The next day, Liu Banxia got up especially early.

This is also a small reward for Tang Dou. It hasn't had a chance to run freely in a long ti, so it deserves to relax a bit.

He actually wanted to take a day off today, so he could accompany his parents for a stroll outside.

But that's not sothing he can decide; you have to follow the rules. Having just finished a break, wanting more without reason would be a bit excessive.

"How's that child doing?" Liu Banxia asked Xu Yino after arriving at the ergency center.

Xu Yino shook her head, "No improvent at all, not sure what's the issue."

"Well, nothing can be done then. Let's observe for one more morning. If it doesn't work out, we'll have to consider other options. I might have guessed wrong." Liu Banxia said.

"Teacher Liu, we ate really well last night." Xu Yino took out his al card.

"Didn't it? That was my money being spent." Liu Banxia said helplessly.

"Eh? Sothing feels off. It's like you're hiding sothing from . Confess, what's going on? Did you get into trouble? If it's not a serious mistake, I might consider letting it slide."

Xu Yino gave him a helpless look, "I was planning a surprise, but you've figured it out again. That kid, out of nowhere, got better this morning and even got up to use the toilet."

Ding! Faking illness? Task completed

Liu Banxia extended a finger and flicked Xu Yino on the forehead. So cheeky, he knew how much he cared about this case and still wanted to surprise him.

"Teacher Liu, always bullying people." Xu Yino said gloomily.

He originally wanted to dodge, but couldn't escape Liu Banxia's quick hands.

"Co on, let's go take a look." Liu Banxia said.

"Teacher Liu, it seems your speculation was correct. It's indeed a case of stress-induced obstruction transfer. However, the detailed process will remain unclear." Xu Yino said.

"The family had a long talk last night. No clue what they discussed, I only overheard the nurses talking about it."

"Don't expect even the best doctor to diagnose every ailnt conclusively." Liu Banxia said.

"As long as the patient recovers, I'm satisfied. However, this case can provide so reference for future diagnoses, though such cases are very rare."

"Even people with functional disorders rarely lack nerve signal transmission. So, our little patient is quite special."

Xu Yino nodded; they had a small discussion in the morning and agreed this case was quite mysterious. If the patient had held on a bit longer at ho, they might not have needed to visit the hospital.

"Dr. Liu, thank you."

Seeing Liu Banxia entering, the child's mother quickly stood up to express her gratitude.

The child was sitting on the exam bed, eating breakfast, and flashed a bright smile at Liu Banxia.

"Excellent, able to eat and drink, and now mobile again. Try not to occupy a bed here; head ho after breakfast." Liu Banxia said.

"Dr. Liu, should we be more cautious in the future? Will it relapse?" The child's mother asked.

"Normally, it shouldn't." Liu Banxia thought for a mont before responding.

"I'm not a psychiatric specialist, but I believe we each have our stress-handling capacity. This case was particularly stressful because the situation was too unique."

"Usually, a scare might cause temporary reactions like confusion, or weakened limbs, but not sothing this severe."

"Dr. Liu, I've figured it out, just like my mom did." The young patient said, biting into a youtiao (fried dough).

"Let others say what they want. Those two couldn't get along, so it's better if they don't drag each other down. Even if they stayed as before, it'd be constant argunts, which isn't worth it."

"Seems like you've really thought it through. But you must sort things out for yourself; others' opinions aren't always accurate." Liu Banxia nodded.

"Life's never smooth sailing. There'll be setbacks in life, school, and work."

"Young man, take your ti and keep it up. After eating, handle your discharge paperwork. The hospital environnt, no matter how good, isn't as comfortable as ho."

The young patient nodded with a smile and continued eating breakfast happily.

"Fortunately, they didn't fuss over yesterday's equipnt checks." Xu Yino said after leaving the ward.

"Not all patients are so particular. His condition is unique. Even if we encountered fussy patients, this wouldn't count as overtreatnt." Liu Banxia said.

"Have all the intern doctors been arranged properly? We need to keep a close eye on them and help them quickly adapt to our work pace. From now on, they need to get their act together."

"Teacher Liu, don't worry. Now that they're under , they can forget about having an easy ti," Xu Yino said with a mischievous smile.

