"Dr. Liu, are you worried about sothing?" Xu Chengjun asked curiously after picking up Liu Banxia.

"A little bit, but don’t worry. It won’t affect today’s surgery," Liu Banxia said.

"I believe in you. I thought you guys would be too busy with the Ergency Center to help out here," Xu Chengjun said.

"Chief Director Xu, that might be the case in the future. Yesterday was only the second day, and the number of patients seeking treatnt voluntarily has already increased. We’ve also handled so ergency cases dispatched to us, and the workload is gradually intensifying," Liu Banxia said.

"By October, we should be running at full capacity. The current workload at the municipal hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital in Binhai City is too high, so we need to help them share so of the burden."

"Hahaha, I believe that. Especially with Director Zhou, you, and Shi Lei assisting at the Ergency Center, we don’t need to worry about patient numbers," Xu Chengjun said with a laugh.

"Once we’ve been operating for a while and have established a good reputation, we’ll have even more patients. In the future, we’ll also start receiving referral patients. That’s when things will get truly busy."

"Your center isn’t just a simple ergency departnt. Even though we don’t have an accreditation yet, I expect we’ll participate in the accreditation process a year from now when we have more experience. Things will be different then."

"Hehe, thanks for the good wishes. I was wondering, why did the patient with the liver cyst decide to have the surgery here in the district?" Liu Banxia asked.

"It’s all about money; going to Binhai City is too expensive. It’s not that they didn’t want to go, but the waiting list was too long. In the end, they agreed when I suggested it," Xu Chengjun said.

Liu Banxia nodded. "It seems like most cases are similar. Old Qin hasn’t been back to cause trouble, has he?"

"No, but I heard that Old Qin paid a lot in compensation last ti. He was just unlucky; if he’d been a bit more careful, it would’ve been fine," Xu Chengjun said casually.

"Did he really pay compensation? Did that family actually go after him?" Liu Banxia asked in surprise.

"They dared to make a scene in the hospital; do you think they’d leave without getting their fill?" Xu Chengjun retorted.

"Besides, I heard about that incident. Old Qin himself had areas where he wasn’t rigorous enough. If they had really sued, the outco would have been the sa."

"Settling it early was the cleaner way. If it had dragged on, he would have ended up disgraced; even if he could have paid a bit less compensation, it wouldn’t have looked good. This outco is fine, and we all need to learn a lesson from this."

"Absolutely," Liu Banxia said. "I’ve already told everyone in our ergency departnt to be extrely careful, even if it’s relatives or friends asking for a diagnosis via WeChat or similar platforms. One oversight could jeopardize your entire career."

"Actually, so people from the neighborhood where I used to rent added on WeChat for consultations. I always insisted they co for an examination. Since they are elderly, it’s even harder for to give a diagnosis without a proper examination."

ntioning this matter made him sigh. Even though his relationship with Old Qin wasn’t good, he still felt a bit lancholic about it.

He hadn’t seen the detailed WeChat conversation, but he believed Old Qin definitely hadn’t seen photos of the rash. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have blindly diagnosed it as urticaria without considering other possibilities.

The symptoms were too different; it wasn’t an easy mistake to make. Even though Old Qin was sowhat of a scoundrel and his conduct wasn’t great, his dical skills were still solid.

This ti, Old Qin was unlucky. Next ti, it could be him. In these types of cases, the fault often lies with the doctor.

Even if the patient describes their symptoms inaccurately and you make a judgnt based on that, the fault is still largely yours, depending on the proportion of bla.

Because you’re a doctor; you have professional knowledge. If the patient’s explanation isn’t complete, why don’t you ask more questions? Patients might not provide a comprehensive description even during an in-person consultation, let alone one via WeChat.

「After so idle chatter, they arrived at Jinshui District Hospital.」

After greeting everyone, Liu Banxia picked up the case files for the surgeries he would be performing today.

Jinshui District Hospital had been performing comprehensive examinations after two minor incidents. Two patients with appendicitis required routine surgery, done through a small incision. The patient with cholecystitis was a bit more complicated, having gallstones; the procedure would be slightly more troubleso.

The most serious case was the patient with the liver cyst, which had developed adhesions. It was discovered during a laparoscopic exploration, and Liu Banxia had carefully reviewed the report from the exploration.

"Chief Director Xu, if the operating room can be arranged, could you help schedule all of them?" Liu Banxia asked.

"This patient with the liver cyst and adhesions is sowhat severe. It will likely take about five and a half to six hours to deal with."

"No problem, our entire hospital will be at your service today," Xu Chengjun readily agreed.

"Well then, I won’t be polite. You can arrange the others. How about starting in twenty minutes? The first three operations will take about an hour and a half, then we can move directly to the liver surgery," Liu Banxia said.

Even Xu Chengjun was taken aback. Three surgeries in an hour and a half? Wasn’t that a bit too tight, even if they excluded the ti for patient preparation and scheduling?

"Two appendectomies. I can finish each one, including suturing, in about fifteen minutes. Add another fifteen minutes for scrubbing in between, and that’s forty-five minutes."

