"Doctor, where did you hide my wife?"
Liu Banxia was supervising Cui Jia as she treated a patient’s wound in the treatnt room when he heard an angry male patient shouting from outside.
He couldn’t keep watching Cui Jia anymore and hurried outside, where he saw the male patient grabbing Su Wenhao’s white coat.
Su Wenhao’s expression was calm, "What is your wife’s na? I can help you find out."
"Don’t try to fool . I went to the CT scan area, and my wife didn’t even go for a CT scan," the male patient insisted.
"But you still need to tell your wife’s na. I don’t know her, and if you don’t tell , how can I help you?" Su Wenhao remained calm.
Liu Banxia didn’t rush forward, instead, he took out his phone and sent a ssage to Xu Yino.
We can’t wait any longer; the patient’s husband is very agitated. If we don’t handle this well, he might resort to violence. Only Su Wenhao’s calm deanor is keeping the situation under control for now.
"Take to your boss. Damn it, you liars, saying I have all these diseases! I don’t have any." The patient’s husband shouted again.
The commotion drew the curiosity of patients waiting for treatnt. It had been a long ti since there was such a stir here; it was quite uncommon.
"Do you want to complain to our director, or are you looking for your wife? If you’re complaining about our director, you can call that complaint number. If you’re looking for your wife, you must tell her na; otherwise, I really don’t know her," Su Wenhao said.
"You... Her na is Wang Cuiru," the patient’s husband stamred.
He couldn’t rember who had just seen him; they all wore white coats and looked similar.
Liu Banxia seed familiar, but he didn’t see him after a quick search. Then he saw Su Wenhao, figuring he could drag any one of them out for questioning.
"What’s going on now?" Liu Banxia couldn’t wait any longer, stepping through the crowd to approach them.
"It’s you, it’s you, where did you hide my wife?" The patient’s husband finally recognized soone familiar.
"Hasn’t your wife completed her examination? Please release your grip, go to the service desk, and have them call for her using the PA system," Liu Banxia said.
His tone was calm, devoid of personal emotion, which made the patient’s husband even more furious. His instincts told him his wife was missing, blaming the doctors for their mischief.
However, he knew he couldn’t resort to violence here, or he would suffer the consequences.
"Use the PA system to find a patient nad Wang Cuiru and announce that her husband is waiting for her at the service desk. By the way, why don’t you call her?" Liu Banxia asked once they reached the service desk.
"I... I left the phone at ho," the patient’s husband admitted.
"It’s okay, don’t worry, they’ll make the announcent right away," Liu Banxia reassured him with a nod.
"Everyone, don’t crowd around. There are quite a few patients today, and couples might be in a rush due to different injuries. Please line up; otherwise, you might miss your turn and have to queue again."
"Mrs. Wang Cuiru, Mrs. Wang Cuiru, your husband is waiting for you at the first-floor service desk, your husband is waiting for you at the first-floor service desk."
At this point, a voice over the PA system announced the search, calming the patient’s husband down sowhat.
"Do you often drink alcohol?" Liu Banxia asked.
The patient’s husband nodded subconsciously, then looked at Liu Banxia with suspicion.
"Both your eyes show signs of jaundice, a yellowish tint. Look at my eyes; they are clear with perhaps a few red veins," Liu Banxia noted.
"Check your own eyes; there’s a slight yellowing in the whites, though not very noticeable. You should be concerned, as it indicates a problem with your liver or gallbladder."
"This condition often occurs in those who drink heavily because the liver can’t process all the alcohol. You likely have so alcoholic liver disease now, which could develop into cirrhosis," he explained.
"The upper right abdon, right here where I’m touching, just below the rib margin, is where your liver is located. If you ever feel pain or can feel it significantly, you need a liver function test and an ultrasound."
"Are you trying to trick into spending money? Why hasn’t she co yet? I just rembered; it was the two female doctors. Where did they go?" the patient’s husband grew anxious again.
"Doctors have to check on patients in the wards. Each doctor manages ward patients and needs to respond to situations. They can’t all stay downstairs," Liu Banxia explained.
He felt sowhat exasperated; he couldn’t convince him. Yet, it wasn’t entirely bluffing; the guy did have slight jaundice, suggesting so liver or gallbladder dysfunction.
"Director Liu, we’ve completed the examination."
Finally, Xu Yino’s voice ca through.
