Chapter 1528: World Strength Chapter 1528: World Strength Cain struggled upward, only to be crushed again by the onrushing waves and hurled into the sharp rocks littering the ocean floor.
Then, with what seed like sheer, stubborn desperation, he drove himself up once more.
Over and over, he repeated this agonizing cycle: rising a few precious ters toward the surface, only to be pumled back into the watery depths by the imnse force of the woman’s domain.
His body ached in every possible way, and the suffocating pressure pressed against his chest so hard it felt as though he might drown at any mont.
Yet still, he refused to give in.
His mind spun with one singular thought-pulling more power from whatever source he could manage.
Right now, the only resource he had was the world energy brought by the 31 Revolutions Refinent that coursed through his body. “Co on, give more… just a little more…” He repeated this plea in his mind each ti he forced himself upward, but it was never quite enough.
Overhead, the won watched Cain’s struggle, a twisted smile playing across her lips.
She sensed that Cain was nearing the absolute end of his rope, and a dark, sadistic pleasure welled in her heart.
The more frantically he resisted, the more she intended to savor the sight.
Cain felt his vision darken.
Even with the boosts of world energy he reaped from his tribulation flas, he was now teetering on the brink of oblivion.
The blackness creeping in at the corners of his eyes grew deeper with each wave that slamd him into the rocks.
Only a faint glimr of light remained-a sliver of awareness preventing him from falling unconscious.
Yet, even in that near-fatal state, he kept driving himself forward, mind and soul screaming in unison.
“Give all the power of the world!” A singular intensity rippled through his entire being, a fierce desire to harness every shred of might the universe could offer.
That desperate plea was focused on the power of the 31 Revolutions, yet it did not work.
But his raw demand did resonate with a different part of his soul-one that had been on the brink of a breakthrough for a long ti.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!” An explosion of energy reverberated within the oceanic tomb, causing the woman’s smug grin to falter.
Her eyes widened in shock as she witnessed surge after surge of new power flooding into Cain.
This was not standard world energy triggered by tribulation flas.
Instead, these forces appeared to originate from every aspect of reality itself-the planet’s crust, the latent heat of moving atoms, the faint starlight filtering through the churning water. In that mont, it was as though all the energies of creation had converged around Cain, forming a vacuum that drove back the crushing waves.
The woman’s shock grew as she realized she couldn’t identify this power with any typical law or technique.
anwhile, Cain’s vision blazed with renewed strength.
He imdiately recognized the phenonon.
“World Strength!” Thanks to his desperation and relentless drive to harness all the power within his reach, Cain had finally learned to fuse natural energy with cosmic force, pulling from every fundantal source around him.
This breakthrough allowed him to awaken what the Primorials call World Strength.
Equally important, it signified a milestone in his Primordial Path-he had ascended to the Second Level of the Ascension Stage.
His body and soul now brimd with an even greater capacity for power.
A wild laugh almost bubbled up in Cain’s throat-he could scarcely believe that this dire circumstance had beco the catalyst for such a monuntal evolution in his cultivation.
Yet he knew he couldn’t afford to let excitent distract him.
He felt the unmistakable pulse of murderous intent emanating from the woman who hovered above.
“Why!?
Why!?
WHY!?” she shrieked, eyes alight with a maniacal rage.
“I decreed you must die!
Why do you resist so fiercely?
Lie down and accept your fate-ant!” Driven to a frenzy, she clasped her hands together.
From her Evolution Core, a single droplet of water erged-crystalline, radiant, and brimming with destructive potential.
Cain imdiately recognized it as the anchor for the massive water-serpent spell she had conjured before.
Even though he had the Flow to divert attacks, he knew that so long as he remained trapped within her oceanic domain, she could keep unleashing monstrous spells.
One slip and the waves would swallow him again.
He needed a way out.
And, fortunately, he had prepared one.
From the very start of their clash, Cain had been setting the stage for this gambit-one he had painstakingly orchestrated and that took all his skills as a Genetic Coder.
Now, it was ti to activate it.
“Burn.” Cain’s eyes shone with cold resolve as he uttered that single word.
It carried all his hatred and killing intent, and also his hopes. High above, the woman was mid-gesture, ready to unleash her conjured serpent, when her body froze.
In the next instant, flas erupted from her mouth!
“What?!” She tried to force out the word, but her voice cracked with confusion and pain.
Furious tongues of fire suddenly spread through her body, searing her from the inside out.
Flas began to spurt from her nostrils and even the corners of her eyes.
Shocked, she reflexively scanned her body and soul to identify the source of this intruder, and thanks to her vast ntal power, she found it almost imdiately: a virus.
Through that abrupt ntal search, she traced the virus’s path back to her palm.
“That cut!” She rembered the small wound in her hand inflicted at the very beginning of the battle.
But that was only the start.
When Cain had pierced her chest with his halberd-slicing even into her heart-the virus had entered her bloodstream in a massive influx. Had it attacked outright or tried to sap her vitality at once, she would have easily purged it.
But the virus had been lying dormant, invisible, and harmless until now.
In truth, it was a fiendishly clever sche.
