Chapter 1252: New body (I) Chapter 1252: New body (I) A small smile arose on Cain’s face as he observed the horrible and deep wounds on the Blood Dragon.
It had pushed him to his limits and forced him into great danger, but the scarlet dragon had managed to inflict injuries that would tip the balance of this fight in his favor.
Or so he thought.
The Blood Dragon gazed at its wounds, and instead of dread, a cold smile appeared on its face.
Its eyes began to glow, and a unique power burst through its flesh and blood.
Under the shocked and stunned gaze of the scarlet dragon, a pillar of blood began to rise from the depths of ocean beneath them and fuse into the body of the Blood Dragon, hastily nding all its wounds and regenerating the damaged tissues.
Cain was at a loss; the regeneration was so fast that before he could react, the Blood Dragon had completely healed, while he remained riddled with wounds from their fierce battle.
Unfortunately for Cain, the Blood Dragon did not wait for him to overco his shock.
It lunged forward, full of killing intent.
The two colossal dragons clashed once more, but Cain was on the losing side this ti.
His previous injuries slowed him and prevented him from unleashing his full power.
The Blood Dragon’s claws raked across Cain’s scales, leaving deep gashes that oozed crimson.
Cain tried to retaliate, but his movents were sluggish.
The Blood Dragon seized the advantage, delivering a powerful tail strike that sent Cain tumbling through the air.
Regaining his footing, Cain narrowly dodged a biting attack aid at his neck but couldn’t avoid a crushing blow to his side that cracked several ribs.
Each exchange left Cain weaker, the pain searing through his body as flesh was torn and bones were broken.
Not even ten minutes had passed since the Blood Dragon healed itself, and he was already about to collapse.
The scarlet dragon knew he couldn’t continue like this.
Gathering every ounce of determination, Cain pushed himself beyond his limits.
With a fierce roar, he swung his tail with all his might, landing a direct hit to the Blood Dragon’s chest and pushing the enemy away.
Seizing the opening, Cain didn’t hesitate before flying away from the Blood Dragon.
Luckily, it didn’t take long for him to exit the formation that sealed his energy and soul abilities.
Scarlet fire burst through his body the next second, nding his wounds as he hovered in the air.
The Blood Dragon did not chase Cain once he left the restrictive formation.
Like all other trials in the Demon King’s Castle, it allowed the challenger the option to escape.
Of course, the massive creature remained vigilant and would not permit Cain to reach the black gate leading to the sixth level without a fight.
Cain’s eyes were cold as the scarlet fire healed his injuries.
A sharp light flickered within them as he contemplated how to overco this blood doppelgänger.
“Just being slightly stronger or finding an opening is clearly not enough.
I must defeat it so thoroughly that not even its blood regeneration can help it.” A solemn light appeared in Cain’s eyes as he understood what he needed to achieve.
But another question bothered him.
“How will I do that?” Inside the battlefield, his energy and soul abilities were restricted, so he could only rely on his body-the sa one that the Blood Dragon used.
Thanks to his journey through the Sanguine Area and all he had learned so far, the answer soon presented itself.
“I need a body that has the strength, endurance, and vitality of my dragon form but also the agility and dexterity of my dragonborn form.” A silent and sharp light appeared in the eyes of the scarlet dragon as he adopted a ditative position in the sky.
His mind focused on the last lesson he had learned inside the fifth level: the ability to adapt, evolve, and overco.
Minutes beca hours, and hours beca days, but Cain showed no movent, lost in his thoughts and insights, pushing his understanding of the Oniric Truth of Blood to the limit.
Slowly, as the days passed, an image was forged in his mind-of a body that could unleash overwhelming endurance and explode with power at any mont, an entity that could endure the passage of ti unmoving and could bring cataclysmic destruction in an instant.
“A volcano,” Cain whispered.
After thirty-three days, he uttered those two words, and the next second, a burst of power, energy, and vitality erged from him as his figure began to change.
His massive seventy-five-thousand-ter-tall body began to shrink, but unlike what happened when he adopted his dragonborn form, his muscle mass did not diminish.
Instead, it compressed, tightening around itself.
His muscles beca denser, the fibers interwoven to create a compact yet incredibly powerful form.
His bones adjusted accordingly.
They beca thicker, stronger, and more compact, allowing for greater agility without sacrificing durability.
The compression enhanced the structural integrity of his skeleton, making his fra capable of withstanding imnse forces.
Cain’s scales grew even thicker and more resilient as they adjusted to his new size.
They overlapped more tightly, forming an almost impenetrable armor that glead with a dark, tallic sheen.
The scales acted like the hardened crust of a volcano, capable of containing the fiery power within.
As his body transford, the energy within him surged.
The fusion of his dragon and dragonborn forms resulted in a new entity-one that embodied the best of both.
His senses sharpened; he could feel the flow of blood and energy not just within himself but in the very air around him.
Finally, after nearly fifteen hours, Cain completed his transformation.
What appeared in the fifth level of the Demon King’s Castle could only be described as an entity of monstrous power and might.
Standing at a height that balanced strength and agility, Cain’s new form radiated an aura of unstoppable force-a power that would be enough to overco the Blood Dragon!
