Liu Banxia was also sowhat troubled. He had a mission to help Liang Xiaolin, but he was unsure how to go about it.
Just as he was about to ask Zhang Yun to go for lunch, Qin Hai walked out of his office with a gloomy face.
"Liu Banxia, from today onwards, you are suspended from all patient care duties. Wait for further notice from the hospital managent regarding when you can resu your work." Qin Hai dropped the bombshell and then turned back into his office.
Liu Banxia was baffled, as were the other dical staff in the ergency room. What had happened this ti? The involvent of hospital managent indicated this was no small matter. Had a patient complained about Shoutian?
"Shoutian, go find out what’s happening," Zhang Yun suggested.
Liu Banxia nodded, took out his mobile phone, and dialed Shi Lei. But, after just two rings, Shi Lei hung up on him.
This made him even more worried because Shi Lei would never refuse his calls under any circumstances. Even if Shi Lei was in surgery, a nurse would answer for him. To hang up directly like this definitely ant sothing serious had occurred.
"Shoutian, have you offended anyone else or gotten involved in anything else recently? Try to recall," Wang Ying frowned and asked.
"Sister Wang, who else could I possibly offend? Have you heard anything? Did Qin Hai play so dirty tricks again?" Liu Banxia asked with a wry smile.
Wang Ying shook her head. "I haven’t heard anything. I guess Director Qin also just received the news."
Currently, Liu Banxia was utterly clueless. His first thought was about yesterday’s flight doctor incident. Since Shi Lei was currently rejecting his calls, he might be under investigation. But on second thought, that seed unlikely. His actions during the flight doctor mission were standard procedure and permissible; they wouldn’t discipline him for that.
"I just asked my uncle-in-law. He’s in surgery right now, so he can only ask after he’s done," Xu Dan walked over with her phone.
"No problem, I’ll go to the Proctology Departnt and ask Director Jiang if he knows about this. He didn’t have any surgeries this morning." Having said this, Liu Banxia dashed off.
From his office, Director Qin watched Liu Banxia’s flustered state with satisfaction. He had known this kid would ss up eventually; all his previous efforts had been superfluous.
After so thought, he pulled out his mobile phone again.
"Old Wu, I think your hospital administration needs to seriously address the discipline issues in our Second Affiliated Hospital," Qin Hai said once the call connected.
"Exactly. If it weren’t for your notice, I wouldn’t have known such a major incident occurred. We should take this as a warning; it’s a wake-up call for all of us.
"My opinion? What opinion could I have? I’m the director of the Ergency Departnt, not General Surgery. Besides, I’m about to retire. Who would care about my opinion anyway?
"Hahaha, I’m not complaining. Retiring is my own choice. It’s just that I feel the young people nowadays lack that dedication to wholeheartedly serving patients that we used to have. And then everyone thinks I’m targeting him. Tell , do I need to bother? Look, sothing has happened now, hasn’t it?
"Yes, yes, yes. Personally, I believe this must be dealt with severely. We absolutely cannot be lenient. Otherwise, what will our hospital beco in the eyes of the public? Who would dare to co to us for treatnt in the future?

After hanging up, Qin Hai pumped his fist in excitent. Finally, a chance to vent his anger.

"Have you asked Shi Lei? Logically, General Surgery should have been notified first," Jiang Tao said.
"I called him, but he didn’t answer," Liu Banxia replied hastily.

At this point, Liu Banxia pinned all his hopes on Jiang Tao. At least he needed to know why he was ’dead.’
"Liu, did you accept benefits from patients?" Jiang Tao asked, his eyebrows furrowed, after hanging up his call.
"What?" Liu Banxia’s voice noticeably heightened.
"Director Jiang, what on earth is this about? How could I dare to accept benefits from patients? That one ti in our Proctology Departnt, I accepted so fruit. Does that count?"
"Co, let’s go see Director Zhou," Jiang Tao stood up.
"The hospital administration said they received a complaint, with video evidence. They’ve sent the video to Director Zhou. Apparently, it’s causing quite a stir online, which is why the administration decided on a temporary suspension. Suspend first, investigate later."
"Damn it! Who the hell is trying to fra ? Director Jiang, I swear to God, if I took money from patients, may I die a horrible death!" Liu Banxia was getting desperate.

As they stepped out of the Proctology Departnt office, Liu Banxia’s phone rang. He quickly answered it.

"Co back to the Ergency Departnt first. Director Zhou and I are both here," Shi Lei said and hung up.
Holding his phone, Liu Banxia paused for a mont, then looked at Jiang Tao.
"I’ll go with you. I want to see what exactly is going on too," Jiang Tao said.
Liu Banxia nodded gratefully. He was certain he had been set up. He wasn’t sure by whom yet, but this was definitely a serious matter. Furthermore, he suspected Qin Hai’s involvent. Even if he had genuinely accepted benefits from a patient, there should have been an investigation first, then a suspension. Now, it was suspension first, then investigation—clearly not the proper procedure.
