Cain appeared in the Golden Hall alongside Anark and the rest of the powerhouses of the Scarlet Kingdom. The instant their figures materialized, their auras surged outward, imdiately drawing the attention of every cultivator present.
None drew more attention than the Scarlet King. Many had been waiting for the Warmaster's return, and as they felt his new power, hope filled their hearts, causing their eyes to glow with a scarlet light.
Before anyone could even approach the group, however, Cain had already left the hall.
He moved with decisive strides, marching straight toward the World of the Root.
For the past several years, the World of the Root had been declared at prohibited zone. No one was allowed to enter-not even the superpowerhouses of the Six Races, nor Anark himself. The reason was simple and absolute: no one knew what kind of danger awaited inside.
Testing the enemy blindly carried too great a risk.
Losing even a single powerful warrior could tip the balance of the
war.
Cain, however, did not share that limitation.
His body was the strongest in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, and with the Samsara Runic Set, he could resurrect from a single drop of blood if necessary. Of course, danger still existed-but fortune favored the brave.
The Golden Hall, a stronghold forged by the Will of the Universe, was positioned in such a way that one could fly directly toward the World of the Root. It did not take long before Cain and the others reached the void near the enemy's domain.
Cain raised his hand.
Everyone imdiately stopped.
Taking a deep breath, Cain advanced alone, moving ahead of the others. As his gaze settled on the colossal Wall of Fire and Flesh surrounding the World of the Root, his expression turned solemn.
"The wall surrounding the World of the Root is not only defensive," Cain said calmly, his senses probing its depths. "It corrupts anything it touches."
His eyes narrowed slightly as he perceived the danger more clearly. "Direct blows will pollute my flesh. Spells will only serve as fuel."
Despite the complexity of the threat, a faint smile soon appeared on Cain's face. He shifted into a ditative stance as the Wings of Chaos glowed behind him.
In the next instant, they trembled.
Countless invisible threads manifested around him.
Instead of summoning the power of the Matrix, which would have placed an overwhelming burden on his soul, Cain connected with the people behind him. As the Warmasters of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance, countless beings regarded him as the supre leader against the Root-a position that only the Demon King had held in the Crimson World.
Through those connections, his power began to rise higher and higher.
Until finally, his wings shone like miniature suns.
"Chaos of Gluttony: All-Devouring Eye."
Using both his own power and that of everyone he could connect with through the Power of Chaos, a massive eye manifested behind him-its size comparable to a moon. Instead of eyelids, it bore rows of jagged teeth, and from it emanated a devouring force so imnse that even the void itself seed to tremble.
When the cultivators present saw it, dread crept into their hearts.
They could instinctively feel that this power could consu their bodies, souls, and minds in a single heartbeat.
In the next second, massive tendrils erged from the All-Devouring Eye and latched onto the Wall of Fire and Flesh surrounding the World of the Root.
Imdiately, the wall attempted to corrupt them-to twist them with the Power of the Root.
But the Power of Chaos proved superior.
The tendrils shivered violently as they consud both fire and flesh, channeling everything they devoured back into the moon-like eye. More and more figures appeared in the void as the process continued.
Amara.
Cipher.
Zephirax.
Arkam.
Uriel.
The leaders of the other five Empyrean Worlds that forge the Alliance, along with the Everstrife Empyrean World.
They all arrived in the void, their eyes widening in awe and disbelief as they witnessed the Scarlet King wounding the Wall of Fire and Flesh-sothing none of them had ever been able to achieve.
For an entire hour, the All-Devouring Eye continued consuming the flas and flesh.
Until finally, Cain's eyes twitched.
He stopped.
The tendrils slowly withdrew. Although that sector of the wall had been greatly thinned, it still remained. Attempting to cross it now
would have been far too dangerous.
Just as everyone thought the devouring had failed, Cain opened his eyes fully and revealed a radiant smile. He pointed his hand toward
the wall and uttered a single word.
"Fire."
The All-Devouring Eye glowed intensely as all the power and energy it had consud condensed at once-before being unleashed in the form of a massive, scarlet blast.
The beam surged through the void and crashed into the Wall of Fire and Flesh with cataclysmic force.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A massive scarlet explosion lit up the void, spreading its might across unimaginable distances. When the light finally subsided, everyone could see it clearly-
A gigantic hole had been blasted through the Wall of Fire and Flesh.
Beyond it lay the surface of the World of the Root.
The mont the warriors laid eyes on it, disgust and loathing filled their hearts. It was an abomination-a total disgrace to what had once been one of the Nine Empyrean Worlds.
The very essence of their origins and nature made their hearts burn
with hatred.
All of those emotions flowed directly into Cain through the Power of
Chaos.
Without hesitation, he extended his hand.
A Zero-State Spear appeared.
Entropy and Nihility rged seamlessly within it, further enhanced
by the Power of Chaos, carrying with it the hatred and rage of the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.
"Stop!"
A voice filled with overwhelming might and authority erupted from
deep within the World of the Root, shouting toward Cain.
The Scarlet King's smile only widened.
With all his strength, he hurled the spear.
It struck the surface of the world- And detonated, blasting entire continents apart.