Liu Banxia looked over to spot the female patient standing between Liu Yiqing and Xu Yino.
"Let’s go, we’re going ho." The patient’s husband grabbed the woman, trying to drag her away.
"What are you doing? Let go, we’ve called the police, and they’re on their way," Xu Yino urgently said.
"Get out of my way," the patient’s husband forcefully pushed Xu Yino aside.
Her small fra couldn’t withstand the man’s angry shove, and she fell to the ground.
"Enough, you’re still resorting to violence in a hospital? What’s really going on?" Liu Banxia ran over and caught hold of the patient, exerting all his strength to restrain him.
The patient’s husband struggled twice but couldn’t break free. In desperation, he forcefully headbutted backward, then jumped up and kicked his wife hard.
Liu Banxia felt a sharp pain in his nose, and tears imdiately welled up in his eyes. Then, his nostrils felt warm—he was probably having a nosebleed.
At this point, he didn’t care about anything else. He swung with force and threw the patient’s husband aside.
"If you lay a hand on her again, I’m going to get serious."
After wiping the blood from his nose, Liu Banxia shouted.
The security guards nearby weren’t just standing around; three of them rushed over together.
"Wang Cuiru, you’ve got so nerve, don’t you? Do you believe I can kill you?" The patient’s husband yelled as he got up from the floor.
"Damn, you want to try it?" Xu Yino, who had also gotten up from the floor, grabbed an IV stand and was ready to charge.
Liu Banxia quickly grabbed her to stop her.
No wonder Qiaoqiao and Xu Yino got along so well; the two girls were quite similar in temperant—both were like firecrackers, easily ignited.
"Did you call the police?" Liu Banxia asked.
"I did, they’re on their way. Teacher Liu, are you okay?" Xu Yino replied.
"I’m fine, the bleeding has mostly stopped." Liu Banxia lifted his sleeve to wipe again.
"You’ll pay for this." The patient’s husband threatened and tried to leave.
"Stop him, you can’t just hit soone and walk away. What kind of logic is that?" Liu Banxia shouted.
Actually, he felt a bit guilty, as he had sowhat manipulated the situation. So at first, he didn’t want to go too far.
Now, not only was his nose injured, but the husband also threatened murder. Whether he was bluffing or serious, they couldn’t let him leave.
The patient’s husband got even more aggressive, not only refusing to leave but also charging at Liu Banxia with a raised fist.
Liu Banxia, being quick to react, grabbed his right arm, placed his hand on the husband’s shoulder, and with a swift move, dislocated his shoulder joint.
"Ah..."
The patient’s husband scread in pain.
Liu Banxia was a bit dumbfounded too. "Don’t move recklessly, or your shoulder joint will suffer, affecting your life later. I can fix it for you."
He wasn’t thinking about anything else now, unsure if this was a side effect of his recent bone-setting experience. All he thought was not to let the man get violent again, so he just dislocated his shoulder joint.
"Don’t cause trouble; if you do, I’ll have to sedate you. The police are almost here; we’ll let them handle this." Seeing the hostility in the husband’s eyes, Liu Banxia threatened again.
"Just you wait. If you don’t kill today, I’ll kill you," the patient’s husband said through gritted teeth.
"Take your ti, you’re just one of many who want dead," Liu Banxia said candidly.
At least he’d be in the sixth position. After getting stabbed once and nearly killed by those four guys, wasn’t he the sixth?
"Teacher Liu, that was aweso," Xu Yino ca over with the IV stand, giving him a thumbs up.
"Calm down, put the stand down. What are you going to do with it?" Liu Banxia said helplessly.
"No, what if he tries to hit soone again?" Xu Yino stubbornly insisted.
The others finally realized, and in unison, stood in front of Liu Banxia, ready to face the adversary together.
As for the onlookers, they were bewildered, truly unable to comprehend what had just happened.
There was no real buildup, just a minor dispute, a few shouts, and then a flurry of action that left soone bleeding.
They didn’t understand how the doctor seed to make the guy’s arm co out of its socket with just a touch.
Was this a movie or sothing?
Indeed, scenes like this were mostly seen in movies; no one had witnessed anyone dislocate another’s arm with a re ’snap’ in real life.
"Please make way, please make way."
Shouts ca from outside the crowd.
Liu Banxia let out a long sigh of relief. The police had arrived.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t know what to do next; he couldn’t possibly dislocate the guy’s other arm, could he?
