At the outskirts of Spira city, beneath a decrepit mansion, laid a catacomb, serving as an underground dungeon.
Cells were layered against walls, each one with it’s prisoner, or in so cases, prisoners.
Most were children, so were teenagers, and even so adults.
In one of the chambers of the catacombs, sitting on a desk, was a turquoise haired girl, and standing before her were six other figures, one of them being the sa blond man that had a scuffle with Damon earlier.
"Alan, did you find out who they were?" The lady broke the silence.
"I’m afraid not lady Jayden. When I was instructing the city lord about it, the one I had t at the tavern appeared in the city lord’s mansion."
"So did you kill him?" Another woman standing next to him asked.
"I would like to think I did, but..."
"What the hell do you an by that?!" One of the heretics in the room turned to him. "He clearly knew you were a mber of the dark cult, and you let him go?!" The heretic grabbed the collars of the blond man.
"Enough!" The turquoise haired woman interjected. "None of them have left the city correct?" She turned to Alan.
"Affirmative, lady Jayden, it seems they’re planning to spend the night here." Alan replied.
The turquoise haired girl smiled. "Since that’s the case, we might as well make it their last night."

Anastasia turned towards .
"I’ll be in the rescue group with him."
I blinked.
’Wait, what the hell?’ I couldn’t have that. I wouldn’t be able to move as freely as I would, if she was with .
"I’m afraid not miss Necron." I shook my head. "For the plan to work, you’d have to play the part I’m going to assign to you."
She stood up.
"Then no, I’ll see you all back at the institute."
"..."
"..."
This bitch just pulled the sa move I did, didn’t she?
"Please don’t be so hasty miss Necron." Alistair took over. "If you want to join Damon, the plan can be adjusted right?" he turned to .
I paused. Should I agree? If I declined, she’ll likely go back to the institute, or at least stay out of the events, that way I’ll be able to better predict different outcos. But, the others might not agree to pushing her out, and fitting in.
That was where the problem lied. In their eyes she was far stronger than , which she probably was, because she seed to be actively hiding her rank. What rank was she in? Eta ?
But still, ’Like hell I’d agree to that.’
I turned to the redhead, still wondering why in the world she would vehently insist that we be grouped together.
"Why do you insist on that?, Is it because you think that I alone wouldn’t be able to do the rescue?"
"Not at all." she mildly shook her head.
"Then why?" I frowned.
"You’re shady, I don’t trust you."
’This bitch...’ It’s official, I hate this woman.
’But wait, maybe I can turn this in my favour.’ I thought as I looked her in the eyes.
"I’m sorry, I cannot agree to that. That’ll disrupt the plan I have in mind. And if that’s the case, it’ll have to be either , or you."
"Hmph, you must be kidding yourself." one of the extras scoffed.
"Do you think we’d ever pick you over her?"
"That’s a one of a kind comparison if I’ve ever seen one." the white haired bitch chuckled.
"Okay, let’s all just calm down a little bit." Alistair interfered before turning to .
"Is there really no way you can adjust it?"
"No there isn’t." I lied. If I wanted to, I could co up with various different plans, each to ensure our victory, albeit with so sacrifices.
"Then I’m sorry Damon, but if we have to choose between miss Necron and you, we’ll go with her any day."
"Thought so." I nodded. "I’ll be taking my leave then." I turned towards the door. No one said a word as I left.
’Great, now I’ll be free to do as I wish.’ I thought in glee. The original reason I decided to help in the first place, was because their plan was utterly foolish.
But now that I had already given them a fra work of a plan, and the estimated number of heretics, they should at the very least be able to make a complete plan. At least a lot less people would die than with their original plan.
While they’re sieging the heretics’ base, I’d silently wait for what brought here in the first place.
"Hold up man, I’m coming with." I felt Dion’s hand on my shoulder just as I grabbed the door knob.
I raised a brow.
"Aren’t you gonna join them?"
"If you’re leaving, then so am I, how else can I call myself a friend?"
I scoffed.
"Tsk, who your friend?" I clicked my tongue as we went out the cafe. But still, a smile couldn’t help but appear on my lips.
However, "Hold on!" We hadn’t even made it five ters from the cafe’s entrance, when I heard Rose’s voice.
"Hmmm?" I turned back to look at her. What the hell did she want from ?
"We need to talk." She said walking towards us.
"No, I’m kind of busy at the mont." I replied flatly.
"Um.... do you two need so space?" Dion asked.
"If you don’t mind."
"No."
Rose and I said simultaneously.
Dion stood stumped, unable to decide who’s words to need, and who’s to discard, but with a glare from Rose, he quickly excused himself.
"Uh, I think I’ll go take a leak." He murmured, and moved so distance away.
"What do you want?" I asked calmly.
"As I said earlier, we need to talk."
"Did you not hear my reply? I said I’m busy at the mont."
"Do not make repeat myself brother." She threatened as the air started to sizzle.
But I wasn’t scared, even as beads of sweat literally started forming on my forehead, I glared harder.
"Oh, my dear sister finally rembers she has a brother. What a nice normal family reunion." I said mockingly.
By now I had understood why she wanted to talk to . She was curious.... No, she was racking her brain thinking how I went from being able to make my reflection invisible, to being able to make clones.
Hell would be frozen over before I told anyone how it happened. It was a secret I was taking to my grave, just like that of my transmigration.
"How did you do it?" She went straight to the point.
"Do what?" I asked showing confusion, even though my lips were threatening to curl upwards.
"Do not kid with Damon, you know damn well what I ant."
"Oh now, do I?" I asked amused. "I honestly don’t, be explicit please."
"Fine." She relented. "I’ll be as specific as you want. How did you get to the Eta- rank?"
Oh my God, Rose dropping her pride? That’s sothing I’d never seen in my entire lifeti. ’Guess she’s really dying to know.’ I thought.
Which makes it all the more fun to annoy her. I stared dead at her.
"I channeled, how else."
She gritted her teeth.
"You’re pushing past yourself." her tone grew dangerous as little golden embers began flickering around her, making the surroundings grow hazy.
By this ti, I knew it was ti to stop pushing, otherwise I might really end up as a burnt stake.
"I have no obligation to tell you that." I said at last, before leaving her standing there, and walking to Dion who was sweating buckets.
"Man, your sister is scary as hell." he shuddered as soon as I reached him.
He then tried to hug , but I slipped away.
"What the hell are you doing?" I scowled.
"I was trying to comfort you." he shrugged. "I an living your whole life with her must have been hard."
’You have no idea.’ I inwardly said.
Sotis, I just wish I could forget so of those mories. But they’re a part of who I was, so there was nothing I could do.
"Let’s go find place to crash for the night." I muttered. Dusk was already approaching.
"What are you thinking? inn or hotel?" he asked.
"I’m fine with either." I shrugged. In this world, there were both inns and hotels. Inns were more low-key and antique, while hotels were more high profile, and luxurious. But all these was depending on your wallet.
We soon found an inn, at five bronze knotts a night per room. We booked two rooms, then had our dinner in the tavern below, before we each retired to our rooms.
Though, it wasn’t ti for sleep yet, the ti was still around 8pm, so I channeled till midnight, before retiring to my bed.
It would have been a peaceful night, if not for the fact that I was almost assassinated by a damn heretic that was.
