After confirming the improvent plan, Hilia began her grand procurent journey.

As a border city, Southern Border City trades with all kinds of races and empires. Basically, all the materials and potions Rose requested could be found here.

After finishing the first round of shopping, Hilia sighed, "Southern Border City is really bustling. You can buy anything here."

Rose just smiled without saying a word.

If I can’t buy it here, I wouldn’t have written it on the list. I’d just tell you to find it yourself.

However, the materials needed for a Tier Two Mage aren’t of high quality; most cities have them.

It just so happens that near Southern Border City, there’s an ancient ruin that’s been fully explored, said to yield all sorts of low-tier materials, directly making Southern Border City the trade hub for elves, beastn, and the Ista Empire.

After buying the materials, Hilia didn’t stay in Southern Border City to cultivate, but chose to return to Star Ash Town.

During the ti Hilia was living in Southern Border City to earn money and explore ruins, the Divine Hall in Star Ash Town was already under intensive construction.

The new Divine Hall followed the sa style as those in other towns, but it was much larger than those in other small towns.

After learning that Vanessa advanced to Tier Four and inviting her to be bishop in Southern Border City failed, the Holy Court had to send soone over to carefully plan the new Divine Hall. In addition to expanding on the original site, they annexed a lot of the land behind the hall for its construction.

Luckily, much of the land outside the Divine Hall was used by Vanessa to grow potatoes and wheat. At first, she didn’t agree to use it for the Divine Hall’s construction, figuring the hall could be just as big as before.

Later, people from the Sacrificial Institute, along with the Lord City Lord and the bishop, managed to convince her by saying they needed to lay an array to protect the entire town.

The attacks by Tier Four heretics on Star Ash Town and Southern Border City had sounded the alarm for both Southern Border City and the Holy Court.

The Holy Court believed that the Star Spirit Forbidden Land couldn’t possibly have just one Deep Sea Mutual Aid Association base. There must be others, or even other sects, building their own bases inside the Forbidden Land.

In this period, based on information from those two heretics taken alive, the City Lord and bishop led a team to successfully wipe out one Deep Sea Mutual Aid Association base.

Their sense of crisis didn’t fade after destroying the base—if anything, they beca even more cautious.

So, while the Protective Array for Southern Border City was being built, they also ca to Star Ash Town to assist Vanessa in constructing an array to protect the town.

When Hilia returned to Star Ash Town, she discovered not only was the Divine Hall under construction but so was the area next to it.

The style of construction looked very familiar to her.

After a while, she suddenly rembered what it was—

"Is that a Directional Teleporter coordinate point?" Hilia exclaid in surprise. "Why build a Directional Teleporter in a rundown little town like Star Ash Town?"

Vanessa said helplessly, "It was requested by the bishop of the Southern Divine Hall and the Lord City Lord, funded jointly by the Holy Court and Southern Border City."

She glanced at the Directional Teleporter’s construction site and said, "They also want to use this place as a relay station, as a supply base for future explorations of the Star Spirit Forbidden Land."

Hilia was confused. "Isn’t the Star Spirit Forbidden Land a protected zone?"

Back when Hilia entered the Forbidden Land, apart from that eagle’s feather, she didn’t bring out the corpses of any magical beasts she killed.

Even for that eagle, it was only the plucked feathers she brought back.

Because she snuck into the Forbidden Land.

"As I recall, even though people are generally allowed to enter the Star Spirit Forbidden Land, building temporary camps or similar strongholds—like ruins—is forbidden, right?"

Vanessa nodded. "That’s right. All races and empires bordering the Star Spirit Forbidden Land jointly signed that treaty, so they didn’t set up camps near the periter. They’re using the excuse of developing Star Ash Town, and making this place the main base against heretic hideouts in the Forbidden Land."

Hilia suddenly realized and pondered, "I think the bishop and City Lord might be trying to get on Vanessa Mom’s good side?"

Vanessa smiled slightly. "Who knows."

She saw Hilia and the magic puppet coming back loaded with bags and asked curiously, "What did you buy? So much stuff?"

Hilia took out an Advanced Magic Crystal and handed it to Vanessa: "I brought this back from the ruins. Here—this is for you, Vanessa Mom!"

Vanessa didn’t take it. She shook her head with a smile and said, "You keep it for yourself. I don’t need anything expensive. Even just a flower from you would make happy."

Hilia grinned. "Besides that, I also made you a bouquet."

As she spoke, she fished a bouquet out of her bag. "This Magic Crystal Flower is for the most amazing Vanessa Mom!"

Vanessa took it, eyes wide. "Interdiate Magic Crystals... so many Interdiate Magic Crystals. Hilia, what did you buy so many for? Wasteful."

Hilia shook her head. "I didn’t buy them; I brought them out of the ruins. You know that newly discovered castle labyrinth, right? It’s filled with Interdiate Magic Crystals everywhere."

Vanessa was about to say sothing, but Hilia directly picked up the special bag for magic crystals and shook it out.

Clatter!

Mixed in with a pile of Interdiate Magic Crystals were quite a few Advanced Magic Crystals, forming a small hill.

Vanessa was dumbfounded.

An Interdiate Magic Crystal is worth a gold coin or two, and an Advanced Magic Crystal is nearly a hundred. With this much—plus that flower—the total value was at least five hundred gold coins.

Vanessa was silent for a mont. "Did you clean out the whole ruin?"

As a newly discovered ancient ruin within the territory of Southern Border City, Vanessa of course heard of it. The bishop had even invited her to check on the Healing Ban Curse.

She’d also heard from the bishop and others that the ruin was rich in magic crystals, and the lowest was Interdiate Magic Crystals. If it was fully explored, the price of Interdiate Magic Crystals could co down.

However, among all the exploring rcenaries and rcenary Corps, very few ever got lucky and collected crystals. Most just suffered for a day and got only scraps.

None of them were like Hilia now, hauling out a sackful.

Hilia giggled. "Not really; I couldn’t carry that many magic crystals. The rest are still inside."

Vanessa: "..."

"Anyway, we’re not short on magic crystals. Making a flower is no big deal."

Vanessa couldn’t help but laugh and accepted the Advanced Magic Crystal and Interdiate Magic Crystal bouquet.

"I don’t need Interdiate Magic Crystals right now. Keep them for yourself. If you ever need more later, co see ."

Hilia said, "Vanessa Mom, you can use Interdiate Magic Crystals to grow wheat and potatoes! They’re the purest magic power stones—good for enriching soil, for sure."

Vanessa replied, exasperated, "Who uses Interdiate Magic Crystals as fertilizer? The value of a Magic Crystal is higher than five years’ worth of crops."

"Well, it’s all yours anyway, Mom. Do whatever you want with it."

With that, Hilia slipped into the temporary little house Vanessa had prepared for her and started her power-boosting plan.
