Hilia controlled the magic puppet to pick up the pearl-like orb and bring it over.

Upon closer inspection, it wasn’t a pearl, but an eyeball, a gem-like eyeball.

Rose said, "This is the Sea Siren’s Eye, capable of remarkable long-distance vision and seeing through enemy moves. It’s especially effective against Water Elent demons. It can be used alone or embedded into a magic staff to enhance magic power and strengthen Water and Ice Magic. Just don’t embed it into a lee weapon, or the Sea Siren’s Eye will be tainted."

Hilia raised the Sea Siren’s Eye: "Embedding an eyeball into a magic staff just seems so strange..."

"Silly, can’t you cover the eyeball with arcane materials to make it look like a magic crystal?"

Hilia: "..."

What a trick of self-deception.

The others gathered around to closely observe the Sea Siren’s Eye.

Benovia thought for a long ti, then uncertainly said, "This might be the legendary Sea Siren’s Eye. It’s said to be born from a sea siren deep in the ocean. Her eye could see through the weaknesses of all spells and see ants a thousand miles away. It seems it could be used as material for a magic staff to amplify Water Elent magic tenfold."

Hilia: "?"

She looked at Benovia, "Which ancient text did you read about this from?"

"Let think..." Benovia pondered, then said, "An ancient text preserved for over a thousand years, it seems to be called ’The rmaid’."

Rose rolled her eyes: "That’s a fairy tale, and a distorted one at that."

The "The rmaid" in this world differs from the original fairy tale. According to the background story, minstrels reimagined it based on fishern’s words, portraying sea sirens as daughters of the ocean and formidable beings akin to gods.

After all, it’s a fairy tale, the more exaggerated, the better.

After understanding, Hilia said, "If the Sea Siren’s Eye had such powerful abilities, why could we kill her so easily?"

Benovia, embarrassed, said, "The authenticity of ancient texts can’t be verified; sea sirens were active demons thousands of years ago but have vanished now, unknown to people. It’s hard for to identify the use of her eye; it needs to be appraised at school."

Hilia smiled and reiterated Rose’s words to make them understand the function of the Sea Siren’s Eye.

The Sea Siren’s Eye stayed with Hilia for now, to be appraised later with their ntor, confird for its value, then distributed.

Such a precious item, they weren’t going to submit it.

"The leader’s been dealt with; should we head back now? But it’s still not morning, and unknown dangers lurk outside. Perhaps we should stay here until the sun rises, then head back?" Hilia asked for everyone’s opinion.

The three shook their heads, indicating no objection.

After defeating Terksey, it was late into the night, nearing sunrise.

After such a tough battle, particularly the ntal assaults from Terksey’s screams, they weren’t in great condition. With limited visibility, they couldn’t withstand an overwhelming assault by demons.

"However, this cave isn’t safe either. If demons, controlled by the lighthouse’s master, gather at the entrance, we’d be trapped like sitting ducks?" Encore said.

Hilia nodded: "That possibility can’t be ruled out. I’ll head to the entrance and set up an array to block demon detection."

With that, she walked toward the entrance.

Under Rose’s guidance, Hilia utilized scattered magic crystals and various materials outside, engraving runes on them, placing them around the entrance.

"This array is specifically a concealnt array for the entire relic. The materials are from demons and will be regarded as allies to them, including the lighthouse master, preventing demons from blocking the entrance."

"Aren’t we setting it up right under the lighthouse master’s nose? Won’t it be detected?"

"It won’t. Its eye is rely the beacon light. As long as the beacon doesn’t shine on us, we won’t be detected."

Rose spoke with absolute certainty.

On the previous entry into the lighthouse, he hadn’t left empty-handed.

Though he still didn’t know which ’old friend’ controlled the lighthouse, he had gathered considerable intelligence about the situation.

This included its hidden observation thod atop the tower, relying solely on the lighthouse’s beacon, which had beco its eye.

But just detecting wouldn’t matter. To affect soone, the beacon must be directly faced to release spells through the eye to influence others.

Frankly, it was quite futile.

It seems a compromise had to be made to restrain high-tier mages.

If not for this, the Lost Lighthouse wouldn’t have beco an ancient relic frequented by rcenaries yet unbeaten.

After setting up the concealnt array, Hilia returned to the cave to find Benovia and the others examining the demon eggs on the peak, discussing whether to shoot them down.

Hilia couldn’t help but ask: "Aren’t you all going to rest?"

Benovia replied: "In a place like this, how can we rest easily? Daybreak isn’t far off, let’s wait a bit more and rest afterward."

Encore nodded, saying, "Exactly. Although entering was unexpected, we conveniently completed the trial task assigned by school. We can decide our next moves afterward; no rush now."

After investigating the cave and Phil’s purification, they determined that the sea siren nad Terksey was the center of the pollution spread, creating demons for the lighthouse.

Each night, these demons were unleashed to spread pollution outside the lighthouse, gradually expanding its domain into the outer world.

Hilia pouted: "Are you satisfied just with this?"

Benovia and Encore exchanged glances and imdiately grasped Hilia’s intention.

"Hilia, are you thinking..."

"Yes! We quickly resolved the source of pollution, and it’s just the second day. We have 58 days left of the two-month trial period. We can’t simply go ho, can we? Let’s see if we can clear the Lost Lighthouse."

"Though I too want to clear the Lost Lighthouse, the outside leader alone almost wiped us out. I don’t think we’re ready to delve deeper yet."

"That’s simple; spend a month preparing and strengthening ourselves. Then we co back and strategize with improved capabilities."

The two exchanged looks and nodded. Benovia said, "That’s enough ti, but we should consult Phil and Doris once they wake up."

At this mont, Phil was still ditating, purifying the pollution within.

"Alright." Hilia sat on an empty spot and entered a state of ditation.

The cave quieted down, awaiting the passage of ti.

anwhile, at the school camp.

The many ntors leading the teams were nearly frantic.

"Have they still not been found?"
