"Exactly, help."

Blake walked past Hilia into the room and said:

"I rember your array is quite impressive, co help us out, the school’s array seems to be malfunctioning."

Not seems, it has already malfunctioned.

Hilia complained to herself, then said, "Well, Principal, I might not be of much help, after all, I’m just a first-grade student who just finished my exams."

"Crap." Rose couldn’t hold it in.

"Crap? What crap?" Hilia quickly asked.

"A kind of plant, don’t worry about it."

"?"

Alright, since Lord Rose said not to worry about it, then let’s not.

Blake was unaware of the exchange between Hilia and Rose, upon hearing Hilia’s words, he chuckled and said, "Your array is recognized by the Holy Master, I believe in you, even if you can’t help, at least co for show, I’ll record it for your assessnts as the Holy Daughter."

Hilia was tempted but she wasn’t really willing to resort to such tactics for points, so she said, "Principal, I know you’re being kind, but unfortunately, the school’s array has been completely dismantled, it’s beyond saving, better to research a new array."

Originally just here to assess the situation and stabilize his authority, Blake paused, surprised, "How do you know the school’s array has been completely dismantled?"

Of course Hilia wouldn’t say it was due to her own actions.

She looked at the flickering rune patterns before the two maintenance instructors, feigning ignorance, "Isn’t it obvious? It’s like this now, beyond saving."

Before Blake could speak, the instructors attempting to salvage the array spoke up discontentedly, "What do you know, student, you can’t even solve a simple array model, how do you know the school’s array can’t be salvaged?"

Hilia thought to herself that the array model wasn’t solved because she didn’t want to beco Alvis’ student, not because it couldn’t be solved.

"Look at the aged runes before you, it’s apparent that this is the magic power running chaotically on the array patterns, this is a situation that only occurs when an array is destroyed, it’s not the signal of it being beyond saving, the real signal is the reaction from the Rest Starlight of the Starlight Seven Tower Array..."

Following Hilia’s explanation of why the array is beyond saving, the two maintenance instructors looked at each other.

They didn’t speak, Blake directly said, "Are you two good for nothing? It’s beyond saving and you’re still busying yourselves, what are you doing."

"Principal, we’re trying to restart the array," the maintenance instructors said, feeling wronged.

"The array’s broken, what are you restarting?" Blake glared at them, "A person’s been dismbered, you’re still there performing CPR?"

The other maintenance instructor argued, "Principal, you shouldn’t believe a first-grade student over us. We believe the array can still be salvaged."

Blake asked back, "Then have you successfully restarted it?"

The two remained silent.

"Is the array reacting?"

Still silent.

"Then tell , who should I believe?"

The two were at a loss.

Just then, Alvis walked in from outside.

"Blake, there’s no point in berating them. Instead, we should consider how to retrieve the remnants of the array."

Blake turned around and looked at Alvis, "Alvis, can the array be restarted?"

"Restart?" As if hearing a joke, Alvis laughed heartily, "What dream are you talking about, Principal? The array runes are all destroyed, and you’re still talking about restarting, still dreaming? Then wake up quickly and properly consider how to reconstruct the array."

Blake nodded and turned to look at the two maintenance instructors, "Should I believe you two or Mr. Alvis?"

The two’s faces turned red.

"Stop, stop, we were wrong, sorry, Principal Blake."

Blake pointed at Hilia, "Apologizing to is useless, apologize to Hilia."

The two looked at each other, but under Blake’s stern gaze, they had to reluctantly apologize to Hilia, "Sorry, Hilia, we shouldn’t have underestimated you."

Instructors apologizing to a student, their faces turned as red as a monkey’s backside.

If Alvis hadn’t shown up, they could still assert themselves, thinking the principal didn’t understand runes.

But Alvis, as the Holy Court’s Array Master, was far superior to them who could only do maintenance.

Alvis said the array’s beyond saving, if they continue to be defiant, they might as well leave the Divine Magic Academy.

Alvis found the apologies inexplicable, while Hilia, the subject, was a bit dazed and quickly spoke for the two instructors.

Principal, your character, we can barely handle it.

After the instructors finished apologizing, Blake said, "Alvis, it looks like we’ll have to rely on you to reconstruct the school’s protective array."

Alvis said flatly, "I’m not free."

"Rest assured, money is no issue, the Holy Master won’t sit idly by."

"Heh." Alvis chuckled coldly, said nothing, and left without looking back.

"Since you don’t care about the cause of the array’s damage, I’ll be on my way."

"Hey, hey, don’t leave, I want to know."

Blake hurriedly chased after.

Seeing this, Hilia quickly followed Blake out as well, to avoid possibly being trapped here by the two maintenance instructors.

Leaving the Modest Tower, Hilia looked up at the sky.

The sudden damage to the array didn’t seem to stir much commotion.

Except for that sudden tremor, nothing else happened afterward.

"Array damage does have quite a few side effects," Rose said calmly, "For example, the accumulation of array remnants, if not cleared, will prevent new arrays from being effective.

"Array remnants generally hold aged magic power, very impure, staying too close for too long will affect a mage’s magic power; during cleanup, students probably shouldn’t be at school."

Hilia said, "Today is the last day of exams, by next week, which is the day after tomorrow, we’re off to the ancient ruins, the cleanup of array remnants won’t affect anyone... Lord Rose, did you plan it out?"

"Of course, unnecessary casualties are not my style."

When playing gas, Rose only kills NPCs that regenerate, never touching those that don’t; if accidentally causing the opponent to attack him, he only tosses them into a deep pit to keep them quiet.

"Deliberate damage to a century-old array because of dissatisfaction, causing students to be affected by the array remnants is sothing only an Evil God would do."

Hilia posed a soul-searching question, "Aren’t you the Evil God?"

Rose paused in silence for a mont, then spoke to himself, "I think your current strength is too weak. After entering the ancient ruins, I’ll give you a new challenge — clear the ancient ruins without using any magic puppet in combat."

The girl was shocked and dismayed, "No way, I don’t want that!"