"Don't be too strict. We need to take things step by step." Seeing her sowhat excited deanor, Liu Banxia couldn't help but give a little reminder.

"Hehe, Teacher Liu, is there anything special to note when buying a car?" Xu Yino asked with a playful smile.

"Not much. Last night, Qiaoqiao contacted the dealership. It's not the Qiu Family's, but they have a good relationship with Qiaoqiao," Liu Banxia replied.

"The car prices are almost transparent now. You just need to get insurance at their store, and they'll offer the lowest price, without forcing any additional installations."

"If you want additional installations, that's fine; they'll offer so maintenance perks. It seems there are also available cars without extra installations, so you can decide for yourself later."

Xu Yino nodded eagerly.

It's a big purchase, so I can't be careless.

Back in the lobby, Liu Banxia took a look around. His and Chen Xuehai's titles had been switched to deputy director. However, Chen Xuehai prioritized business matters and ranked ahead of him.

He's not bothered; being deputy director is enough. There's no need for a bike.

"I was looking for you. There's a Marathon event coming up, and our hospital needs to send so people to attend. Are you interested?" At this mont, Chen Xuehai approached.

"Sounds good; it's like going for a stroll," Liu Banxia said with a smile.

"Don't take it too lightly. Take two people with you. Marathon events can be unpredictable, and the weather is still quite hot this year," Chen Xuehai advised.

"Alright, I'll go then. At most, we might deal with so sprains or heat strokes," Liu Banxia replied.

"In that case, I'll leave it to you. This is our ergency center's first official field assignnt, and having you there puts more at ease," Chen Xuehai said.

"Couldn't you arrange the group dinner for tomorrow night instead?" Liu Banxia asked.

"Why?" Chen Xuehai asked curiously.

"I have a shift tomorrow night, and it would save the cost of one al," Liu Banxia said matter-of-factly.

Chen Xuehai rolled his eyes and decided to ignore him.

"Director Liu, co over for a mont," Chen Hongyang from pediatrics called out.

Liu Banxia quickly ran over.

Xu Yino took a look before deciding to check it out first and go to the car dealership later.

"What's the situation?" Liu Banxia asked after arriving.

"A child was brought in this morning, seven months old. According to the parents, the crying has been weak and the child is inactive for the past couple of days. Initial diagnosis showed slight drooping of the eyelids, but blood count and biochemistry are all normal," Chen Hongyang explained.

Liu Banxia nodded, "Are you suspecting myasthenia? Have you done a thymus check?"

"Just sent for a CT scan. Considering you've recently had multiple patients with myasthenia symptoms, I thought you could provide so insight," Chen Hongyang said.

"If it really is a congenital thymoma, with a child this young, are you confident in handling the surgery? I think we should prepare for it," Liu Banxia said, grinning.

"Although I'm keen to get into pediatric surgery, without any prior experience, I can't say for sure that I'm confident," he admitted.

"Let's wait for the exam results. Don't put too much pressure on . Moreover, the baby's blood tests are normal, lowering the likelihood of a thymoma," he continued.

Right now, Liu Banxia was feeling so pressure. Thinking and doing are entirely different things.

The situation hardly needed ntioning; even picturing a tiny baby lying on a cold operating table was heart-rending.

"I think it should be fine; after all, the physiological structure is identical, just requiring extra caution during the operation," Chen Hongyang said.

"You should lead your team well. If you're too afraid, they will be even more so. Perhaps your efforts will inspire a team of excellent pediatric surgeons," he continued.

"Teacher Liu, Teacher Chen, I have to rush to the car dealership," Xu Yino said, dropping the line and making a swift exit.

"See that? Not confident at all; just hearing about it scared them away," Liu Banxia remarked.

Chen Hongyang sighed, "Anyway, you need to follow this case. I just checked; you have no other patient appointnts today. If it turns out to be congenital thymoma, I think you'd be the best fit to perform the surgery."

Feeling quite resigned, Liu Banxia responded, "I'm a general surgeon; you should approach Old Chen."

"You've been involved in thymoma surgeries before. What I really have in mind is for you two to collaborate on the procedure," Chen Hongyang said.

"Let's wait to see what the result is," Liu Banxia said.

He hadn't anticipated that Chen Hongyang would have such a keen interest in pediatric surgery.