"Forty-five minutes should also be sufficient for the cholecystectomy. I once removed a gallbladder with many adhesions and so pus in about the sa amount of ti. However, we need to anesthetize the patient beforehand; otherwise, waiting for anesthesia would be a waste of ti."

"Alright, let’s do it your way today. Anesthesia will be administered to the second appendectomy patient in advance," Xu Chengjun nodded firmly.

Liu Banxia’s words sounded arrogant at first, but after he broke down the tiline, it didn’t seem so outlandish. Liu Banxia’s hands were indeed fast. As long as the first assistant today could keep up, there really shouldn’t be a problem.

There was a reason Liu Banxia wanted to rush through the first three surgeries. This liver cyst removal was the first one he’d be performing outside his own hospital. Without Zhou Shuwen and Shi Lei there to back him up, he had to be even more cautious.

As for Liu Banxia, the doctors at Jinshui District Hospital had co to understand him quite well. He had visited more than once or twice, and each ti his performance was stunning.

When they heard he was going to pick up the pace today, many beca even more interested. Indeed, it seed he had been holding back his true abilities before; now he was showing his real skills.

Jinshui District Hospital already had a teaching collaboration with his hospital. This ti, Liu Banxia hadn’t brought any assistants, which was a great convenience for Jinshui District Hospital.

Liu Banxia truly did not disappoint them today; he went all out. Eliminating the wait ti for anesthesia really saved a lot of ti.

The first surgery took 13 minutes; the second surgery took 14 minutes and 17 seconds. These were the two appendectomies.

The third surgery, the cholecystectomy, was slightly more complex and used a laparoscope. However, it didn’t take long: 27 minutes and 37 seconds, much shorter than his estimated ti.

After these three surgeries, Liu Banxia gained 400 experience points, 300 proficiency points in Diagnosis, 220 in Dressing Change Skill, 120 in Suturing Skill, 400 in Appendectomy Skill, and 300 in Cholecystectomy Skill.

He hadn’t expected such results himself. Thinking back, he had to thank that patient nad Li Xue.

That patient had extensive abdominal adhesions with a gelatinous substance. After performing that surgery, his experience in handling adhesions had increased significantly.

Unfortunately, he didn’t receive any Glory Points or a rating for these. It was becoming difficult to obtain them from such routine, low-level surgeries.

"I’m truly impressed. Your hands move as if they could fly," Xu Chengjun remarked with emotion.

"Actually, my hands have been itching for so action lately. There are many doctors in the Ergency Center now, so surgeries have to be done in rotation. I can’t just hog all of them," Liu Banxia said with a smile.

"The gallbladder from that last patient had quite a lot of gallstones. When we cut it open, there was hardly any space left inside. The gallbladder wall also seed to have so signs of calcification. We need to be ticulous during the pathological examination."

Xu Chengjun nodded. "I noticed that too. Let’s hope it hasn’t turned cancerous. So patients often delay coming to the hospital until the very last mont, when they can’t put it off any longer."

"I previously had a patient diagnosed with rectal cancer," Liu Banxia shared. "He wanted a hospital that could guarantee a sphincter-preserving surgery, so he delayed treatnt for two months. By then, he had ended up with widespread adhesions in his abdominal cavity."

"It took Shi Lei and a long ti to clean them up, but eventually, the patient didn’t pull through. My speed in handling adhesions today is all thanks to that experience."

"My friends used to joke that wherever I go, a whole bunch of people get sick. I tell them it can’t be helped; as doctors, we can spot symptoms that many people overlook."

"Isn’t that just the way it is?" Xu Chengjun said with feeling. "Nowadays, unless it’s sothing particularly serious I see, I don’t even like to bring it up. The mont you say sothing, their first reaction is to think you’re trying to get their money."

"This next patient is sowhat similar, I suppose. He already has hepatitis and didn’t take the gallstones seriously. With irritation from both conditions, he developed a cyst."

「Chatting as they walked, they soon arrived at the operating room.」

This patient didn’t need to be anesthetized in advance; general anesthesia takes effect quickly.

This surgery, Liu Banxia perford with much more caution. It wasn’t as effortless as the appendectomies and cholecystectomies before.

Nevertheless, the people at Jinshui District Hospital found it exciting to watch. They had to admire him. Despite Liu Banxia’s youth, his skills were truly top-notch.

They also perford such surgeries on patients, but the difference in skill compared to Liu Banxia was truly significant.

DING! Surgery complete.

Gained 400 experience points, 100 proficiency points in Diagnosis, 200 in Suturing Skill, 200 in Dressing Change Skill, 600 in Liver Surgery Skill, 3 Glory Points.

This surgery was rated as Perfect. Awarded 500 experience points, 200 proficiency in Diagnosis, 250 in Suturing Skill, 250 in Dressing Change Skill, 1,000 in Liver Surgery Skill, and 10 Glory Points.

Looking at the system rewards, Liu Banxia felt quite emotional. He was indeed still in the league of ’fighting monsters above his level’; otherwise, the system wouldn’t be so generous.

He rolled his neck and glanced at the operation tir: 5 hours and 27 minutes. Not bad. The ti saved would be enough for a good al.
