What Cain, Alita, and Oni saw in the Stellar Crucible was sothing vast and otherworldly.

The ground was a field of black crystal, a mirror-smooth surface of obsidian so deep that it seed to drink all light. Above them was not a normal sky but a living do, a vault of darkness studded with slow-pulsing stars. It was a perfect starry night, each star radiating its own rhythm and voice.

As the trio gazed upward, a sense of awe washed over them. The stars were unlike anything they had seen before. So burned with the searing intensity of suns, others humd with tones like ancient bells. Each one was distinct, each one alive.

Cain turned his head toward his companions. Alita and Oni t his gaze and nodded silently. Together, they stepped forward.

The mont they crossed the threshold, the gate behind them sealed with a sound like shattering glass.

Then the do above them breathed.

The air vibrated; the stars pulsed faster. In the next instant, entire constellations fractured and fell apart, scattering like shards of light. Under their astonished gazes, several of those stars tore free from the do and plunged downward, crashing into the crystalline ground ahead. Each impact was a burst of blinding radiance - beauty and danger entwined.

Cain narrowed his eyes, studying the falling lights. His senses extended, brushing against their frequency within the Flow. Each star carried its own rhythm, its own pulse of energy, chaotic yet alive. "Wait here," he said calmly.

Without hesitation, he advanced toward the field of falling stars. A luminous streak descended in his direction. Cain raised his right

hand, golden energy enveloping it in a mantle of Divergence the sa technique that had deflected teors.

But the instant the star made contact, its frequency shifted. The rhythm changed faster than thought, neutralizing his energy. The star exploded upon impact, releasing a wave of force that blasted him backward through the air.

Cain struck the ground, sliding across the obsidian floor for dozens of ters before regaining his balance. His hand trembled faintly, but no serious harm had been done.

"As I expected," he murmured. "Divergence won't work here. The instant I touch them, their frequency adapts. I have to neutralize them through direct contact - no separation, no barrier."

His gaze lifted once more to the starry do. Slowly, understanding dawned across his features.

"The Fourth Ring," he said softly, "is Redirection."

His heart quickened with anticipation. Redirection - the art of receiving and transforming energy through harmony, not opposition. It was one of the most profound aspects of the Flow, the last one he had mastered.

Cain clenched his fists, excitent gleaming in his golden eyes. Until now, each Ring had drawn upon principles he already knew. But after this ring lay uncharted territory.

In the next Ring awaited the secret of weaponizing the Flow itself - of letting it course through one's being freely, as an extension of will. However, he did not let his throgut wander since to reach the Fifth Ring, he had to survive the fourth.

He exhaled slowly, grounding himself in the mont. Understanding the principle was not the sa as overcoming its trial. He rembered how close he had co to annihilation in the Second Ring, when the Thirty-Three Suns nearly consud him. Overconfidence could be fatal.

Flexing his right hand, Cain rose to his feet and strode forward once more, placing himself beneath the field of falling stars.

He looked back at Alita and Oni. "The first step," he said, "is Perception."

The duo imdiately silenced their thoughts, focusing entirely on his words.

A star plumted toward him, its light screaming across the sky. Cain took a deep breath. His aura flared - golden, serene.

"Perception," he said again, his voice calm. "Feel its rhythm. Sense its unique frequency through the Flow."

As the star neared, his senses expanded, mapping every oscillation of

its energy.

"Next is Attunent."

The energy within Cain's body began to shift. Every current, every particle of his essence synchronized to the sa frequency as the falling star. His body no longer opposed it - it harmonized with it.

"Then cos Acceptance."

Cain extended his left hand. His index and middle fingers reached forward, eting the descending star. He did not resist; he did not shield himself. There was no barrier between flesh and light.

When the star touched him, it did not explode. Instead, it vanished - absorbed into his being, its energy flowing through his arm like liquid

fire.

"Now," Cain whispered, "Transmutation."

He guided the energy downward into his core, where it spiraled

through his stomach - cleansing itself of form and intention,

transforming into pure, neutral energy.

Finally, he raised his right hand, his voice echoing softly through the

ring.

"Release."

A burst of radiant energy shot from his palm, striking another oncoming star, and dissolved into silence.

Alita and Oni stood frozen, their eyes wide with awe. Watching him, they began to understand. Thanks to the visible principles saturating the air and Cain's living demonstration, they gained their first glimpse of Redirection shallow yet real, a foundation upon which mastery could grow.

While they ditated on what they had seen, Cain continued to

refine his control. Dozens of stars descended upon him, each unique in rhythm and resonance. With every impact, he moved more fluidly - receiving, transforming, releasing - until his movents beca a seamless dance between destruction and creation.

Despite his skill, he knew this was only the beginning, and the further he advanced, the more danger he would face.

Days passed. Then weeks.

For Alita and Oni, progress ca slowly. Redirection demanded not

only strength but complete surrender - the willingness to let the Flow move through one's being without resistance. Fear, pride, or doubt would instantly break the harmony.

A month later, their hearts and minds finally aligned.

Cain nodded approvingly as they stepped forward into the field of

falling stars.

The two extended their hands. One star after another descended -

brilliant, terrible. Alita closed her eyes and breathed deeply, letting its light enter her arm, flow through her abdon, and out her other hand in a burst of cleansing energy. Oni followed, his movents heavier but steady, his soul vibrating with effort and focus.

Cain walked ahead of them, facing the greatest torrent of descending stars. His form moved with serene grace, each gesture redirecting the heavens themselves.

ter by ter, the trio advanced across the field of fire and light. Through Redirection, they were no longer rely resisting the storm. They had beco part of it.
