"SHHHH!"
The next second, Simur heard the sound of a blade cutting flesh, and he felt his head drop to the ground, only for his body to follow along.
"¡AHHHHHHHHH!"
Simur scread in pain as he crawled away from the Scarlet King while desperately touching his neck. He could calm down after a few seconds and understood he had not suffered any actual injury. It was all so sort of illusion.
The Scarlet King only smiled as he waved his hand, making the saber vanish as two Atrox with special armor entered the hall. One was Damos, the Marshal he t when he reached Evernight, while the other was a Peak Wave King who imdiately headed toward Marian.
"My Lady, who did this to you?"
The Peak Wave King seed to be related to Marian and must have co to this place after the young woman triggered so type of silent rescue signal.
Marian's mind was still foggy as the slap had caused a severe concussion, but she clenched her teeth as she pointed her finger toward Cain.
"It was that mutt. Break that beast's arms!"
The Peak Wave King turned toward the Scarlet King, and his eyes burned with rage as he intended to do exactly what the young woman asked.
The Scarlet King saw the killing intent in the Peak Wave King, but his smile did not fade. Even if he had yet to reach his previous peak, a Wave King could not threaten him. Besides, he was sure that a fight would not happen.
"Enough!"
Before things could escalate further, Damos shouted, using his imnse power to freeze everybody's movent as his Ego Wave inundated the hall.
"Today's gala has ended. Everybody leave now and return to your hos."
"What, how can he leave without punishnt after attacking ? Uncle, do sothing."
Marian shouted with rage and frustration as she turned to the Peak Wave King beside her.
"Marshal Damos."
A complicated expression appeared on the Peak Wave King's face as he glanced at the Marshal. He knew that when Damos said sothing, it would be the end of it, but he could not just allow soone to harm mbers of his family.
"I will thoroughly investigate today's events and discover how all this happened. Once that is clear, I will make sure punishnt lands on the right person."
Damos' voice was cold as he uttered those words, and he glanced between Marian and the young Atrox woman with the golden book. He was aware of their families' relationship and was sure that soone like Kain would not have simply attacked Marian without a good reason.
Marian clenched her fists as she heard that, but she could do nothing since even her father was not powerful enough to push around a Marshal of Evernight.
The Scarlet King nodded to Damos before turning back to the young Atrox woman with a radiant smile.
"I wonder if you would like to accompany you back ho."
The young Atrox woman was surprised by everything that had just happened. If it were anyone else, she would have refused the invitation, but she felt that saying no would be a great mistake, so in the end, she just nodded.
"My na is Astrid."
"Happy to finally catch your na, Astrid. I am Kain."
With that, the Scarlet King and the young Atrox woman left the hall and went silently to the teleportation formation in the main plaza. Normally, they would take another formation to shorten the distance back to Astrid's ho, but the Scarlet King had other plans.
"I wonder, Astrid, what would you say if we walked to your ho."
Astrid stared at the Scarlet King for a mont, and in the end, she nodded again. It did not take long for them to move away from the most populated area and begin to make their way to what seed to be an impressive castle in the distance.
Only once they were away from the eyes of strangers did the Scarlet King break the silence.
"I assu you must be wondering what sort of interest I have in you."
Astrid did not say a word, and she only stared at the Scarlet King with equal parts suspicion and expectation.
"I don't know anything about your background, nor do I understand your condition quite well. What drew to you was that golden book."
The Scarlet King did not hide his intention from the woman, and as expected, Astrid imdiately took a step away and held the book tightly against her chest.
Once he saw the woman's reaction, the Scarlet King only smiled before raising his hand. The next second, a small sphere with a fla the size of a fist glowing with nine different colors appeared.
All the suspicion in Astrid's eyes faded as she saw that fla, and she imdiately approached it, standing so close to the Scarlet King that they nearly collided.

"That is a 9 Revolution Fla!"
Astrid could barely believe her eyes as she turned toward the Scarlet King with utter excitent and thrill.
"You are an Enhancer, a Tribulation Enhancer!"
The Scarlet King saw the excitent in the young woman's eyes, but he shook his head.
"I am sorry to disappoint you, but I am not. My Master handed this over. He said I have so innate talent for Enhancent and gave this with a mission. Find its true nature, learn to make one on my own, and then perform a refinent of a biological body. Only then would he teach his secrets."
Astrid's eyes lost so excitent when she heard that Kain was not a Tribulation Enhancer. Still, it ca back when she heard about this so-called Master and how he could generate Refinent Flas beyond the 9 Revolutions.
The Scarlet King noticed the young woman could not take her eyes off the sphere and continued.
"There are around two hours until we reach your ho. How about if I allow you to inspect the 9 Revolution Fla, and you lend the golden book?"
