The void shook with fury.
All around them, thirty-three suns ignited at once-each one blazing with the might of a Half-Step Alpha-Oga Overgod's strike. The light was blinding, searing even to divine eyes.
Alita and Elder Oni froze for an instant, their hearts pounding. Fear crept into even their disciplined souls. The heat pressing against them was unbearable, the energy so thick it distorted space itself.
Why had the teors suddenly transford into suns? What force had awakened this fury within the void?
There was no ti to wonder. If they hesitated, they would be reduced to ash.
But before either of them could act, Cain stepped forward.
His entire body erupted in a golden light that filled the void like a sunrise blooming across eternity. The seventh petal of the lotus on his forehead opened fully, its brilliance radiant enough to cast golden reflections across the drifting suns.
His eyes-burning twin stars-glowed with an intensity neither Alita nor Oni had ever witnessed.
Cain moved.
He didn't roar or summon a technique; he simply reached out and touched one of the approaching suns with his fingertips.
The mont his hand brushed the burning surface, the star swerved. It shot to the side with greater speed than before, veering off its course to crash into another.
But instead of annihilating each other in a cosmic explosion, the two diverged-their impact redirected in perfect harmony, sending ripples of resonance through the void.
Alita and Oni stared, stunned beyond words.
To divert a single teor required imnse control. But to redirect one burning sun, and then have that collision divert another, and another beyond it-that was mastery on a level they could scarcely comprehend.
And it didn't stop there.
Each redirected sun struck another, and that one struck a third, then a fourth-until the chain reaction swept across all thirty-three. Under the astonished gaze of his companions, the cascade of solar bodies arced away, one after another, their paths bending like notes in a divine symphony.
In seconds, the apocalyptic storm that had threatened to consu them was gone.
The suns curved outward, forming a spiral of light that wrapped the void in golden threads, leaving the trio untouched in the calm center.
Then, the light shifted again.
The suns froze in place, pulsing as if alive. Slowly, they began to shrink, collapsing into radiant points no larger than sparks. One by one, those golden fragnts drifted toward Cain, converging above his head.
The thirty-three sparks arranged themselves into a constellation-a pattern so intricate it seed alive, like a celestial map.
The mont Alita and Oni looked upon it, awe consud them. The constellation radiated not just beauty, but aning-an ancient rhythm of creation that tugged at their souls. For a mont, they felt themselves drawn toward it, unable to look away.
Then the constellation flashed-and vanished, sinking into Cain's being.
Golden light surged through him, racing down his spine, burrowing into the depths of his soul. Inside, he saw it descend into the core of
his True Na, fusing with it in a burst of transcendent fire.
For an instant, his vision turned black.
Then ca the flood.
An ocean of knowledge and insight poured into him-principles of existence, patterns of The Flow. The torrent of enlightennt threatened to tear his mind apart, yet Cain endured, his spirit anchoring itself to the rhythm of creation itself.
The golden light in his eyes deepened until it beca almost solid,
dense as molten gold.
When he finally spoke, his voice was calm but resonant with newfound power.
"Thirty-Three Stars."
The words echoed across the void, carrying the weight of revelation.
The constellation had engraved upon his True Na a new Flow Art- a technique that embodied the very principles of Synchronization and Divergence. Its essence was both simple and imasurably profound: to weaponize those forces, to strike the Flow Points-the invisible junctions where life force and soul force intersect within all beings.
It was a thod to reshape reality itself.
The sheer magnitude of the knowledge left Cain trembling. His consciousness reeled from the imnsity of what he now
understood.
After several monts, he steadied himself. There would be ti later
to unravel the depths of this art. For now, survival ca first.
He glanced at Alita and Oni and gave a sharp nod. "We move."
The others, still dazed by what they had witnessed, obeyed without question. They advanced again, following his lead.
Cain guided them through the storm of remnants with ease. What had once been perilous now felt effortless-each teor that neared
him veered away as though obeying his unspoken command. He allowed more of them to reach Alita and Oni, helping them refine their own control while he stabilized the greater flow.
Every clash, every adjustnt honed their synchronization further.
Months passed in that endless void.
By the ti they had spent what felt like a full year within the Second Ring, the scenery changed once more.
Before them lood a titanic gate, dwarfing all they had seen before. It was a circular structure of burning light, its surface encased in countless streams of plasma that spiraled toward a blinding core. The air around it shimred with unbearable heat and energy.
Just looking upon it made their eyes sting.
Cain studied the gate in silence, then stepped forward. As his palm touched the glowing surface, the ancient voice returned, echoing through their souls.
"Solve the Gate of Thirty-Three Suns to enter the Third of the Nine Rings-the Twofold March: Harmony of Crown & Company." Cain withdrew his hand, golden eyes narrowing in comprehension.
"In the Gate of Thirty-Three Songs," he said, "we had to align the frequencies and connect them. Here, the challenge is different. We must divert the thirty-three solar streams that converge in the gate's core-and keep them apart. If even one remains within, the gate will
not open."
Alita and Oni exchanged uneasy glances.
Diverting a stream of solar plasma wasn't the problem-they could each handle one or two. But maintaining all thirty-three simultaneously, without a single lapse in focus? That bordered on the
impossible.
Cain saw their hesitation but remained calm. "We'll rest first. Thirty minutes. Restore your souls and minds completely. We'll need every
ounce of strength for this."
They nodded at once.
When they reopened their eyes, serenity and resolve replaced their exhaustion. Golden and azure light shimred faintly around their
forms.
Cain looked between them, his tone steady but commanding. "I'll take streams one through twenty-five. Alita, you'll handle twenty-six to thirty. Elder Oni-you'll take thirty-one, thirty-two, and thirty-three." The difference in share was vast, but neither protested. They knew Cain's capacity dwarfed their own, and even with their smaller tasks, they would still require his guidance.
