-looking brings an eye-catching charm, making one stand out no matter where they are.
She stood up abruptly, about to walk towards Shu Yu, but at that mont, perhaps from squatting too long or sothing else, her vision went black and her head spun for a mont.
This ti, the fairy-like second master dropped the act and hurried towards her, "Huiying!!"
She pressed her temple, feeling his arm supporting her, seemingly slling the scent of flowers. When her vision cleared and refocused, she saw the pale face of the second master before her.
He appeared to be quite frightened, almost bloodless.
She couldn’t help but chuckle. She rely felt a bit dizzy, yet he was so alard. But why did this sweetness linger in her heart?
"I’m fine, probably just squatted for too long."
He frowned, "Fool!" and tapped her head. Then, the hand he had hidden behind him suddenly appeared. Dong Huiying paused in surprise; it was a large, fiery-red bouquet, and she didn’t know where he’d picked it from.
Taking a closer look at the man, she noticed so mud on the edge of his shoes. This lazy and particular man, who usually wouldn’t walk a few steps without reluctance, loved cleanliness so much that even a bit of dirt would make him feel defiled. His discomfort was evident from his expression and body language.
Yet, such a man had done sothing he disliked just for her.
Shu Yu looked visibly uncomfortable, averting his gaze with a light cough, "It’s just sothing I picked randomly, if you like it, take it." Then he stuffed the large bouquet of fiery flowers into her arms.
Dong Huiying paused in surprise.
She had received gifts from the Liang family before, gifts usually consisting of clothes (sewn by Sansan), shops (bought for her by Zhi Chen), new mattresses and quilts (made by Yixuan), at (hunted by Yue Ning from the mountains), and little snacks (fed to her by Haoming)...
But these things all carried the breath of everyday life. Flowers, on the other hand, add a touch of romance to this simplicity, which seed to be a first for her.
Feeling a bit happy, she leaned in to sll the flowers, "What a fragrance!"
The smile on her face was sweet, unaware that as she looked at the flowers, soone else was looking at her.
Shu Yu’s ears were a bit red, but he maintained a composed deanor. Yet internally, thoughts kept surfacing: —He just knew she suited red!
These flowers suited her even more!
Compared to those delicate white blooms, she was more fitting for this fiery, passionate, and vibrant color!
