"Teacher Liu, what's your opinion about this Doctor Xu? I've done so research, and he seems to be quite competent," Xu Yino continued to speak on their way back.

"You really should stop worrying about these things. Neither of us should be stirring up trouble. In the end, it all cos down to the competition at the top," Liu Banxia replied with a chuckle.

"Co on, how can I not worry? If our teacher becos the deputy director, and his ntor becos the chief director or deputy hospital director, wouldn't that be amazing?" Xu Yino said with a grin.

"Are you still concerned about that? Regardless of whether I'm a deputy director or not, I'm still your teacher. After you officially join the hospital, you should be prepared for so hardship," Liu Banxia said.

"It's not like you will just be resident doctors and believe that you can leave everything to the attending doctors and follow their orders."

"In our Ergency Center, such thoughts shouldn't exist. We are essentially fast-tracking your developnt by giving you responsibilities beyond your current level, which can help you gain experience quickly."

"Anyway, just do your best. The future may be slightly challenging, but it's undoubtedly worth it. The amount of knowledge you can master is significantly more than in other places."

"As for when you will receive your attending physician's contract, I don't care. I'm only giving you a year. After that, you must possess the skills of a regular attending physician."

"Teacher Liu, why are you so harsh? Can we survive those days?" Xu Yino asked with a grimace.

"Why wouldn't you be able to? Female doctors are expected to work like male doctors, and male doctors are treated like beasts of burden. This is the tradition of our Ergency Center," Liu Banxia said seriously.

"Don't worry. Although it may be tiring on workdays, we will not infringe on your rest ti. We have the highest number of general surgeons, so feel free to rest when it's ti."

"The current triage system can be thoroughly implented, and our Ergency Center has ample surgeons. With robust departnts, it won't be as exhausting."

Xu Yino nodded. It was true that for a special departnt like the Ergency Center, a higher proportion of surgeons was normal. Many trauma patients were admitted, and a shortage of surgeons was unacceptable. But advantages were one thing; having Liu Banxia, the taskmaster, around ant high standards for both patient admissions and surgical volu. That was the real headache. Who else could sweep through surgeries like him? It seed there wasn't a single general surgery procedure he couldn't perform.

"Dr. Liu, you're back just in ti. We're preparing to admit four car accident patients. The driver fell unconscious, causing the accident. The injuries of the other three aren't severe," a duty nurse announced as they walked back into the lobby.

"Excellent. Four patients, four interns, get ready!" Liu Banxia called out.

Hearing his command, the four of them quickly began to prepare. Car accidents... often, so-called minor injuries weren't necessarily minor. And frequently, patients might have underlying issues like cervical spine injuries or cerebral hemorrhages.

"Teacher Liu, latest update: the unconscious patient is suspected of having a cerebral infarction," the duty nurse shouted again.

Liu Banxia frowned. "Can you call a neurologist for ? They are the experts." He already anticipated that a cerebral infarction might have triggered this accident.

"President Liu, cerebral infarction?" Zhang Ping rushed over.

"Likely. The paradics called. After the consultation, you and Xu Yino can take over," Liu Banxia replied.

"Alright. We've had more cerebral infarctions recently after getting through the busy New Year period. I encountered three just last night," Zhang Ping comnted.

"The New Year and cold weather are peak tis. Although people take care of their health these days, most tend to slack off," Liu Banxia said. "Alright, we can already hear the sirens. There are four patients. Dr. Zhang has already claid one, so I won't need to distribute the remaining three to you, will I?"

"Don't worry, Teacher Liu," Liu Yiqing replied.

"Qing Kewa, you'll be on standby. Make this last shift of your rotation count," Liu Banxia ordered.

"Yes, Dr. Liu," Qing Kewa agreed eagerly. The exchange study period was about to end, and this period had been quite wonderful. She anticipated that the days of hanging out with Qiaoqiao after it finished would be even more wonderful.

At that mont, the ambulance stopped, and the paradics began to bring the patients out.

"The patient's vital signs are stable for now, but the blood pressure is a bit high. The patient woke up in the ambulance and expressed numbness in the right side of his body. He was diagnosed as having a cerebral infarction. He reported chest pain symptoms before the attack," the paradic reported.

"Follow . Take a complete blood count, biochemical test, and an echocardiogram. After the initial examination, schedule an ergency MRI," Zhang Ping said.

"Vital signs stable. Co-driver's seat, head laceration," the paradic from the second ambulance reported.

"Follow to the examination bed," Liu Yiqing said, taking the patient.

Two patients erged from the third vehicle, both with neck braces on.

"The driver and passenger from the previous car suffer from pain when turning their necks. They are suspected of having damaged cervical vertebrae. They have symptoms of dizziness, no external injuries, with stable vital signs," explained the paradic.

