Now reading: Chapter 252 - 250: Weapons Once Used by Rose from The Evil God Summoned by the Saintess, a Fantasy novel by Not Jiaying.

Rose rarely gets angry.

Just now, hearing Jonathan say that his subordinates were killed and wounded in droves, his feelings were mostly complicated.

Still, he knew that at that ti, he didn’t really have any options.

Of all tis, he had to cross over right when they were about to throw down, and they didn’t even give him a keyboard and mouse—so he couldn’t fight back.

It’s a good thing before going to challenge the Twelve Main Gods one-on-one, he’d made arrangents to stop the Gods from sneaking in the back; if it were him now going back, he’d have steamrolled the Gods’ Army...

Now, hearing Jonathan say that old bastard Zeus actually reopened the Abyss Gate they had painstakingly sealed, letting the demons loose to plague the world, his anger shot through the roof.

He slamd the table. "That old bastard Zeus—I swear I’ll hunt him down and roast him on a cross for a thousand years!"

Hilia was startled beside him.

She had never seen Rose this furious.

Rose was always so gentle and refined, sotis sly, but never angry—not once.

Hilia listened in silence, to the words of the relic’s owner. Maybe it was slander, maybe the real truth of history.

For so reason, she instinctively leaned toward the latter.

She felt as if sothing inside her had shattered.

A question slowly surfaced in her mind.

Divine King... why would he do such a thing?

No...no, that’s not...right?

Hilia was lost.

anwhile, Rose asked in a cold voice, "And then?"

Jonathan replied, "After that, the Abyss stirred up the remaining demonic qi in the Star Spirit Tree. The demonic qi polluted and swept across the entire Star Fall Continent. By then, our troops were all but wiped out, hunted by the Gods and demons, forced into hiding. The Gods founded a new sect, started purifying the demonic qi, drove out the abyssal demons, and then...

"We scattered across the world, each doing our own thing. I chose this place, carved out a subspace, turned it into an ancient relic site and hid away, all the way until now. The only visitor was the Elf God, who entrusted with her relic for safekeeping."

Having finished, Jonathan looked at Rose expectantly and nervously.

But he got no reaction from Rose.

Because as Hilia’s emotions surged and she could no longer hold on, to prevent Hilia’s death, Rose was forced to dissolve his manifestation.

He clearly felt Hilia’s emotions were violently fluctuating.

He understood as well—even other Gods weren’t so bad, but for the Divine King to do this... it was sothing the kindhearted Little Saintess simply couldn’t comprehend or accept.

Watching her faith collapse, Rose spoke softly: "Hilia, the era of the Gods is over. No matter how much they beautify it, they can’t hide all the evil they’ve done—especially Zeus, who twice beca Divine King. His cris were far worse."

"Twice... beca Divine King?" Hilia murmured, questioning.

Rose nodded, "Yes. In a ti older than , during Zeus’s reign as Divine King, he started a faith war that lasted a thousand years, until a Demigod stepped up to resist, and, with a Demigod body, seized his throne. Only then did the faith war stop.

"Unfortunately, while that Demigod was a great fighter, he wasn’t fit to rule. When the Star Spirit Tree went abnormal and fell silent, Zeus took the chance to snatch the position back."

"What was the Demigod’s na?"

"War God, Clax."

"War God Clax... That God doesn’t appear. In Holy Court records, there’s only the God of War and Peace."

"Of course, he was Zeus’s mortal enemy. There’s no way Zeus would leave him a seat among the Gods."

"..."

"So you don’t need to be shaken by Zeus’s secrets. That’s just his nature. Like I just said, this isn’t the era of Gods, it’s the era of humans. You’ve already ruled this continent for five hundred years. The old era’s Gods are growing ever more distant from you all."

"I understand..."

"Good. Pull yourself together. Listen well to Jonathan’s thod for lifting the seal."

"Alright."

Hilia perked up her ears, watching Jonathan intently.

Jonathan saw this and slowly began, "There are three key points to breaking the seal. First, be devout toward Lord Rose. Second, after you set up the Summoning Array, you must hold the Main God Divine Format, use it as the Array core, resonate with the Format, and pray to Lord Rose. Third, the Divine Contract’s degree must be high..."

Jonathan carefully told Hilia the thod they had researched for breaking the seal, word by word, and through Hilia, indirectly let Rose know.

Jonathan had already explained the theory. Now, it’s all about how to prepare the Summoning Array.

This part was tricky, requiring tons and tons of things—not to ntion a huge number of Interdiate Magic Crystals.

Jonathan seed to have tried before; the process and rune patterns flowed from his fingers, and he even perford a demonstration on the spot, painting a rune diagram shrunk a hundred tis.

Hilia carefully watched Jonathan’s lines, couldn’t help mumbling, "Such complicated runes... but at least 50% of it is unnecessary."

She spoke quietly, but sharp-eared Jonathan still heard her.

Jonathan was about to get angry, then suddenly rembered Rose was inside her, and acknowledged her.

Jonathan looked at her and asked, "By the way, why is Lord Rose on Miss Hilia?"

Hilia replied, "I accidentally summoned Lord Rose."

"Accidentally?"

What do you an, ’accidentally’?

Hilia nodded very honestly, "Yes, I was just showing the heretics from the Abyssal Religious Group how to summon an Evil God, and then I summoned Lord Rose."

Jonathan frowned, "Lord Rose isn’t an Evil God. He’s the greatest God of Starfall Continent."

Hilia innocently said, "Hilia didn’t know."

Jonathan: "..."

Though he found it a bit absurd, Jonathan was very envious and jealous.

He sighed and said, "If only you were born in the Era of Calamity. Then this world wouldn’t be such a ss."

"What kind of ss did the world beco?" Hilia asked, confused.

"You never saw the brightness a thousand years ago, so you can’t know how dark it is now. Still, compared to the Era of Calamity, it’s a lot better. The long night is over, dawn is breaking, and the day is coming.

"Hilia, Lord Rose told to stay here and wait for him to return. I can’t help you otherwise, but I do have a treasure, a weapon Lord Rose left behind. Maybe it’ll help you."

With that, Jonathan stood up, went into another room, carefully took out a box, placed it on the table, and opened it.

Hilia looked over curiously.

Inside was a sword—a strangely shaped sword.

Jonathan picked up the sword, speaking softly, "This is the sword Lord Rose once used. He nad it the Ten Thousand Lights Sword. He bestowed it on , but I can’t wield a sword, so I’ve kept it safe. Now, I give it to you. Please take good care of it."
