"Brother Zhang, how is the patient we admitted last night doing?"
Early the next morning, Liu Banxia arrived at the ICU.
"Looks okay for now. Let’s wait a bit. We’ll do a coagulation test in the afternoon," said Zhang Zhiyuan.
"As for dication, continue with dexathasone for another day and see if it gets better. The primary task right now is to stop the bleeding; we need to close up the abdon."
"Are there not too many patients in the ICU recently?" Liu Banxia asked.
"That’s on our side; the CCU has started adding beds," Zhang Zhiyuan replied.
"The intake at our ergency center is much larger than before. It’s okay for now, but when patient numbers increase in the future, you must make good judgnts and avoid sending more patients if possible."

"We’ll do our best, but I can’t promise that," Liu Banxia said with a bitter smile.
"Alright, I’m heading downstairs. Let know if anything cos up. I didn’t really rest well last night; getting older and can’t handle it anymore."
Zhang Zhiyuan looked at him helplessly. The most energetic person in the entire ergency center was now saying he couldn’t handle it. Being on call is much easier compared to performing surgeries, right?
Actually, he didn’t know that what Liu Banxia said this ti wasn’t a joke; he really was feeling a bit exhausted.
Usually, he could handle surgeries by relying on his stamina, but this ti the system upgrade took a bit long, and it’s still updating.

Just as Liu Banxia stepped out of the ICU, the patient’s wife stopped him.

"This is a hospital; questioning the hospital about overcharging can’t possibly lead to anything good. It’s like being in a restaurant, finding a hair in your food. You return it, end of story. Don’t think you caught them on anything."
"Even if they re-cook and give you the whole dish, would you still eat it? Who knows what new ’spices’ they might have added. It’s important to listen carefully and control your actions."
The patient’s wife nodded, "Doctor, please don’t take it to heart. I was completely caught off guard at the ti. It wasn’t until later that I realized how urgent the situation was last night."
"It’s alright, we’re all used to it here. As long as nothing physical happened, that’s all that matters," replied Liu Banxia.
"I just checked, the recovery seems to be going well. The treatnt for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura has shown so effect. If nothing unexpected happens, we can close up the abdon and wake the patient this afternoon."
"We’ll call you when it’s done. The fact that we haven’t issued a critical condition notice ans recovery is pretty good, so try not to worry too much."
The patient’s wife nodded, thanking Liu Banxia once again.
Her thanks were genuine, just as she said, she was caught off guard. It wasn’t until later that she realized how critical her husband’s condition was.

"Li Liwei said I should start doing NOSES surgeries and that there might be more of them in the future, so it’s best to assemble an OR team. What do you think?"
"Isn’t that quite normal? The instrunts for this surgery are different from conventional open or laparoscopic surgeries. Having a well-coordinated team would make the operations a lot easier."
"After all, it’s not just about you being fast, others need to keep up too. You should really get a move on; the earlier you cultivate a team, the less caught off guard you’ll be when you need it."
Liu Banxia nodded, "Alright, shout if you need , I’m going to find Xu Dan for a chat. If she’s interested, I’ll choose her."
"Okay, go ahead." Wei Yuan nodded.
He felt a bit envious, but it was just envy, that’s all—he couldn’t reach that level yet. Especially when it cos to so TEM surgical operations, they’re too demanding.
Actually, Liu Banxia was feeling a bit troubled now.
Deep down, he was eager for the system upgrade but was also worried that it wouldn’t be powerful enough. This mix of emotions had left him feeling a bit scattered.
"Hey, Director Liu, you’re a rare guest." Liu i greeted with a smile as she approached outside the lounge.
"Looking for Xu Dan, has she gone into the operating room?" Liu Banxia asked.
"Not yet, I’ll call her. Dandan, Director Liu is looking for you, co out quickly, stop snacking." Liu i called out.
Xu Dan rushed out hurriedly, food crumbs still lingering at the corner of her mouth.
"This one, didn’t eat breakfast? Do you have any surgery scheduled later?" Liu Banxia asked.
Xu Dan shook her head in confusion.
"That’s great, perfect timing to discuss sothing with you." Liu Banxia said.
"What’s up?" Xu Dan asked curiously.
"Have you ever thought about expanding your scope of work?" Liu Banxia asked.
Xu Dan looked even more confused, not understanding what Liu Banxia ant at all.
"Simply put, I plan on finding an instrunt nurse who can collaborate with in the NOSES surgical system." Liu Banxia said.
"NOSES is a general term for a surgical system, covering a variety of procedures. So procedures use instrunts that are sowhat different from our usual ones."
"So if you’re interested, you’d need to strengthen your skills in this area. Then, whenever I’m in surgery, you’ll be my first choice as the instrunt nurse."
"Dr. Liu, I still don’t quite understand." Xu Dan furrowed her brows and pondered, still looking baffled.
"In this aspect, you’re way behind Yueyue; that girl’s a real scher." Liu Banxia quipped.
Xu Dan nodded in agreent, "She often makes cover for her when deceiving my aunt."
"Let’s not talk about her now. It’s actually quite similar to your usual work; when there’s surgery, you’ll be in the operating room too. But when tasks are allocated, you’ll be prioritized for my operating room." Liu Banxia said.
"Also, because so of my surgeries now require unconventional instrunts, you’ll need to familiarize yourself with them, which will increase your current workload."
"The NOSES system has just been launched, and even I’m slowly figuring it out. We can’t predict now how often it will be used; we’ll have to see in the future."
"Oh, I see, it’s fine with , anything goes." Xu Dan readily said.

"Alright, I’ll check it out later. But I’m not troubled, I’m working." Liu Banxia said.
Regarding whether he was troubled, Xu Yino decided not to argue with him.
Having followed him for this long, doesn’t she know his ntal state? If not, how could she spar with him?
If you engage him when he’s in a foul mood, aren’t you essentially courting disaster? Seriously asking for it.
