Liu Banxia took a turn around the ergency center and, to be honest, these interns are now handling admissions quite competently. At the very least, they no longer have the awkwardness they had when they first started their internship.

Back then, they seed flustered and lacked confidence, making it hard to gain the patients’ trust. Patients were also quite dismissive of them.

It’s not just them; even if the "six juniors" didn’t perform well, patients would remain skeptical.

This is a common mindset among patients who don’t want to be practice cases for interns. After all, if you’re spending money on treatnt, who wouldn’t want an experienced doctor to handle it?

Looking at the current results, Liu Banxia feels quite gratified. Seeing their growth proves they haven’t wasted their ti.

"So, after all this ti pretending to study, have you figured out the debrident and suturing standards?" Liu Banxia approached Xu Yino.

"Teacher Liu, don’t worry. We have it all under control," Xu Yino said nonchalantly.

"Since we ca to the ergency center, we’ve been learning this from you. If we can’t handle these straightforward tasks, it would have been a total waste of our youth," she added.

"Oh, aren’t you confident now? If there’s even the slightest mistake, and soone questions the exam results, tsk tsk, I won’t say much," Liu Banxia said with a teasing smile.

"All good, no problem," Xu Yino replied.

No need to worry about Liu Banxia seeing through anything; Xu Yino was feeling particularly bold.

"Teacher Liu, I have a patient with acute abdominal pain. Ultrasound and CT have confird it’s appendicitis and needs surgical intervention," Miao Rui ca over holding a report.

Liu Banxia took a glance, "Go ahead and take a few interns with you. From now on, for surgeries like appendectomy or cholecystectomy, don’t just think about enjoying it yourself, consider teaching the interns too."

Miao Rui nodded with a smile, "Teacher Liu, aren’t you coming along to oversee it?"

"What for? There’s a slight challenge; you can do it with a small incision. Be careful when you lift it, go on." Liu Banxia directly signed off on it.

His personal surgery permissions had been elevated, and the approval for related surgeries had also increased.

"Director Liu, there’s been a car collision; one of the injured is in serious condition and is being brought in," Qi Wentai called out.

"Have you been briefed on the specifics?" Liu Banxia asked.

"Blood pressure’s not great; they suspect internal bleeding. It was hit from the side, took a hard knock on the steering wheel," Qi Wentai explained.

"We might have to operate soon, so prepare an OR," Liu Banxia nodded.

"We might need to prepare two; there are two critically injured. You take the most serious one, let Dr. Shi handle the second, and if the third needs surgery, I’ll take over," Qi Wentai said.

"OK, let’s do this. Everybody, get moving; two critical cases, I’ll handle the first, Li Hao will follow ," Liu Banxia shouted.

Actually, he didn’t need to arrange it; he just wanted to stir the enthusiasm for the night shift ergency admissions.

Usually, at this hour, he’d be whispering to Qiaoqiao or teasing Beifeng.

In less than a quarter of an hour, the ambulance was parked outside the ergency center.

"Male patient, blood pressure 60/90, heart rate 110, unconscious. Abdominal blunt trauma, left leg crushed injury, slight abdominal distension," reported the paradic pushing the patient down.

"To Resuscitation Room One, have you contacted the family?" Liu Banxia asked.

"No, the second injured person seems to be his wife, also unconscious, and the phone we found can’t be unlocked," the paradic replied.

"A bit of trouble. Okay, one, two, three, transfer to the bed," Liu Banxia directed.

"Open another IV line, initiate rapid blood transfusion and quick blood tests. Connect the ECG monitor, portable ultrasound, Li Hao check the left leg, I’ll do the auscultation."

Following Liu Banxia’s orders, the people in the resuscitation room sprang into action.

"Teacher Liu, blood pressure 60/90, blood oxygen 90," Xu Zhenkai reported quickly after hooking up the ECG.

"There’s quite a bit of fluid in the right upper quadrant, and the blood pressure isn’t rising with transfusion. Move to the OR, liver laceration. How about the leg?" Liu Banxia said, looking at the ultrasound image.

"The leg injury isn’t severe, likely no bone damage, just a muscle crush injury, circulation is normal," Li Hao quickly responded.

"The leg is too swollen for to feel anything. Get an X-ray, then send him directly to the OR. Inform the lab, blood tests need to be fast," Liu Banxia instructed.

After speaking, he removed his gloves and walked out.

One also needs to be aware of other situations; he’s not just an ordinary doctor anymore—he’s sowhat of a leader now.

"Dr. Shi and Liu Yiqing are handling the second patient, and the third injured isn’t too severe; Xu Yino and Su Wenhao are handling it," Qi Wentai said as he saw him co out.

"Then join for this surgery; the liver laceration is significant, still bleeding heavily. Also, have the police contact the family as soon as possible, we don’t know the situation yet," Liu Banxia said.

