When Ye Chutang and the others arrived outside the Han Mansion, this was the scene that greeted them.
Ye Yunfeng frowned. "Sister, what do we do?"
Back at the Lan Yue Building, you said Han Yao would surely be fine, but this situation... it looks hard to handle.
Ye Chutang walked straight ahead.
"Excuse , please make way."
The people standing in front heard her and turned. Their impatient expressions froze for a mont when they saw her serene and beautiful face.
Soone nearby recognized Ye Chutang and gasped, "Second Miss Ye?"
Ye Chutang was already famous throughout the Capital City. At the ntion of "Second Miss Ye," everyone knew without a doubt who they were talking about.
Seeing her approach, the crowd quickly parted to let her through.
"Second Miss Ye, are you here for Han Yao, too? It doesn’t look like he’s co out yet!"
Ye Chutang gave a slight nod and continued walking forward.
Even from a distance, they could feel the searing heat. The scalding temperature felt as if it could scorch their very skin.
Whatever remained of Ye Jingyan’s tipsiness had long since vanished. He stepped in front of Ye Chutang, blocking her path.
"Sister, you can’t go any further."
Ye Yunfeng handed Xiao Wu to Ye Jingyan, eager to volunteer. "Sister, why don’t I go in and take a look?"
Xiao Wu blinked, tugging gently at his sleeve. Her large, dark eyes, round like black grapes, were filled with undisguised nervousness.
’Fourth Brother, don’t go!’
"That’s not necessary." Ye Chutang shook her head, her gaze fixed on the scene before them. "We’ll wait."

Ye Chutang’s expression was serene as she silently counted to herself.
Just then, the sound of galloping hooves echoed from the distance!
The crowd turned to look and saw a troop of governnt soldiers rapidly approaching.
"The authorities are here!"
Soone in the crowd shouted, and everyone, startled, quickly backed away.
Hearing this, Ye Chutang also tilted her head slightly to look.
The man in the lead rode forth, his bearing cold and noble. He seed like an exiled immortal, yet he carried a piercing aura, like the bright moon over a snow-capped mountain—distant and untouchable.
Amid the night and the inferno’s glow, his beauty was unparalleled.
Ye Chutang raised an eyebrow almost imperceptibly.
As if sensing her gaze, he looked over, his own gaze sharp and focused.
The mont their eyes t, a single thought drifted through Ye Chutang’s mind—
’This man... he was well worth saving.’

Soone recognized Shen Yanchuan and gasped, but their surprise quickly turned to confusion.

Shen Yanchuan sat tall on his horse. His dark eyes swept impassively over Ye Chutang, and seeing her safe and sound, the worry that gripped his heart finally eased.
Ye Chutang had been rushing in and out of the Han Mansion for the past two days, so when he saw the massive fire from a distance, he had been filled with worry.
He knew she was far too clever to put herself in such a dangerous situation. Even so, it wasn’t until this very mont, seeing her standing there unhard, her features lovely and her eyes clear, that the knot of anxiety in his chest finally, quietly, unraveled.
"Second Miss Ye."
He acknowledged her with a nod.
Ye Chutang lowered her head in a respectful bow. "Princely Heir."
Shen Yanchuan’s gaze swept over Ye Jingyan and Ye Yunfeng behind her.
"Did you just arrive as well?"
