Chapter 1634: King of the Gu Sect
The atmosphere surrounding the Gu Sect had always been heavy with tension. It was a place where danger constantly lurked, and the boundaries between friend and foe blurred until one could never be truly sure who might stab them in the back.
Such was the harsh reality of a demonic sect that openly welcod mbers from both the Light and Dark Races. However, recently, the oppressive aura of anxiety and dread had intensified dramatically, reaching an almost unbearable level.
This ti, the overwhelming fear gripping the Gu Sect did not originate from internal power struggles but rather from a terrifying external threat—a single individual.

The fear among the sect mbers had grown so intense that many desperately wanted to flee and abandon the organization altogether. However, the Patriarch forbade any departures, commanding all disciples and elders to remain firmly within the Sect’s walls and even recalling those currently outside.
Clearly, the Sect’s leadership was determined to have every ounce of energy and manpower available, even if it ant using their mbers as re cannon fodder. They understood very well that the clash with the Monster would decide their fate.
Today was the long-awaited day of reckoning.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!”
Suddenly, an earth-shattering explosion resonated across the sky, startling every mber of the Gu Sect and causing all eyes to instinctively look upward. What they saw caused terror to grip their hearts.
A massive, flaming scarlet teor plumted down from the void above, leaving a blazing trail that lit the heavens.
On the tallest tower of the Gu Sect stood two imposing figures who watched the falling teor with grim expressions. One appeared as a young boy from the Godslayer Human race, seemingly no older than ten. He had fiery red hair, intense golden eyes, and wore a flowing black robe embroidered with intricate silver runes.
Beside him stood a towering figure from the Deus Behemoth race, whose humanoid form resembled a fearso demonic dragon. His massive, muscular body was covered in dark scales, crowned by imposing horns on his head and a powerful spiked tail behind him, though he bore no wings.
Their faces were tense, expressions solemn. When Cain defeated Marlin, they convinced themselves it was due to cunning plots, elaborate sches, and not raw strength alone. They believed that without careful preparation, Cain’s strength was manageable.
Yet their confidence shattered when they learned of Cain’s brutal and straightforward victory against Reverend Madness. That act—accomplished purely by overwhelming power—proved definitively that Cain’s might surpassed their own by an enormous margin.
“BOOOOOOMMMMMM!”
Finally, the flaming scarlet teor crashed into the ground roughly a hundred kiloters from the southern gate of the Gu Sect, creating an imnse, fiery crater. From the dense smoke and molten debris erged a young man with short white hair, eyes resembling swirling nebulas, and a chilling smile upon his lips. His unmistakable aura radiated power and cold dominance.
Cain slowly lifted his gaze toward the Gu Sect, observing its trembling mbers with a detached amusent. Less than a decade ago, this very sect had instilled absolute reverence within him, yet now its mbers quivered in utter terror at his re presence.
“Gu Sect,” Cain’s voice bood like thunder, powerful enough to echo in the mind and soul of every single disciple and elder within the city, “for your unforgivable offense against , I have co today seeking retribution!”
On the high tower, the two Third Realm Masters clenched their teeth in barely suppressed fury, hatred, and—whether they dared to admit it or not—fear.
Cain paused briefly, allowing his chilling proclamation to resonate clearly in the hearts of his enemies. Then, with cold authority, he continued:
“To repay your transgressions, you will now serve under my command. From this mont onward, I declare myself the absolute King of the Gu Sect!”
Shock rippled through the sect like lightning. Hundreds of possibilities had entered their minds about how this encounter would unfold, but not once had any considered the audacity of Cain Laurifer claiming direct dominion over their entire sect, demanding their unconditional loyalty and servitude.
Cain did not give them the chance to process or respond to this shocking ultimatum, continuing imdiately with an indifferent smile:
“You have exactly three seconds to surrender and swear absolute fidelity to .”
Three seconds was absurdly short—far too little ti for anyone to even grasp the gravity of the demand, let alone make a conscious decision. Yet Cain clearly cared nothing for their confusion or hesitation.
“Ti is up!” Cain declared with ruthless finality.
At that instant, Cain’s Ego Wave erupted violently, manifesting into the colossal form of Lord of Conquest Leviathan. The terrifying draconic-serpent appeared in the sky, its massive form casting a shadow large enough to blot out the sun over the entire Gu Sect.
“ROOOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRRR!”
Leviathan released an earth-shaking roar so powerful it cracked the ground and made the sky tremble violently. Its massive jaws slowly opened, absorbing all the surrounding cosmic energy and compressing it into a terrifyingly concentrated sphere of pure destructive force.
On the high tower, the red-haired youth reacted swiftly, shouting urgently, “Activate the defensive formation now!”
Instantly, a powerful protective forcefield sprang to life, enveloping the entire Gu Sect like an impenetrable do of crystalline energy. Undeterred, the Lord of Conquest Leviathan continued charging its devastating power before releasing an imnse plasma beam directly at the barrier.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!”
A blinding explosion erupted upon impact, shaking the very foundations of the Gu Sect. Terrifying flas spread violently across the protective do, causing panic to ripple throughout the city. All disciples beneath the Divine Transcendence Rank knew with absolute certainty that if the barrier faltered even slightly, they would instantly be reduced to ash.
Fortunately for them, without Cain and the Alter-Ego becoming a single entity, Leviathan could only unleash destructive power bordering between Early and Middle Prima Deity level—impressive, but not yet sufficient to pierce their formidable defenses. Slowly, the flas dispersed, leaving the protective do intact.
Observing this, the two Third Realm Masters atop the tower sighed in profound relief, smiles of confidence returning to their faces. Perhaps, they thought, the legendary power of Cain Laurifer had been exaggerated. Perhaps they could win.
Yet when they turned toward Cain, expecting frustration or anger, their confidence vanished instantly. Instead of disappointnt, they witnessed a radiant, playful smile spreading across Cain’s face—a sinister grin like that of a child who had discovered an intriguing new toy.
