His entire being felt strained to the breaking point, his consciousness flickering like a dying fla.
Cain shot one final, icy glare toward the fleeing soul of Divine Calamity as it vanished over the distant horizon. A weary sigh escaped his lips. He did not have enough remaining power to chase after his enemy, but there was still enough strength left within him for another important matter.
His cold gaze turned downward, focusing on the battlefield where the Prima Deities were still locked in deadly combat. Below him, the warriors of the Scarlet Path, led by the Sky Sovereign, radiated excitent and pride, utterly inspired by their king’s display of extraordinary power.
In contrast, those who had marched alongside the Archdeities Triumvirate stared upward with sheer terror. Cain had just demonstrated the ability to cripple or even kill an Archdeity with nothing more than a single punch or the casual flick of his finger. The re thought of fighting soone with such power paralyzed their minds, drowning them in despair.
Many considered begging for rcy, hoping that Cain would spare their lives. But before they could utter a single plea, Cain extended his fingers and swept them sharply downward.
"ZNNNNNNNN!"
The sound of an infinitely sharp blade slicing through flesh echoed across the entire battlefield. Instantly, every Prima Deity from the invading forces found themselves covered in severe, deep gashes. So wounds were so brutal that entire limbs were severed, leaving the victims collapsing in agony, unable even to scream.
These were the ones who had co to his holand to slaughter his people. They had taken Tenert’s life without hesitation.
"No rcy."
These two cold words resonated clearly in the hearts and minds of every Scarlet Path warrior. Imdiately, they surged forward, unleashing a furious assault upon their crippled adversaries. Bloodshed spread across the battlefield, creating rivers of crimson that mirrored the rciless resolve of Cain himself.
The Divine Cultivators from the invading forces resisted for re monts before panic overtook them completely, and they began fleeing the battlefield in utter chaos. Without the protection of their Archdeities, their morale shattered instantly. Warriors of the Scarlet Path pursued relentlessly, striking down any they could catch, but the number of fleeing enemies was vast, and capturing them all proved impossible.
However, the situation was vastly different for the Prima Deities, who had been gravely wounded by Cain’s earlier attack. Their injuries were so severe that they could barely move, let alone escape. Their retreat quickly turned into slaughter as Alucard and the other Prima Deities of the Scarlet Path struck them down rcilessly. Each defeated enemy’s soul and essence beca fuel, nourishing the growing power of the Scarlet Throne.
After confirming that the battle was thoroughly under control, Cain finally allowed himself a mont of relief. His entire body trembled violently, signaling that he had reached his absolute limit. With great effort, he deactivated Resurrection, and imdiately his body dispersed into billions of tiny energy particles before reforming separately into his true form and that of the Primarch of Conquest Leviathan.
Instantly, Leviathan withdrew into Cain’s Soul Dinsion, utterly drained and unable to continue fighting. Cain himself felt an overwhelming fatigue grip his body. Thankfully, Ao’s support continued flowing into him, temporarily allowing movent and clarity of mind. Yet Cain was acutely aware that once the Everlife Continent’s power left him, he would face a severe and painful backlash.
"I’ll deal with that later," Cain whispered softly, resolute despite the agony gripping him. "I still have sothing else to finish first."
Without hesitation, he turned and flew swiftly toward a distant crater where Azan, the World Breaker, lay incapacitated. Azan’s Liberación Total had long since collapsed under the devastating injuries Cain inflicted, leaving him sprawled helplessly on the ground. His once imposing form was now covered in countless deep wounds, extending all the way to his internal organs and spinal structure. rely staying conscious required every ounce of strength left in Azan’s broken body.
Seeing Cain approach, Azan weakly opened his mouth, attempting to speak—to plead for rcy or perhaps offer one last defiant word. Unfortunately for him, the Scarlet King had no interest in hearing whatever he had to say.
Without hesitation, Cain summoned the Scarlet Throne above them. Its ominous gates swung open, revealing the imnse crimson realm within, rapidly expanding as it absorbed the essence of the slain. Azan’s eyes widened in abject terror, confronted with the eternal tornt awaiting him. Yet he was utterly powerless, unable even to end his own life before Cain’s rciless justice was delivered.
With a silent gesture from Cain, Azan’s defeated body rose helplessly, hurtling upward until the Scarlet Throne swallowed him whole.
"BOOM!"
Instantly, a surge of invigorating life-force and spiritual power flooded into Cain’s weary body. Despite Azan’s grievous injuries, his essence as a Middle Archdeity was extraordinarily potent. Absorbing that imnse life force rapidly nourished Cain, easing so of Resurrection’s excruciating backlash.
Wasting no further ti, Cain ascended again into the sky, swiftly traveling toward another distant landmark. Before long, he arrived at the edge of the vast Golden Lake, its shimring waters spreading majestically below him.
A nostalgic smile tugged at Cain’s lips as he gazed upon the golden liquid. He vividly rembered his first desperate journey here, back when he was rely a Divine Cultivator, struggling fiercely against powerful Divine Transcendence Masters. He had barely survived that encounter, yet now he stood confidently at the pinnacle of power, able to annihilate everything before him effortlessly.
For a brief mont, Cain allowed himself the luxury of reflecting on his long and arduous path. But soon, he shook his head, dismissing idle thoughts. Without hesitation, he dove into the golden lake.
Monts later, the battered, broken body of an Atrox exploded upward from the lake’s depths, launched high into the air. Marcus, the Lord of the Last Step, was in far worse condition than even Azan. With a massive hole carved brutally through his chest and all his internal organs shattered beyond recognition, Marcus was utterly helpless as the Scarlet Throne manifested nacingly above him.
His eyes, filled with dread, could only watch as the throne’s gates opened to consu him.
With Marcus’s existence extinguished, Cain released a deep breath of satisfaction. Victory had co at an imnse cost, but he stood undefeated, victorious over all who dared oppose him.
His triumph was absolute.
