When it ca to the Depravita Race, even soone as cold and objective as Cain could not help but feel the coldness and killing intent, and there was nothing wrong with those feelings.
After all, Horus and his kind killed billions of people in Aether and nearly severed his mories and willpower. Of course, what the man was seeking now was a new beginning, a new path to rise above his nature.
Yet, one good deed doesn’t erase a bad one.
As thoughts of loathso and coldness began to surge in Cain’s mind, the Power of Order acted swiftly.
It flooded through his soul, shutting down all the bias and resentnt he harbored toward the Depravita Race.
His mind cleared, allowing him to focus solely on the Demon King’s narrative without the cloud of past prejudices.
The Demon King noticed the fleeting flash of loathing in the eyes of the scarlet dragon but also saw how it vanished almost imdiately, replaced by cold pragmatism.
A subtle nod acknowledged this transformation before he continued his tale.

“However, what is the point of power if it chains you, dictating your goals and purpose?
So I decided to evolve, and luckily, I had so help from the first man I could ever call a friend.” The Demon King turned his piercing gaze toward Cain as he uttered the next word.
“Adam.” Cain’s eyes narrowed upon hearing that na.
There was no mistaking the reference-the Forefather of the Godslayer Humankind, the First Dreamwalker.

The Demon King did not seem particularly inclined to solve his doubts as he carried on.
“He was the one that put in this place, using what he called the Power of Chaos to channel the resentnt of all those I hard into these chains so I could use the pain to clean my soul and overco my nature.” Cain’s eyes narrowed further as he absorbed those words.
There was no doubt the process must have been torturous-an agony he could not even imagine enduring for millions of years just to break free of the shackles that bound one’s mind and soul and to choose one’s own path.
Regardless of the feelings he harbored for the Depravita Race, he had to admit that it was a path worthy of respect.
“Adam, old friend, you are a real bastard!” Just as Cain was lost in his thoughts, the Demon King unleashed an outburst, anger flashing in his eye.
But there was no malice in his tone-just the kind of anger one might show to a brother.
The trio did not have to wonder for long about the reason for that anger.
“That bastard waited until I was caged in this damn throne to tell that I would not only have to overco the burn of sin but also repay my karma to the world and nurture the new generation.
What do I look like, a babysitter?
I swear that when I find you, I will smash your head!” The Demon King once more unleashed an outburst, his chains rattling with the force of his frustration.
Cain gazed at the man, his expression a blend of astonishnt and contemplation, as he listened to the Demon King speak in a calm yet resolute tone.
“I am sorry to say, but I think the man you are speaking of must have perished a long ti ago,” Cain stated clearly.
He recalled the tale of Tiamat and how Adam seed to have perished in the Great War.
Given that the Demon King was placed on this chained throne before the end, he should not be aware of that.
Upon hearing those words, instead of showing sadness or rage, the Demon King displayed pure contempt.
“Hmph, brat, don’t speak what you don’t know.
If Adam was dead, these chains would have faded.
I don’t know where that bastard is, but I can assure you, he is very much alive.” Cain’s eyes widened as he heard this revelation.
He had been under the premise that the First Titan of the Godslayer had died, yet that doesn’t seem to be the case, and there was no reason for the Demon King to lie to him.
The Demon King noticed the shock in Cain’s eyes but did not dwell on it.
He continued, his voice steady and unyielding.
“Anyway, as I was telling.
Other than using the pain of the chains to clean my soul and expel my darkness, I had to help raise the new generation of the Crimson World, which was why I forged the Blood and Hunger Trials.” The Demon King’s voice grew harsher and more solemn as he uttered the next words.
“And finally, the last condition for my release was that I found an heir, soone that can follow the Prima Depravita Path by my side.”