Miao Rui and Su Wenhao took over these two cases.

The whole process went smoothly. Liu Banxia also paid close attention to the expressions on the interns' faces; they all maintained their poise, which was a good sign. This suggested that through the many admissions they'd handled, they had truly developed.

"Pretty happy about it, huh?" Zhou Li asked with a smile.

"Indeed, I cannot help but be happy. To see the fruit of one year's hard work... Anyway, you wouldn't co down here, amidst this busy period, if you weren't looking for , right?" Liu Banxia asked.

"Yes, I am. How long will your patient with ovarian torsion need to stay alone?" Zhou Li asked.

"What's the matter? Are hospital beds in short supply?" Liu Banxia inquired.

"It's manageable for now. Still, we need to be more cautious. Lately, the number of female patients has increased. Unlike before, many of them are undergoing major surgeries, and the turnover of hospital beds has decreased significantly," Zhou Li explained.

Liu Banxia nodded. "Okay, I understand. Give her two more days. Her case is unusual, and we still don't know if the police will require further investigations."

"Alright then. If there is indeed a need for it, I will let you know. Her condition isn't too severe; she is recovering pretty well. Speaking of which, how is Qiaoqiao doing lately?" Zhou Li said.

"She's doing quite well. She's taking it very seriously and has already started prenatal care," Liu Banxia said with a chuckle.

"You should pay more attention to her at this ti. I never thought she would beat to it, oh... it does worry ." Zhou Li sighed.

Liu Banxia couldn't offer any advice on this matter. Zhou Li had chosen to delay having a baby for her career, and perhaps she was regretting it now. If their relationship were ordinary, it would be simple; so comforting words would suffice. But they were truly good friends, practically family, and such reassurances felt like empty platitudes.

The interns also had attending physicians supervising their cases, so Liu Banxia didn't need to worry much. The managent of these patients was relatively straightforward; only the first case was a bit more complex. The others just needed an initial examination followed by a CT scan.

"President Liu, there seems to be a problem with that patient's cardiac function. The heart sounds are not very good. We should have a cardiologist check it later on. The cerebral infarction isn't very severe; anticoagulation and thrombolysis can solve it," Zhang Ping said as he approached.

"How old is he? Looks to be in his early thirties?" Liu Banxia asked.

"Thirty-two. He felt chest tightness yesterday, but he didn't pay any attention to it. That's why I adjusted the plan a bit. Let's proceed with the cardiac ultrasound first and then go with the MRI of the head," Zhang Ping responded.

Liu Banxia nodded in agreent. Considering the situation, he would have made the sa judgnt. Perhaps the patient's heart issue is much more severe than the cerebral infarction. Any painful symptom should not be ignored, especially chest pain, as it usually indicates a heart problem.

"Dr. Liu, we've finished setting up now. You can put us into the consultation program," Xu Qixin said as he walked over.

"No problem. As plastic surgery is a new departnt, there may be fewer patients in the short term, and most would probably need tension-reducing sutures," Liu Banxia comnted.

"This would perfectly allow for so downti. Previously, it's been nothing but non-stop work," said Xu Qixin.

"I suspect you won't be relaxed for long. Your reputation is quite huge. Once you start consulting cases, word of your work will spread," Liu Banxia stated. "To be honest, when I was studying dicine, I always dread of becoming a plastic surgeon. Unfortunately, I didn't get that chance and stayed in general surgery instead."

"You can still make changes now. Compared to general surgery, our plastic surgery departnt is relatively relaxed," Xu Qixin suggested. "One more thing, do we need to accept ergency cases in the Plastic Surgery Departnt? I'd make arrangents if needed."

Liu Banxia shook his head. "No need for now. We have plenty of surgeons in the ergency center. Just focus on helping us make money. Leave the rough work to us. If we can't keep up at so point, we will call for help."

"Alright then, you go ahead; I'll familiarize myself with the environnt here," Xu Qixin nodded.

This was their first conversation, and it went quite harmoniously. Liu Banxia felt that Xu Qixin's temperant seed agreeable. Of course, this was only their first encounter; neither would reveal their true thoughts completely.

"Teacher Liu, Teacher Liu, we're in big trouble now!"

At that mont, Xu Yino ran over, holding the cardiac ultrasound report of a patient in her hand.

Liu Banxia took it and his expression turned serious after a quick glance.

Indeed, it was quite troubleso. This was the report for that severe traffic accident patient; it showed a large myxoma in his heart. No wonder he'd suffered a cerebral infarction at such a young age. It was highly probable that a fragnt of the myxoma had broken off and caused a cerebral embolism.
