Everyone reacts differently when they feel soone’s gaze, and the sa went for the young woman who ca for a bone adjustnt.
At first, she instinctively felt that Liu Banxia’s gaze was uncomfortably intense and hid behind Qiaoqiao, only to realize that Liu Banxia was staring at the mole on her body.
She noticed Liu Banxia tilting his head; Even the most shaless person wouldn’t behave like this, she thought.
However, even though she figured out Liu Banxia’s focus had shifted, she was still quite angry. According to her boyfriend, this mole was "sensual" read backward—aning "sexy"—and it added a certain charm when they were together. It could also be called a unique "beauty spot."
This mole was usually hidden. Today, however, because Wang Xiaoyan and Qiaoqiao were helping her with her bone adjustnt, her sports vest had ridden up a bit, exposing the mole that people wouldn’t normally see.
"What’s wrong with you guys?" Liu Banxia, slow on the uptake, asked a rather idiotic question.
Qiaoqiao instantly flared up. "What’s wrong with us? What are you ogling Jiaojiao for, you pervert?"
Qiaoqiao’s voice was loud, enough for everyone outside the treatnt room to hear. This imdiately caused a stir. Zhou Li hurried over from the triage desk. Others looked surprised. This accusation against Shoutian seed a bit much.
Only Qi Wentai was stunned for a mont, then a pleased smile appeared on his face. How gratifying, he thought, that a patient had finally seen Liu Banxia’s true colors.
"Pervert? What pervert? You’re just spouting nonsense! It was all for nothing that I helped you with Tang Dou! Am I that kind of person? You’ve been here, Yanzi’s been here. Aren’t you both beautiful? Was I a pervert with you?" Liu Banxia argued firmly.
His smooth coback left Qiaoqiao speechless.
That was true, she thought. She and Yanzi were both attractive, and he’d always been professional when treating them. He’d even lent Yanzi his white coat last ti. If he were really a pervert, wouldn’t he have stared his fill back then?
Liu Banxia pulled Qiaoqiao aside. "Are you Jiaojiao? Have you had that mole since birth? Has it changed at all recently?"
"What’s happening? What’s the matter?" Zhou Li also rushed over at this point.
"Sister Li, it’s nothing. Just treating a patient. A small misunderstanding," Liu Banxia said, glaring at Qiaoqiao.
Zhou Li looked helpless. She couldn’t just leave now. If this escalated, Shoutian would be in serious trouble.
Hearing his questions, the young woman nad Jiaojiao hesitated. This was a sowhat intimate matter, and the location was rather embarrassing.
"You aren’t just tricking us, are you? Is this just an excuse you ca up with?" Qiaoqiao spoke again.
Liu Banxia felt annoyed. He pressed Qiaoqiao’s shoulders, making her sit on the hospital bed to stop her from causing more trouble, then turned his attention back to Jiaojiao. "Every person has moles. Most are harmless, but so are quite particular."
"I only glanced at it, so I didn’t see it very clearly. But I noticed that its borders are sowhat irregular. It’s also not small—definitely over 0.5 centiters—and its color isn’t uniform."
"If you don’t believe , try to think back. Has this mole changed at all compared to before? Or have you felt anything unusual with it recently, like pain or itching?"
Jiaojiao shook her head, looking bewildered. "I haven’t paid attention to it, and I haven’t felt anything different."
"Are you sure you were really looking at her mole?" Qiaoqiao asked, still sowhat skeptical.
"You! What are you good for besides causing trouble?" Liu Banxia said helplessly.
"Uh, Jiaojiao, if he’s really looking at the mole, just let him see it," Qiaoqiao said. "The first ti Yanzi ca, he spotted cancer in a child just by looking."
Is that supposed to be a complint? Liu Banxia wondered, unsure whether to laugh or cry.
"Doctor, are you saying that I have cancer?" Jiaojiao was startled.
"Just ignore her babbling. Let take a look first," Liu Banxia said.
Although Jiaojiao was hesitant, Qiaoqiao’s words had frightened her. Now that she thought about it, the mole did seem like it might have gotten bigger.
Actually, this was purely her imagination, as she didn’t usually pay close attention to it.
She lifted her sports vest slightly, fully exposing the mole. Liu Banxia scrutinized it for a mont.
"Your mole not only has irregular borders and uneven pigntation, but the upper part is also raised. After you buy the back brace, go to Dermatology for a check-up. I hope I’m just being overly cautious."
"Moles are common, but we can’t underestimate them. Any changes in color, size, or shape should be a cause for concern."
Hearing this, Jiaojiao, Wang Xiaoyan, and Qiaoqiao were all stunned. This ant the mole was a real problem; he wasn’t joking.
"Don’t worry too much," Liu Banxia continued. "The worst-case scenario is stage one or two. There don’t seem to be any signs of infiltration or ulceration yet, which ans it’s likely in the early stages."
"You know that movie star from Hong Kong? The one who’s almost as handso as ? He only found out when he shaved his head for a movie. His condition was definitely more serious than yours. Yours is nothing compared to that, so don’t worry."
"Are you talking about Nicholas Tse?" Qiaoqiao asked curiously.
"Does your mind always work in such a simple and direct way? The issue here isn’t his na. The most important things are that I’m more handso than him, and Jiaojiao shouldn’t worry too much," Liu Banxia said earnestly.
With that, he took off his white coat and handed it to Wang Xiaoyan. "Here, put this on. We don’t want any more misunderstandings. Otherwise, our Second Hospital will suddenly have a lot more ’perverts’ on staff."
"Oh, honestly! Why are you so petty? When are you free? Let treat you to a al, okay?" Qiaoqiao said, exasperated.
She could clearly hear the teasing in Liu Banxia’s tone. Now that it was all cleared up, she genuinely felt bad for misunderstanding him.
"Want to treat to a al? You’ll have to get in line," Liu Banxia said, already walking away. "Go get it checked at Dermatology. Don’t worry, it’s probably nothing serious."
"Yanzi, what did he an by that? Why would I have to get in line? If he doesn’t want to accept, he could just say so directly," Qiaoqiao muttered, frowning.
"Oh, you," Wang Xiaoyan said helplessly. "Don’t overthink it. Let’s get Jiaojiao to Dermatology first."
She also felt a bit sheepish. After all, she’d initially thought the sa thing and felt she’d wronged Liu Banxia.
Liu Banxia, who had just walked out, was also a bit frustrated.
He’d been so focused on the system’s mission that he’d forgotten the usual precautions when examining a female patient. While the ’pervert’ accusation was unfair, he couldn’t entirely bla Qiaoqiao for it.
