Chapter 1272: The end of the Blood and Hunger Trial!

Chapter 1272: The end of the Blood and Hunger Trial!

Cain’s instincts were not mistaken.

Less than thirty minutes after leaving the battlefield, he stood once again in front of a massive gate, and this one was gray.

He focused on the runes and archaic sigils etched into it, trying to understand what the next trial would entail. Unfortunately, no matter how much he focused or tried, Cain could not sense anything from them.

It wasn’t that they lacked power, but the power inside the gate was so high-level that even with the Mark of Wisdom, he could not glimpse into it.

The Mark of Wisdom allowed him to perceive the Oniric Truths, yet he could not understand this gate’s runes and symbols, which could only an it was a power on a stage even higher than the Oniric Truths!

Such a revelation shocked Cain.

After all, the Oniric Truths were the principles of the Crimson World that stood above the Nine Emperyan Suns Universe’s Laws and Concepts, so he could not even begin to imagine what could stand above that.

“What does this gate symbolize?” Cain couldn’t help but ask himself, attempting to figure out what type of power he was standing in front of, an inquisitive and curious light filling his eyes.

While Cain was confident in his abilities, he was not so arrogant as to think he could understand everything.

So he just moved forward and placed his claw over the gray gate.

“Congratulations on finishing the Sky Devouring Grotto and completing the Blood and Hunger Trial!” The voice of the Demon King echoed across the grotto.

Still, instead of revealing a new trial, it communicated to Cain that the trial he had worked so hard on and pushed himself to the limit over and over again was finally completed, leaving the scarlet dragon stunned for a mont.

“Wait until the deadline is completed to hear The Eternal’s Saga.

The ranking will also be displayed at that ti, and the reward will be granted,” the voice of the Demon King echoed a few seconds later, awakening Cain from his stupor and making a curious expression appear on his face.

“The Eternal’s Saga?” Although the Blood and Hunger Trial was over, the journey through the Demon King’s Castle seed to have sothing else to offer.

Cain considered his next move, and in the end, he decided just to wait, absorbing the Depravita Essence that flooded the dinsion.

At the sa ti, his mind delved into the deep knowledge and insight of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony he had obtained inside the seventh level.

Cain had gone through the Sky Devouring Grotto extrely fast, so he spent several months training in deep ditation.

His black hole and True Na beca increasingly powerful as the Depravita Essence and understanding of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony improved.

Finally, the three hundred and fifty-one days for the Sky Devouring Grotto were completed.

“Congratulations on finishing the Trial of Gluttony, the Sky Devouring Grotto!

Now it is ti for the ranking!” Cain woke up as the voice of the Demon King echoed across the dinsion, and he saw with a flash of surprise how the flaming letters only forged three nas.

Over eighty of the top geniuses of the three great powers of the Helix Continent had entered the Demon King’s Blood and Hunger Trial, and only three of them managed to reach the end.

As for the nas, they were Cain, ylin, and Helios.

Cain had barely gotten over the surprise of just how few managed to reach the end when the flaming letters revolved around themselves before taking the form of a massive sword.

It was a weapon of unparalleled craftsmanship and imposing presence.

The sword stood over twenty ters tall, its blade forged from a dark, lustrous tal that seed to absorb light rather than reflect it.

The edge was jagged and serrated, resembling the teeth of a ravenous beast, each serration razor-sharp and glinting with a hungry gleam.

Along the flat of the blade, intricate engravings depicted swirling vortexes devouring stars and galaxies, embodying the very essence of insatiable hunger.

The hilt was equally magnificent, fashioned from a fusion of obsidian and bone.

It was wrapped in scales that shimred with iridescent hues, shifting colors like the skin of a chaleon.

The guard was shaped like two open jaws, one from above and one from below, lined with fangs interlocked protectively around the wielder’s hand.

Embedded within the jaws were glowing runes that pulsed with an inner fire, each symbol representing an aspect of gluttony-consumption, desire, and endless appetite.

At the poml rested a massive gem, a swirling amalgamation of reds and blacks that seed to contain a miniature galaxy within.

The gem emanated a gravitational pull as if yearning to draw all matter into itself.

The entire sword exuded an aura of overwhelming power and insatiable desire, making the air around it heavy and charged with energy.

As Cain gazed upon the sword, his eyes widened.

He could feel the power of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony emanating from it at an extrely high level.

But soon, a small frown arose on his face.

His Dragon Hybrid Body was forged to use claws, legs, and tail as his fighting style, and wielding a sword would hinder those moves.

Luckily for Cain, his worries were unfounded.

“This is the Fang of the Devourer.

You can wield it or fuse it with a part of your body.

It will allow you to absorb the energy and vitality of anything you harm,” the Demon King’s voice echoed in Cain’s mind.

A wide smile appeared as he sent his soul force into the massive sword, branding it.

The Fang of the Devourer trembled for a second before lting into a plasma that flashed toward Cain’s right hand, fusing with his claw and giving it a bright red luster.

Cain’s smile grew wider as he felt his right claw beco much more powerful and could sever everything in its path.

The claw now bore the sa intricate engravings that had adorned the blade, and the gem from the poml was embedded on the back of his hand, swirling with that sa gravitational allure.
