Chapter 1168: Shadows vs Lightning Chapter 1168: Shadows vs Lightning The Legends and Sky Lords looked on in horror as the do of shadows ford, its overwhelming size casting a suffocating presence over the city.

They launched attacks-spells, weapons, and energy strikes-against the shadowy barrier, but through their efforts caused ripples, none could break through its oppressive veil.

A cold smile tugged at Cain’s lips as he observed the effectiveness of Shadow World.

While it lacked the impenetrable defense of the Glass Do and could not hinder communication or teleportation, its versatility and adaptability more than made up for it.

The do didn’t just function as a barrier.

Inside, Cain’s shadow abilities were magnified severalfold.

Cain needed to sell the idea that the figure attacking Lord Zero was a crazed, powerful shadow master, and there was no better way to do that than to leave a trail of bodies in his wake.

The fact that he could kill and consu Legends and Sky Lords?

That was just a bonus.

His form, shrouded in darkness, took a deep breath before lting into the shadows.

He moved like a wraith, darting toward a nearby Legend, hunger and killing intent burning from within.

The city below was engulfed in terror as people watched the shadow-cloaked figure streak through the sky, effortlessly cutting down beings they had once viewed as untouchable.

Each Sky Lord and Legend was like a god for the normal people of the city, yet they were crushed like flies. Cain’s attacks were swift and rciless.

With each dash, a Sky Lord or Legend fell, their bodies vanishing into the shadows as if they had never existed.

His claws, imbued with the devastating power of Reaper Touch, tore through their defenses as if they were nothing more than paper.

The remaining Legends scrambled inside the do, desperately trying to regroup and mount a defense.

But it was futile.

Cain was everywhere and nowhere at once, his mastery over shadows turning him into an elusive predator. Each ti a Legend thought they had caught a glimpse of the entity, he vanished into the darkness, only to reappear behind them and deliver a fatal blow.

The city’s skyline had beco a battlefield drenched in fear and death.

The massive shadowy do lood overhead, a constant reminder of the inescapable nightmare that had descended upon them.

The cold hunger in Cain’s eyes intensified with each Sky Lord and Legend he consud, a thrill surging through his soul as he imagined the new abilities he would soon possess.

His gaze locked onto a distant Legend, a young woman of extraordinary beauty, but Cain saw none of that-she was just food.

He dashed forward, shadows swirling around him with murderous intent.

But just as he was about to reach the Legend, a voice bood across the city like thunder.

“Foul beast, face my wrath!” Arcs of lightning ripped through the sky, shattering Cain’s shadow do and striking toward him with overwhelming speed.

Cain’s eyes widened at the sheer power behind the attack.

He barely managed to raise his arms, gathering shadows to form a barrier before the lightning struck.

“¡BOOM!” The force of the lightning sent Cain crashing through several buildings, the impact shaking the ground as he was driven deep into the earth with imnse strength.

The Sky Lords and Legends who had survived looked up, hope rising in their eyes as the shadow do dissipated.

They turned their gazes to the source of their salvation.

A middle-aged man with golden hair, nearly three ters tall, wearing strange armor made of scales and pulsating with arcs of lightning.

His gaze did not waver from the figure rising from the rubble, whose body was still cloaked in swirling shadows.

The man’s expression was solemn as he realized how little damage his attack had caused.

Cain rose to the sky, shaking off the impact, his cold eyes locking onto the newcor.

His Eye of Gluttony activated, revealing the man’s soul force-Level 27! However, the sheer might of his lightning exceeded that, rivaling the power of Ophiron, the battle monk who had once pushed Cain to his limits.

It was clear that the man’s Legendary Innate Ability was not normal. Although Cain had never t this man before, he imdiately recognized him from Lord Zero’s intel.

‘Robert, the Lightning Knight.

One of the South Coast’s peak powerhouses who stayed behind instead of traveling to the Sun Church,’ Cain thought, his eyes glowing coldly.

His gaze hardened.

‘Let’s see how powerful you are!’ With a roar that echoed across the city, Cain summoned all the shadows to converge upon him.

They surged in a flaming tide, wrapping around his body and enhancing his power as he dashed forward with terrifying speed.

Robert’s eyes widened as the shadow-cloaked entity appeared before him in a heartbeat, claws slashing toward his face.

Yet, despite his shock, his body reacted with overwhelming speed and reflexes.

He sidestepped just in ti, avoiding the lethal strike.

Cain was surprised by the man’s reflexes.

Lord Zero had warned him about Robert’s speed, but this exceeded his expectations.

Before he could counter, Robert’s fist slamd into his ribs, sending him hurtling through the air.

But Robert didn’t stop.

Clasping his hands together, he raised them high, shouting, “Lightning Hamr!” A massive bolt of lightning erupted from Robert’s hands, surging into the sky, where it seed to grow exponentially stronger before crashing down toward Cain with devastating force.

Cain, still midair, twisted his body, transforming into pure shadow.

The lightning bolt missed, shattering the ground beneath him as he regained control.

His form flickered as he moved, the shadows warping around him before he lunged toward Robert with renewed killing intent.

Robert’s eyes narrowed as he watched Cain’s movents.

Lightning crackled around him as he dashed forward, eting Cain head-on.

The two clashed in midair, a violent collision of shadows and lightning.

Cain’s claws slashed through the air, but Robert deflected them with lightning-infused fists, moving with reflexes that bordered on precognition.

Cain’s shadowy form twisted and coiled, evading strikes that seed impossible to dodge, while Robert’s movents blurred, his lightning amplifying his speed.
