Chapter 1672: Cain and Alucard

Cain couldn’t help but smile faintly as he shrugged his shoulders. It was futile to deny it; his reputation indeed painted him as a warmongering monster, soone who either destroyed or conquered everything standing in his path. But that hardly concerned him. Calmly, he hovered in the sky, patiently awaiting a response.

Fortunately, Cain didn’t have to wait long. Thirty seconds later, three formidable figures ascended swiftly into the sky from within the city below, each casting an aura that made space tremble.

The trio was composed of a man from the mighty Legio Eldritch Race, a woman from the fiery Inferno Daemon’s Hell Clan, and a massive, imposing figure from the Abyssal Clan.

Each was an imnsely powerful Prima Deity whose presence alone commanded awe. Their synchronized and harmonious auras suggested not only strength but also the deep camaraderie and flawless teamwork that ca from countless battles fought side-by-side.

The Legio Eldritch warrior and Abyssal champion positioned themselves directly in front of Cain, their stance is protective and alert, their towering bodies ready to burst with monstrous strength at any second. Behind them stood the Inferno Daemon woman, her flaming aura blazing with controlled intensity.

Clearly, they were fully prepared for battle, every fiber of their beings tensed and ready to unleash their considerable power at a mont’s notice.

Cain keenly sensed the potent pressure emitted by the trio. A lesser Prima Deity might have felt overwheld or intimidated by such a display of might, but Cain rely smiled, feeling his blood stir with anticipation. Though he’d arrived with diplomatic intent, he’d never shy away from a good fight. To him, battles were opportunities—each opponent defeated becoming nourishnt for the Scarlet Throne.

“Enough.”

Before tensions could escalate any further, a powerful, thunderous voice echoed through the heavens. A figure soon appeared, rising majestically into the sky with an imposing authority.

The newcor was none other than Alucard, the Atrox Grand Elder of the Eclipse School. His overwhelming aura instantly flooded the area, compelling even the other three Grand Elders to cautiously step back, respectfully conceding space to their leader.

Cain’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he gazed at Alucard. He sensed clearly that the Atrox’s strength far exceeded that of the Crown Prince from the Golden Star Kingdom.

“Has he reached the Late Prima Deity Rank?” Cain couldn’t help but wonder, his analytical mind working swiftly.

Neither Cain’s heightened perception nor his [A.I. Chip Module] could give him a definitive answer, but one thing was certain—the intensity of Alucard’s aura placed him among the strongest beings Cain had ever faced.

“Luckily, I’m prepared,” Cain quietly reassured himself. While a direct confrontation against a Late Prima Deity might indeed push him to his absolute limits, Cain possessed a hidden ace: the transplanted ArchDeity’s eye, the Dark Moon Eye.

That unique and potent artifact alone was more than capable of altering the outco of any battle. Yet despite his preparedness, Cain had no intention of provoking a aningless conflict. He had co here seeking allies, not enemies.

Cain and Alucard’s eyes locked for a tense mont, each quietly assessing the other. Both gazes radiated imnse psychic strength, flas of power and majesty burning deep within their pupils. Finally, after a brief but aningful silence, Alucard calmly spoke again.

“Would you prefer we speak sowhere more private?” he asked, gesturing courteously toward his personal residence deep within the city.

The other three Prima Deities stiffened noticeably at Alucard’s offer, their eyes sharpening with suspicion and concern. Inviting a mber of the Light Races into their inner sanctum was unprecedented. Though the Eclipse School’s xenophobia wasn’t nearly as intense as that of the Golden Star Kingdom, underlying prejudices lingered strongly among its inhabitants.

Yet, after a mont’s reflection, the trio seed to realize sothing important. Within the confines of the city, their control over the situation would, in fact, be significantly stronger. Recognizing this strategic advantage, their earlier objections quickly dissipated, though their wariness remained palpable.

Cain easily read their cautious thought process even without utilizing The Flow. Nevertheless, he maintained his composure, nodding politely in agreent.

Without further hesitation, Cain and Alucard passed effortlessly through the shimring forcefield protecting the city, descending gracefully toward a tranquil residence situated amid lush greenery.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t a towering fortress nor an imposing castle but rather a spacious ho featuring a large courtyard and an exquisite garden. The entire property exuded an atmosphere of serene peace and calming tranquility, subtly affecting even Cain’s focused mind.

Just as they reached the entrance, Alucard paused abruptly, glancing sharply backward. His commanding gaze fell upon the other three Grand Elders, silently communicating a clear ssage. The trio reluctantly withdrew, though Cain could sense they lingered close enough to respond within an instant if necessary.

Continuing forward, Cain and Alucard entered the secluded residence, eventually stepping into a modest yet carefully designed room. Though its walls seem thin, they were actually incredibly resilient, expertly crafted to block perception and suppress all outside interference.

“Here, we can speak without the worry of prying ears,” Alucard stated calmly as he gracefully sat cross-legged upon the polished floor, gesturing politely for Cain to join him.

Cain nodded respectfully, settling down opposite Alucard. After a thoughtful pause, he broke the silence, allowing a small yet genuine smile to erge on his lips.

“First, allow to express my gratitude,” Cain began earnestly, sincerity evident in his tone and expression. “Without the assistance you provided against Marlin, I might not be here today.”

Cain then clasped his hands formally, lowering his head slightly—a gesture clearly showing both humility and genuine appreciation.

Alucard’s eyes widened in surprise. He’d not expected such humility from Cain Laurifer, a figure renowned for being monstrously talented, perhaps even a chosen child of destiny itself. Witnessing Cain’s genuine modesty significantly raised Alucard’s estimation of the young man.

However, Alucard soon regained his customary sharpness, his penetrating gaze intensifying as he spoke candidly.

“Let’s not deceive ourselves. My options were rather limited, considering the presence of your psychic beast embedded deep within my son’s heart.”
