Chapter 1261: Level 27 Chapter 1261: Level 27 Without wasting ti, Cain moved forward and placed his claw on the gate.

“Congratulations on finishing the Frozen Abyss.

Wait until the deadline is completed for the gate to the Sky Devouring Grotto to open.

The ranking will also be displayed at that ti, and the reward will be granted,” the voice of the Demon King echoed across the dinsion.

Cain nodded softly before adopting a ditative stance in front of the Gate of Gluttony.

He closed his eyes, allowing all his instinctive understanding to evolve into true comprehension, nurturing his soul, black hole, and True Na. The aura of the gate enveloped him, and the Mark of Wisdom allowed him to perceive and comprehend the mystery and power of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony.

There was still a lot of ti before the deadline, and Cain forgot about everything else as he focused solely on the gate.

Shortly after starting his ditation, Cain felt the words Vorax and Imperator flood his soul and mind with insight and deep understanding, aiding his comprehension.

They were not alone; his Dragon Sinful Heart also helped him, pushing his intuitive understanding of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony to its purest form, flooding his mind.

The combination of these elents allowed Cain’s speed of comprehension to reach an overwhelming level, and he felt his understanding grow by the minute.

As the days went by, the onslaught of understanding in Cain’s mind and soul grew stronger, his eyes glowing with a deeper and more potent green light until they finally reached an extre.

“The power of Gluttony lies not only in the act of devouring but in the ability to assimilate and transform.

To master this truth, I required myself to understand that everything in the universe is interconnected, and by consuming the world around , I beco one with it.” Cain couldn’t help but utter those words aloud, echoing his understanding.

“However, Gluttony is also a double-edged sword.

The more one consus, the more one risks losing oneself to endless hunger, assimilating so much of others that they lose their sense of being.

True mastery of Gluttony requires not just the ability to devour but the wisdom to control hunger, using it as a tool for growth rather than a curse of self-destruction.

The Oniric Truth of Gluttony is a force of evolution and transformation-a constant drive to consu and beco stronger-.

Still, without a strong will, your sense of self and individuality will fade, replaced by an amalgamation of desires and forces that never belonged to you.” As he uttered those words, Cain felt his understanding of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony take a qualitative step forward.

Although his comprehension was still in its early stages, it had reached a significant milestone.

Shortly after voicing his insights, Cain’s entire body trembled as he felt his soul force surge.

The black hole within him expanded dramatically, and his energy pool grew exponentially.

The transformation lasted nearly an hour before fully stabilizing.

Once everything was over, a broad smile appeared on Cain’s face, and he couldn’t help but laugh.

“Hahaha, amazing.

I have reached Level 27!” There was utter thrill and excitent in Cain’s heart as he advanced once more.

Usually, it would take decades for even the most talented to rise through the levels of the Stellar Abyss Rank.

Yet Cain did it in less than a year thanks to the incredible improvents that understanding and assimilating the Oniric Truths granted him.

No matter how you look at it, the Demon King Castle has been a true treasure trove for him, allowing his power to rise incredibly fast.

After his ascension, Cain gazed at the white gate for a mont before simply lying on the ground and closing his eyes.

There were only a few days left before the deadline, and he wouldn’t gain much by pushing himself further, so it was better to allow his mind and soul a true rest.

Four days later, Cain opened his eyes, relaxation washing over him.

A wide smile appeared on his face just as the voice of the Demon King echoed across the multiple parallel dinsions.

“Congratulations on finishing the Trial of Hatred, the Frozen Abyss!

Now it is ti for the ranking!” Cain gazed at the flaming words that appeared and was startled for a second as he saw that only five nas were present.

Of all the people who entered the Blood and Hunger Trial, only five remained.

He read the nas in order, and at the top was himself, followed by ylin, Helios, Eldrick, and Amara.

Everybody else had failed.

There was nothing Cain could do about it, and he only hoped that the dragons who didn’t manage to carry on were wise enough not to overestimate their abilities and had avoided falling during the trials.

However, those thoughts did not linger long in his mind as the flaming letters began to coalesce.

The fiery characters shimred and danced in the air, their crimson hues deepening to a velvety maroon.

They twisted and intertwined, forming intricate patterns that pulsed with arcane energy.

As they drew together, shadows began to seep from the spaces between them, swirling like dark mist.

The amalgamation of fire and shadow grew more complex, and the flas now tinged with shades of obsidian and midnight blue.

Gradually, the mass took on a definitive shape-a colossal brain suspended in the air, forged from the very essence of shadows and flickering embers.

The surface of the brain was a labyrinth of convolutions and grooves, each ridge etched with ancient runes that glowed faintly with inner fire.

Wisps of shadow drifted from its surface like tendrils, reaching out into the void before retracting, giving the impression of a living, thinking entity.

Cain gazed at the brain for a few seconds before the voice of the Demon King echoed inside his mind.

“This is the Shadow Brian.

You can assimilate on your own, granting you higher control over the Oniric Turh of Hatred, and it will also work as a shield against spiritual attacks, weakening them before they can reach your soul.”
