"President Qi, which patient?" Liu Banxia asked as he walked over.

"The one sitting over there, the kid in the school uniform," Qi Wentai said.

"Isn’t it none of your business?" Liu Banxia suddenly asked.

"What?" Qi Wentai looked at him with surprise.

"Oh, nothing, I’ll go take a look." Liu Banxia said with a smile.

Beside them, Liu Yiqing breathed a sigh of relief. Does Teacher Liu have eyes that are just too sharp? Luckily, President Qi kept calm under pressure, really amazing. When can I reach that level?

In fact, Qi Wentai was also startled; he really didn’t expect Liu Banxia to "suspect" him. But it turned out he was right, so he just played along.

"What’s the situation?" Liu Banxia asked as he approached the patient.

"It’s just my leg hurts, been like this for a few days. It wasn’t like this at first, but the past few days it’s been quite annoying," the young man said.

"You’re sixteen, and the pain started suddenly?" Liu Banxia continued to ask.

"It can be considered sudden. I was playing football with classmates, got tackled, fell, and it hurt a bit," the patient continued.

"Nothing much after that, but there’s been a dull ache for a few days. They said it’s just growing pains. But these days, I’m also feeling so back pain, and I can’t stand for long periods," he said.

"Alright, let take a look at your leg. You’re pretty bold, coming here with just your classmates and not telling your parents?" Liu Banxia asked.

"Didn’t dare to say, afraid I wouldn’t be allowed to play football anymore," the young man said candidly.

Even Liu Banxia was amused, "Let check if there’s any fracture or bone crack first. It’s important to be cautious when playing football. Fun is important, but safety should co first."

He carefully felt the young man’s bones but didn’t find any abnormality. He tested the young man’s push-off, but there was no increased pain when exerting force.

"Co, lie on the examination bed, let check your back," Liu Banxia said.

The young man quickly lay down obediently, and Liu Banxia began checking his spine.

"No significant abnormality in the lumbar spine, but I suspect your posture during class might be a bit careless, causing slight spinal curvature," Liu Banxia said.

"Go get an X-ray; that’s the standard diagnostic tool. I’m just doing an initial check. Let’s see if there’s anything I might have missed, take X-rays of both the spine and your leg."

"Doctor, is this serious?" the patient asked.

"It’s hard to say now, without a thorough check and a confird diagnosis, I can’t say anything recklessly. But I won’t call your parents unless necessary, you can rest assured about that," Liu Banxia said.

The young man chuckled embarrassedly, truly loving football. High school is a crucial stage, and if his mom found out, playing in the future would be out of the question.

"Teacher Liu, what do you think it might be? Could it just be simple growing pains?" Liu Yiqing asked.

"Give a diagnostic basis," Liu Banxia said.

"Just now, when he pushed off, it didn’t intensify the pain. If it were a fracture or bone crack, there would definitely be a reaction. Also, mild scoliosis would have so impact, but not as strong as this," Liu Yiqing said.

Liu Banxia nodded, "There’s a possibility, but growing pains are usually more evident at night. There’s another situation you need to consider, what do you think?"

"Can’t be, he looks pretty healthy, it can’t be osteosarcoma, right?" Liu Yiqing asked sowhat uncertainly.

"I don’t know either, it requires a slow process of examination." Liu Banxia shrugged his shoulders.

"Even though I was very careful while feeling the bones, and I trust my judgnt, having an X-ray is still necessary. After all, I’m not a bone-feeling authority, the images are the evidence."

"So, it’s just the beginning of the diagnosis, can’t jump to conclusions too soon. Though I’ve snatched the orthopedic’s job a bit here, feeling a bit guilty about it. Right?"

"Uh... Teacher Liu, it’s okay, really," Liu Yiqing said, with a slightly nervous expression on her face.

Liu Banxia laughed, finding it amusing.

Although he wanted to figure out what these people were doing behind his back, he didn’t want to use Liu Yiqing and Su Wenhao as a breakthrough point.

No sense of achievent in it.

Su Wenhao is just an honest kid, and Liu Yiqing is sotis a bit silly. It’s more interesting to break through from others.

Once Liu Banxia left, Liu Yiqing took a deep breath. Only now did she realize why Qi Wentai pulled Liu Banxia out to see this patient and why Liu Banxia asked Qi Wentai that question.

He must have seen Liu Banxia "inquiring" her and Huang Bo in the treatnt room, so he asked him to get busy and stop thinking about random things.