"Alright, you head to the operating room first, I’ll make the arrangents," said Qi Wentai.

He was sowhat excited. This was a learning opportunity for him, not just learning about ergency procedures but also liver surgery.

Being the chief resident certainly has its benefits, allowing him to hone his response skills and quick triage abilities. But it has a minor downside, the number of surgeries is clearly reduced.

As for now, he indeed needs to study more high-level surgeries. Otherwise, at this rate, being surpassed by the six juniors is just a matter of ti.

"Ah, Doctor Xu, we’re working together today, that’s great. But this patient is quite challenging, no information available yet, still waiting for blood test results," said Liu Banxia upon entering the operating room and seeing anesthesiologist Xu Jie on the platform.

"Director Liu, please don’t put too much pressure on . Compared to Doctor Wang and Doctor Li, my experience is still lacking," Xu Jie said.

"The patient’s blood pressure is too low, the bleeding should be severe. There’s a liver laceration, can’t see the spleen clearly, try to raise the blood pressure as much as you can," Liu Banxia said.

"Okay, that gives so confidence. Another patient is also in preparation for surgery, but not as severe," Xu Jie replied.

"Open fracture of the right arm, head laceration, cervical spine dislocation. Need to check the head CT results, are they a couple? It’s quite distressing," Xu Jie said.

"Seems like it, they were in the sa car. Wrecked like this, the car accident must have been significant," Liu Banxia said.

At this point, the patient was wheeled in.

"Blood oxygen dropped again downstairs, intubation was done imdiately. No problem found in the left leg, blood pressure still hasn’t risen, blood test results will be transmitted directly soon," said Qi Wentai while dressing.

"Alright, vital signs are in the hands of Doctor Xu. I’ll take lead, President Qi first assist, Li Hao second assist. Speed up suction after opening the abdon, prepare gauze. If the bleeding is too much and the blood pressure doesn’t rise, we’ll have to tamponade for hemostasis first," Liu Banxia said.

Upon hearing this, the atmosphere in the operating room beca much more solemn. Because tamponade hemostasis is a last resort, hoping the pressure from tamponade can effectively control the bleeding.

If it cos to this, it ans the bleeding points are too nurous, even with Liu Banxia’s speed, he can’t ensure hemostasis while maintaining the patient’s vital signs.

"OK, anesthesia successful," Xu Jie announced after administering anesthesia.

"Midline abdominal incision, prepare to suction," Liu Banxia said.

As the abdon was opened, fresh blood mixed with clots gushed out, the monitor sounded an alarm, and the blood pressure dropped again.

"Hang another bag, no problem with the spleen, liver... Grade three to four laceration, right kidney laceration. Gauze tamponade for hemostasis, bleeding is too severe," said Liu Banxia after inserting his hand into the patient’s abdon for exploration.

There was no ti to lose, everyone began to operate together.

Xu Jie admired the situation in his heart, it was much like Liu Banxia’s assessnt. Moreover, the exploration just now can be considered a skill, confirming the situation in the abdominal cavity just by hand without surgical field.

It might be exaggerated to say, Liu Banxia’s hand seed to have eyes.

Since coming to the ergency center, it’s necessary to understand the leading figures in the ergency center. There are many legends about Liu Banxia, the most famous being hand hemostasis.

In terms of hemostasis, the entire ergency center, including Zhou Shuwen, a certified director and deputy chief director, may not be as fast as Liu Banxia.

Though Liu Banxia is still young, he truly has skill.

After receiving a patient, he can make early predictions with high accuracy. Upon opening the abdon, he investigates the patient’s injuries under incredibly challenging conditions, which is remarkable.

"Teacher Liu, tamponade is complete, no change in patient’s blood pressure, 50/70, heart rate 130," Li Hao called out.

"Let’s observe for a bit," Liu Banxia said with a frown.

They had reached the maximum rate of blood and fluid transfusion, if the patient’s bleeding isn’t reduced, it would truly be dangerous.

"Blood pressure improved, 60/90, heart rate 110, it’s working," Xu Jie shouted after more than two minutes.

"Co on, everyone, take this opportunity to move around a bit, another tough battle lies ahead," Liu Banxia said.

"After controlling the bleeding, liver and kidney lacerations need treatnt, the kidney wound doesn’t seem particularly large, try repairing."

"Otherwise, in this situation, even sending to ICU would result in kidney failure, liver failure, wouldn’t help. Busy with this, I’m covered in sweat."

"There’s still a chance for rescue, sweat wasn’t wasted. Teacher Liu, should we handle it together or separately?" Li Hao inquired.

"Handle them separately, otherwise I’m worried there’ll be major bleeding again. When taking out the gauze later, press on the gauze over the liver," Liu Banxia instructed.

"Okay," Li Hao promptly replied.

It was known that the recent rescue was rely a minor part of the ergency, the key operations are coming.
