Cain cultivated peacefully within the Ocean of the Blood Sun.
The massacre he had carried out in the capital of the Heartcram Kingdom did not disturb his mind in the slightest. After all, he had killed far more for far lesser reasons in the past.
The Power of Chaos connected him to others, but that did not an he cherished every life-far from it. What it truly granted him was the ability to form deep, genuine bonds with the few people he truly cared about.
When it ca to the Blutlinie race, however, there was nothing in Cain's heart but cold indifference.
Even those who had done nothing against him received the sa rciless treatnt. The reason was simple.
Nature.
The people of the Crimson World could form bonds with the inhabitants of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe. They could coexist. But the people of Paradise were different.
A Blutlinie could never truly bond with mbers of the Six Sacred Races.
If they ever reach the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, they would only see food or slaves. Nothing more.
This was not rely cultural.
It was biological. Psychological. Instinctive.
It was impossible for a Blutlinie to genuinely intertwine their existence with that of the Six Sacred Races.
That was why Cain had never allowed himself to form any true connection with them.
The only ones he trusted here were his Royal Guards.
Everyone else was either a tool-or a future enemy.
Harsh as it sounded, even Blutlinie viewed their own families that way.
With a calm heart and a perfectly focused mind, Cain imrsed himself fully in cultivation.
His primary attention was divided between the Chronos Cultivation Technique and the Savitar Technique.
For Chronos, external supplentation would eventually be possible through the consumption of other Blutlinie souls. However, before reaching that stage, he first needed to develop his own understanding and domain of the On of Ti.
Ons existed on a level above Oniric Truth. Unlike static laws, Ons could evolve and grow on their own. Only beings with at least an ArchDeity-level soul were normally capable of perceiving and interacting with them.
Fortunately for Cain, both the Power of Chaos and his connection to the Flow allowed him to harmonize with the surrounding universe. This dramatically increased the speed of his comprehension, pushing it to an astonishing level.
At the sa ti, another portion of his consciousness focused on refining his physical body.
The Savitar Technique was direct but extraordinarily demanding. It required the restructuring of the bonds between atoms, allowing the particles within each cell to reach a transcendent state of excitation.
The process demanded imnse understanding-as well as vast quantities of vitality and life force.
Luckily, Cain possessed both.
He had already harvested enormous reserves of vitality from the Blutlinie of the Kalos and Aztrous Kingdoms. Now, the energy absorbed from the Heartcram capital further expanded his reserves,
allowing him to push the refinent process even further.
While Cain cultivated with absolute focus, his Royal Guards were doing the sa.
Each of them pushed their bodies and souls to their limits, using every resource available to evolve as quickly as possible.
The Dark Blood Kingdom had already sent an assassin after them. Although Cain had dealt with that threat personally, none of them believed it would be the last move made by that power.
And now they had also provoked the Heartcram Kingdom. That conflict had been unavoidable. The mont the ice trio had stepped into Cain's path, the outco had been decided.
In Paradise, such encounters always ended in blood. Had he just backed down, the people of the Heartcram Kingdom would have already attacked the Ocena of the Blood Sun because they would see him as prey that would not fight back.
The oceanic creatures under Cain's command continued their work. They expanded the Ocean of the Blood Sun steadily, absorbing
energy and spreading its crimson waters.
The sea had already grown large enough to begin covering the ruined remains of Kalos City.
Ti passed.
Four months after the destruction of Heartcram's capital, Cain finally
opened his eyes.
A wondrous light shone within them as a new power began to
emanate from his soul.
"The On of Ti."
A wide smile appeared on his face.
Closing his eyes again, Cain turned his awareness inward.
Under the laws of Paradise, a Blutlinie's soul manifested as a vast,
radiant sea of luminous particles contained within the brain. It was majestic and golden, a boundless ocean of spiritual light.
Now, sothing new had appeared within that sea.
A phantom figure slowly took shape.
It resembled a massive winged wolf.
This was the taphysical manifestation of Cain's control and understanding of the On of Ti. The creature moved gracefully within his soul, absorbing temporal energy and continuously refining his spiritual foundation.
The presence of this On Phantom ant that Cain had successfully reached the Rudintary Understanding stage of the
On of Ti.
"And that ans I can finally use the signature ability of the Chronos
Technique."
Excitent flickered in his eyes.
Channeling the power of the winged wolf, Cain condensed temporal
energy within the depths of his soul.
Soon, a strange fla ignited.
This was the core ability of the Chronos Cultivation Technique-the
Chrono Fla.
Now, Cain could feed the souls of other Blutlinie into this fla,
allowing it to grow stronger. As it evolved, his understanding and authority over the On of Ti would deepen accordingly. Of course, this was not the only way to strengthen an On.
Due to their nature, Ons could also evolve by absorbing and integrating the understanding of other Ons.
That was exactly what Cain did next.
Drawing upon the inheritance and accumulated insights contained
within the Ocean of the Blood Sun, he infused those fragnts into
his On of Ti. Inside his soul, the winged wolf began to change.
Its body grew larger and more defined. Its claws sharpened. Additional wings erged along its back, each one radiating faint temporal fluctuations.
These transformations were not rely symbolic.
They were direct manifestations of the growth of Cain's On of
Ti.
As the phantom evolved, Cain felt his control over temporal energy expand dramatically. He could now guide the flow of ti through his own blood, accelerating internal processes and dramatically
increasing his speed and reaction.
"Excellent."
Cain nodded with satisfaction, a confident smile spreading across his
face.
Then his expression shifted.
He lifted his gaze toward the distance.
Through the Ocean of the Blood Sun, he could already feel it-
multiple powerful auras approaching at high speed.
The pressure they carried was imnse.
Dangerous.
Cain stood slowly, scarlet energy beginning to circulate around him.
"I evolved just in ti."
