Chapter 1758: Attacked when least expected

“BOOOOOOM!”

A thunderous explosion echoed across the vast, ancient forest as Cain’s fifteen-ter-tall figure tore through a gargantuan beast—a monster so massive it spanned over a thousand kiloters in length and weighed billions of tons.

Yet, despite its size and strength, the creature’s flesh, muscles, and bones offered no resistance. Cain’s Absolute Destruction True Doomsday Body pierced it like paper, ripping a gaping hole through its core.

Before the shockwave had even settled, Cain moved again—an unstoppable force of annihilation. He struck the earth with enough impact to shatter mountains, bouncing upward and slamming a ferocious punch into the chest of another towering monster.

The instant his fist connected, the beast froze, its body trembling. Then, with a violent, earth-shaking blast, its back exploded outward as the force of Cain’s strike detonated within.

Not even a second passed before sothing even more terrifying unfolded: from the wounds of the fallen creatures, waves of crimson flas erupted, igniting their flesh, consuming their blood, and growing stronger by the second.

Ordinarily, the sight of two such colossal monsters being slaughtered in the blink of an eye would have sent the rest of the horde into a frenzy of terror. But these beasts knew no fear. Their eyes were empty, void of reason, consud only by bloodlust and madness. They knew nothing of self-preservation; they existed solely to kill, destroy, and devour.

Cain smiled coldly at the raw brutality of it all. The wild, mindless nature of these creatures only fed his own rising ferocity. Without hesitation, he continued his assault.

A monster’s claw, the size of a mountain, swiped toward him with terrifying montum. But Cain, moving with impossible precision, twisted his body mid-air. His leg lashed out in a devastating counter-kick that collided with the incoming claw. The mont of contact detonated the beast’s limb—an eruption of gore and shattered bone as the claw burst like an overripe fruit.

Cain surged forward, a streaking cot of crimson fire. His flaming palms struck the head of the nearest monster, and for a brief mont, the beast’s skull seed to hold. Then, a brutal force detonated from within, shattering the bone and flooding its brain cavity with searing flas.

Without pause, without rcy, Cain tore through the horde. His every movent was a blur of destruction, an unstoppable tempest of violence. The monsters never stood a chance. They were strong, yes—but they were also mindless. Lacking the intelligence or techniques of true Pri Deities, they relied solely on brute force.

His mastery of The Flow allowed him to read their every move, predicting and countering with perfect precision. Where a skilled opponent might have used techniques, feints, or unique battle arts to create unpredictability, these monsters were little more than wild animals. Cain flashed across the battlefield like a shooting star drenched in red fla, obliterating everything in his path.

One by one, the monsters fell. Their titanic corpses collapsed in heaps, consud by the spreading inferno that Cain’s flas unleashed. The ground shook, the air vibrated, and a sense of impending doom filled the sky.

When the last beast fell, the forest was left in eerie silence. Cain hovered above the carnage, chest heaving, his breathing ragged. Waves of exhaustion washed over him, but a wide, feral grin spread across his face as he surveyed the battlefield—hundreds of colossal bodies burning beneath him, consud by the flas that fed his power.

He took a deep breath, steadying his pulse, and turned toward ylin and Bahamut, who had been watching the battle in stunned silence.

“This must have been a natural phenonon,” Cain said, voice rough with exertion but steady with confidence. “It’s likely that the sudden ergence of Pri Deities from the First Realm triggered a response—these creatures were drawn to us, or perhaps they exist to purge anomalies like us.”

ylin regarded Cain for a mont, her golden eyes narrowing in thought before she nodded softly.

“I suppose we can only bla our bad luck.”

Bahamut, though frowning, accepted their words. There was an uneasy tension in him, a sense that sothing wasn’t quite right—but trusting in Cain and ylin’s analysis, he let it pass.

“We’re alive and well. That’s all that matters,” he rumbled, his deep voice like distant thunder.

Cain and ylin nodded in agreent, seemingly satisfied for now. But Cain’s eyes glead with sothing more.

“Sothing good did co out of this.” He smiled, raising his right hand. The flas that had consud the monstrous corpses surged toward him in rivers of molten red, gathering into his palm. “I’ve absorbed an imnse amount of energy and vitality from these creatures. We can use this to nourish our bodies… and further our cultivation.”

ylin’s expression softened into a warm smile. She drifted closer to Cain and, without hesitation, wrapped her arms around him in a firm embrace.

The next instant, the Depravita’s smile vanished.

In its place blood a brutal, killing intent—sharp, suffocating, utterly rciless. Her aura erupted with a pulse of Depravita power, dark tendrils of force that exploded outward, engulfing Cain in an instant.

In a blink, he was gone—vanished without a trace.

Bahamut’s eyes widened in shock, confusion flooding his features. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words ca. He didn’t understand.

And he wasn’t the only one taken by surprise.

High above, hidden within the folds of cosmic space, a figure watched. Shrouded in a mantle of darkness woven from cosmic forces, this observer had concealed his presence flawlessly—until now. His eyes narrowed as Cain disappeared… but a heartbeat later, they widened in alarm.

For behind him, a storm of power was rising.

The sky turned blood-red. Flas surged across the heavens as the inferno from Cain’s palm fused into his arm, condensing his bones, compressing his muscles into an unbreakable lattice. Neo-Demon Aura roared to life around him, supercharged to an impossible degree, ready to detonate like a star about to go supernova.

Cain’s voice cut through the air like a divine verdict.

“Apocalypse Blast.”

His fist crashed into the back of the dark figure, and the sky detonated.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!”

The explosion was cataclysmic, a sea of red fla engulfing the heavens. The dark-cloaked figure was hurled through the sky. Though the attack had struck him point-blank, his mantle of darkness—though battered—held, absorbing much of the force.

But the assault was relentless.

Even as the figure struggled to regain control, ylin appeared before him, radiant as a star. Her golden sword blazed with overwhelming power as she slashed downward in a devastating arc.

“Pride Fall!”

A tsunami of golden force surged with her strike, crashing into the dark figure like a continent-shattering blade. His mantle crumbled beneath the sheer might, consud by the brilliance of her attack.