But Teacher Liu’s reaction was too quick, realizing sothing was off, and that’s why he asked Qi Wentai.

Realizing this, she felt a bit frustrated. Although she figured it out, was it a bit too late? The initial diagnosis of the patient was already over by the ti she understood, really remarkable.

"Stay calm, just pretend you know nothing," Xu Yino ca up beside her.

"Nuonuo, it’s so dangerous, I’m afraid Teacher Liu will ask again," Liu Yiqing whispered back.

"Hang in there, there’s not much ti left, it’ll be fine once work is over," Xu Yino comforted.

Actually, she wasn’t very confident herself. But the situation was what it was, and she had to keep holding on.

She sneaked a glance over at Liu Banxia, just in ti to see him smiling at them with a thermos cup in his hand.

Xu Yino was startled, trying hard to convince herself that Teacher Liu was just bluffing. In reality, he surely didn’t know anything.

"By the way, there will be extra dishes tonight, salt and pepper chicken slices and caralized pork, did I ntion that?" Liu Yiqing asked.

Xu Yino looked at her helplessly, "Sis, did you say it or not? Anyway, I just found out."

"Hahaha, I ant to say it. You just kept talking to about sothing else, and I forgot." Liu Yiqing laughed.

"Sigh... in the past, we could use this to argue with the Big Devil. Not now though, I lack the courage, wouldn’t dare to confront him," Xu Yino said.

"I just had a chat with Huang Bo, let’s stick to the story that we’re discussing debrident evaluation. Anyway, there’s not much ti left," she said.

That was the consensus reached, and as a key link, Xu Yino wandered over to soone else.

Her movents were clearly observed by Liu Banxia; battling with the six small ones required figuring out what they were plotting.

After a while, the previous patient returned.

"Done with the scan?" Liu Banxia asked.

"Doctor, the doctor over there said it would take a while to get the film, but they said you could quickly check it on the computer," the patient said.

"Okay, let take a look first." Liu Banxia nodded.

He pulled up the patient’s scans on the computer and examined the leg bones carefully. They were clean, without any signs of growth or other features.

He also checked the spine, which matched his judgnt; there was only so scoliosis, but it wasn’t very pronounced. Normally, this wouldn’t cause pain.

The causes of scoliosis are varied, for example, non-structural scoliosis is often due to posture, unequal leg lengths, and similar factors.

That’s why Liu Banxia initially suggested that the young man’s pain might be caused by poor posture during his growth years. Posture is important.

Structural scoliosis, on the other hand, can be more complex; it might be idiopathic, with no clear cause, congenital, or acquired. Those cases are not easy to handle.

"Your scoliosis seems to be postural because I didn’t see any other signs around your bones. In the future, sit up straight during class, and don’t slump to one side," Liu Banxia advised.

"Doctor, what about my leg pain and back pain?" the patient asked.

"That’s a crucial issue, we’re still looking into it," Liu Banxia replied.

"When you sleep, do you ever wake up suddenly or have your leg jerk suddenly? Or feel fatigued when you wake up?"

The young man thought for a mont, looked at Liu Banxia, and shook his head, "No, I feel fine when I wake up, and don’t really feel pain when asleep."

Liu Banxia frowned slightly, "Think again carefully and see if there are any other symptoms you might have overlooked."

He had noticed so hesitation in the young man’s eyes, which might an he was hiding sothing. It could be related to the symptoms, or not, but it was up to him to judge.

The young man shook his head again.

"Alright then, take a rest here for a bit. I’ll check the film once it cos out, maybe there are things the computer didn’t fully show," Liu Banxia said.

"For now, your spine and leg bones seem fine, I’ll think it over and consider the best way to identify the problem."

The young man nodded, maintaining a positive attitude.

"Li Hao, chat with the young man in a bit, see if there are any other details he forgot to ntion," Liu Banxia instructed.

"It’s best to do it when his classmates aren’t around, or co up with an excuse to have him pick up the film, then talk to him."

"Got it," Li Hao responded.

"Teacher Liu, I noticed earlier, he seed a bit hesitant when talking, not as quick or loud as before," Liu Yiqing said with a smile.

"Keep observing, and you’ll develop your own judgnt. But this really is a bit troubling; there’s no skeletal issue, it might not even be related to playing soccer, maybe it’s just growth pain?" Liu Banxia asked.

"I don’t know, need more tests," Liu Yiqing quickly said.

Liu Banxia chuckled, deciding to wait for Li Hao’s investigation results first.
