Cain lost himself in the endless principles that flooded the Solar Crucible, letting his mind drift into the current of the Flow.
It began as a spark - a fleeting thought - but it grew stronger, deeper, more radiant the more he surrendered to it. After seven days of ditation, he finally opened his eyes. Enlightennt flickered across them like lightning.
He could see it now - the golden current that connected all things. It wove through the air, through the stars, through the very atoms of creation. It was the pulse that made the movent of a single particle ripple across galaxies.
Cain extended his hand and felt the current brushing against his skin, disturbed by the smallest motion of his fingers. The ripples spread outward, rging with the greater sea of energy that flowed through the universe.
"I need to let the current move inside ," he murmured. "To beco part of it and let it beco part of ."
The light in his eyes brightened as understanding dawned.
"I must erase the barrier between myself and the Flow's Light... but how?"
He searched his mory, recalling the path of the Enlightened One - how that figure had dissolved the self entirely, emptying mind and soul until there was no resistance left against the Light. That was one way, yes but it was not the way.
As Cain's insight deepened, he understood: the architect of the Fifth Ring had not ant for the Flow to be conquered through emptiness, but through integration. The truth was inscribed across the sky, carved in the molten ground, and written within the solar flares
themselves. To master it, he would have to dive into it, embrace it completely, and unravel its mysteries from within.
Days beca weeks as he searched for the answer, but no matter how hard he worked, he continued to fail.
But then, a flash of realization crossed his mind.
"First was Synchronization, which allowed to understand the rhythm and vibration of all living things. Then, through it, I refined Divergence and Resonance, and later achieved Redirection. Each Aspect built upon the previous one. Maybe the key has been there all along."
Cain inhaled deeply and centered himself.
He began once more with Synchronization, opening his senses to the frequencies that pulsed through the Crucible. The deeper he listened, the more he perceived - vibrations within vibrations, harmonies beneath chaos - until he almost touched the rhythm of the Flow itself. Yet sothing still stood in his way.
A sudden gleam of light crossed his eyes. He invoked Resonance.
At once, the world seed to sing, as he perceived vibration and the spiritual frequency. Through that union, Cain began to understand - not in words, but in essence. He now perceived the Light of the Flow in its most basic, living form.
"Now," he whispered, "let it flow through ."
He called upon Divergence. The golden currents that drifted around him shifted, bending toward his body. Streams of cosmic light entered his form and agony followed.
It was as though a thousand suns had poured into his veins. His flesh burned. His spirit trembled beneath the unbearable weight of the universe. The light surged through him without order, threatening to tear him apart.
But Cain did not falter. He turned to the next Aspect - Redirection.
Guided by its principles, he began to lead the Light, not command it. However, he did not lose himself in Redirection. He didn't try to cleanse or restrain it - only to guide it gently from one point to another.
The Flow entered through his left arm, rising to his shoulder, then descending through his lungs and kidneys, crossing through his core. From there, it traveled down his left leg, spiraling through muscle and bone before rising once more. It coursed through his liver, his right kidney, his right lung, and ascended toward his armpit, then flowed down his right arm, returning again to the shoulder, then into his head through the brain - before looping back into the left shoulder and out through the sa path it had entered.
When the cycle was completed, Cain nearly collapsed. A wave of exhaustion crushed him, leaving his limbs trembling and his vision dim. Yet despite the pain, a wide smile spread across his face.
He had succeeded.
For a fleeting instant, the Flow had truly coursed through his body- not as an external force, but as part of him. He had beco the
current.
"Only a mont," he whispered, "but enough. Now I just need to strengthen it... until it happens naturally."
He closed his eyes, retracing the process, reflecting on the journey that had led him here.
"So the key was always the sa to rely on the first four Aspects to reach the fifth."
But Cain knew it wasn't so simple. Even if soone had given him the principles of the fifth Aspect before entering the Sacred Dinsion, it wouldn't have been enough. His success was only possible because he had remastered every previous Aspect - Synchronization, Divergence, Resonance, and Redirection - within the crucible of the earlier Rings.
Only that depth of mastery allowed him to survive this one.
He exhaled slowly, centering his breathing. No more doubts. No more questions. There was only rhythm and motion - the pulse of the Flow moving through the cosmos and through himself.
Cain synchronized once more. His heartbeat matched the vibration of
the golden light. The rhythm of his breath aligned with the pulse of the universe. He opened his senses, feeling the Flow gather around
him, humming with infinite life.
Then, with deliberate grace, he guided it inward. The current entered
him like sunlight flowing into glass - effortless, radiant, alive. It circulated more easily this ti, tracing its luminous path through every organ, every nerve, every breath.
The process still demanded imnse focus, and he could not perform it without preparations, but he was advancing. It was not easy, but he was improving.
"Practice makes perfect!" The Neo-Demon smiled as he continued to advance.
