The muscular abomination glanced at the trio with a coldness that carried a buried flash of rage. His voice rumbled through the broken void like a seismic current. "Emprik. Kukulkatz. Zarin. Explain yourselves. How could you allow the Heart to suffer this much damage?"
The three Champions of the Root stiffened imdiately. None dared raise their eyes to et his. Their dread only deepened at the sound of his voice, the tremor of fury inside it. Even Kukulkatz, who had reached the battlefield full of arraonace and even looking down on Emprik, remained perfectly still, head lowered.
That was more than enough to make it clear that the Champion of The Root and the new entity were in a completely different league. The abomination's muscles coiled, twisting and tightening as if the Root itself breathed through him.
"You forced to awaken ahead of ti," he said, each word pressed with restrained scorn. "When this is over, you will answer for this mistake."
The fear on their faces intensified. Not a single one attempted to defend themselves. Not a single excuse crossed their lips. Before they could muster even a hint of justification, the High Lord of the Root finally shifted his attention.
His gaze fell upon Cain-and the Deus Behemoth standing at a distance. He analyzed the power of the duo for a second before speaking.
"Handle the one with lightning," Godfrey commanded, the air vibrating with the weight of his authority. "I will take the other!"
The abomination's eyes burned, glowing with a ruthless light and power that made all three Champions tremble. "Fail again, and there will be no next ti."
"Yes, High Lord Godfrey!" they shouted in unison, fear sharpening their voices into sothing brittle and desperate.
In the next instant, they flashed toward the Deus Behemoth like three living cots, trails of Root-infused power carving lines through the fractured void.
The Deus Behemoth reacted imdiately. His stance tightened, his energy detonating outward as he set his focus entirely upon his enemies. With a single sweep of his spear, he unleashed a vast ocean of lightning. The surge rolled across the void like a storm-tide, crashing directly into the trio.
The wave forced Emprik and Zarin back, sparks scattering off their bodies. Yet the last one still managed to fire a rod of decay toward the Deus Behemoth. The Behemoth's strength surged through his limbs as he struck the rod head-on, blasting it apart before it could detonate.
Yet he was far from safe as Kukulkatz was already upon him. Orange flas erupted around the Champion, and he fired a cannon of pure destruction that engulfed the space where the Deus Behemoth had been an instant prior.
For a heartbeat, Kukulkatz believed he had struck true.
Then a lightning arc appeared behind him.
The Deus Behemoth's spear struck, piercing the void and forcing Kukulkatz to raise an arm to shield himself. The blow hurled him through the shattered emptiness, but he soon stabilized his descent, orange flas wreathing his figure once more.
"He's fast-unbelievably fast," Kukulkatz growled, shaking the numbness from his arm. "But his physical strength is lacking. Be cautious of his spells and we'll handle him."
Emprik and Zarin nodded grimly and reentered the fray.
Lightning, flas, decay, and sundering force filled the battlefield in a storm of power. From the corner of his vision, Cain saw the chaotic
struggle-three Champions fighting with the desperation of cornered beasts against the relentless fury of the Deus Behemoth.
"He is fast." Although the Scarlet King did not have a good impression of the Deus Behemoth, he did not deny his power.
But Cain could not spare another mont to watch.
The pressure emanating from High Lord Godfrey was suffocating- far, far beyond anything he had endured before. Not even a Bradly, an Early Alpha-Oga Overgod Neo Angel, had made him feel so utterly outmatched.
Once again, he stood before an enemy whose power eclipsed the entirety of his past challenges. And worse, the cosmic rules radiating from Godfrey were deeper than Cain's mastery over the Flow-far deeper, ancient and overwhelming.
There was no ti to think.
No ti to plan.
A tendril burst from the Heart of the Root behind Godfrey, piercing into the back of his head. The mont it connected, Godfrey flashed toward Cain with a movent so violent the void trembled.
Cain had tempered his body into a bulwark stronger than even Early Alpha-Oga Overgods' treasures, yet he still felt his instincts
scream.
He hurled himself aside with every ounce of power he could muster.
"CRACK!"
The sound of reality shattering bood across existence. Cain's eyes widened-Godfrey's punch had torn open the fabric of the void as if it were fragile glass.
The sheer physical strength was unthinkable.
Impossible.
And yet undeniable.
But even through his shock, Cain never dropped his guard. He
countered instantly, his fist blasting forward and striking Godfrey
directly in the ribs.
"BOOOOM."
An explosion erupted inside Godfrey's body, the force tearing through him from within and detonating outward. The blast repeated multiple tis, a chain of internal ruptures tearing through muscles, fibers, and matter.
But when the shockwave faded, Godfrey remained standing.
And worse-he was growing.
His muscles twitched, swelled, and thickened, fibers multiplying and
bulging as his strength escalated with terrifying speed.
"He grows stronger from damage." The realization barely ford in Cain's thoughts before Godfrey struck.
The High Lord's forearm slamd into Cain with overwhelming force, sending him spiraling through the void like a teor.
Cain clenched his teeth as he felt several bones tremble dangerously. The High Lord's raw physical strength was beyond monstrous. And if not for the evolution of the Eclipse Monolith Inheritance, every bone of his body would have shattered.
Godfrey did not give him a second to recover. He flashed forward again, his right fist swelling even larger-denser, heavier, more lethal— ready to crush the Scarlet King in a single blow.
But just as Godfrey's fist neared Cain, a golden figure appeared.
A blinding explosion of golden radiance tore through the void, the
force so imnse it halted Godfrey's montum and hurled him backward.
