Chapter 1587: All-Out
“BOOM!” “BOOM!”
Two thunderous detonations echoed simultaneously as Cain and Reverend Madness lunged forward, shattering the ground beneath their feet. Their speed was nothing short of astonishing—so fast that less than a nanosecond passed before halberd and sword collided in a shower of sparks and swirling energies. This ti, however, the situation had shifted dramatically.
Reverend Madness’s eyes widened in alarm as he felt an overpowering strain running through his sword arm. He could not ignore how his blade was being forced downward by Cain’s halberd.
Cain’s strength had soared to new heights, not simply because his Ego Wave now fueled his Rebirth Heart and Evolution Core, but also due to the Concept of Power perating every fiber of his body. It was as if raw, primal force radiated from his muscles and bones, granting him an advantage over the ancient monstrosity before him.
Of course, an eternal fiend like Reverend Madness was not one to panic. As soon as his sword was knocked aside, he pivoted and struck with his staff. Nightmare energy rippled across the staff’s surface, morphing it into a vicious insectoid claw aid straight at Cain’s skull.
At that mont, Cain’s flaming red irises sparked with golden light. He unleashed The Flow. Up to this mont, it had failed against soone like Reverend Madness, who altered his patterns at the last second. This ti, however, Cain’s ntal speed was enough to counter any last-mont changes. Twisting his body, he forced the halberd forward, pushing the sword even farther away, and simultaneously evaded the staff. He then hamred his left elbow into Reverend Madness’s chest with explosive force.
“BOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!”
Reverend Madness soared through the air, only to twist his body mid-flight, regaining equilibrium almost instantaneously. He landed deftly on the fractured earth, eyes frigid and calm—as though the blow had not hard him in the slightest. Monts later, however, a tremor ran through his fra. He coughed up a mouthful of blood, horror flickering in his gaze.
“Damn it,” he growled in disbelief. “That strike connected with a weak point in this body—a flaw left behind by an old wound…”
Such was Reverend Madness’s battle awareness that he instantly recognized what had happened. Yet, no amount of knowledge could blunt the pain or the danger. Cain had already closed in for another assault.
“Apocalyptic Dragon Dive!”
Blazing jets of fla erupted from Cain’s feet as he propelled himself like a living teor toward Reverend Madness, shadow flas rippling along the halberd’s blade. Behind Cain, the towering phantom of a Shooting Star Dragon materialized, amplifying his weapon’s power and unleashing overwhelming pressure across the ravaged battlefield. Even the flas dancing around the ground were snuffed out by the force of Cain’s charge.
From the start, Cain showed no intention of granting this ancient being any reprieve. He refused to let Reverend Madness unveil any hidden trump cards, so he went all out.
Feeling the unfathomable might bearing down on him, Reverend Madness released a violent surge of energy. Sword and staff rged into a single, double-bladed scythe forged of black starlight.
“Nightmare Annihilation Blade!”
He roared, swinging the combined weapon in a sweeping crescent. A colossal tidal wave of nightmare-infused destruction erupted forth. This was no ordinary surge of power: it devoured air, ruptured atoms, and tore at the very fabric of space. Under the sheer pressure, the sky darkened, crackling with unearthly energy.
Ti itself seed to stall as Cain’s Shooting Star Dragon phantom plumted from above while the black ocean of nightmare rose from below.
For a split second, the two locked eyes, each recognizing this mont as the tipping point. Cain’s body blazed like an inferno of divine fury, while Reverend Madness stood like a pillar of ancient malevolence, black star-fueled shadows coiling around him.
At last, the two forces t in a cosmic collision.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!”
The resulting explosion shook not just the battlefield but the entire continent. The land buckled where Cain’s halberd intersected with the tidal wave of nightmare energy, forcing shockwaves to travel far beyond the imdiate clash. Not even the distant seas were spared as monstrous tsunamis rose and fanned outward, wreaking havoc across the horizon. At the epicenter of this cataclysm, space-ti itself collapsed, forming a swirling void reminiscent of a nascent black hole.
Neither Cain nor Reverend Madness had the leisure to marvel at such destructive majesty. They poured every shred of their vitality, soul strength, and conviction into the duel, their bodies straining under the imnse burden.
Reverend Madness’s gaze burned with lethal determination as he pushed the Night Prince’s enhanced body to its extre limits. Yet, try as he might, he could not overwhelm Cain. The best outco Reverend Madness could hope for appeared to be a standoff—an unsatisfying draw.
Cain, however, refused to settle for a draw. The crimson flas dancing in his eyes flared even hotter. Behind him, the Shooting Star Dragon phantom began to deform and reshape. Dark red serpentine scales sprouted across its astral flesh, causing its body to expand, muscles bulging with raw, terrifying power.
Though rely a projection, it symbolized that Cain had tapped into Leviathan’s full strength. He combined the Concepts of Gluttony, Rage, and Sundering in a single cataclysmic surge.
Waves of energy radiated outward as Cain effectively drained the environnt. The winds howled, the ground shriveled, and even the scattered embers flickering in the distance were pulled into the vortex, fueling Cain’s power. At the sa ti, he began burning through his own cells, sacrificing part of himself to further magnify his strength.
In a heartbeat, he channeled that influx of energy through the Concept of Rage, unleashing a wrathful might that removed the final limiters on his physique. His muscles swelled, nearly doubling in size, veins throbbing with a supernatural ferocity that threatened to rip his body apart from within. Yet, his willpower remained unwavering.
Finally, he transferred every iota of this concentrated force into the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd. The weapon blazed with the fury of the Sundering Concept, granting it the power to cleave through any barrier—even a tidal wave of nightmare destruction.
Under Cain’s iron-willed guidance, the halberd glowed brighter than a newborn star.
