Daniel sat in the back seat of the car, his eyes closed as he tried his best to keep his emotions in check while his entire team was trying to find Elara.

Every minute he was away from her and didn’t know where those kidnappers had taken her was sending another wave of torture to him.

The thought of his woman in pain, who already had suffered so much in life, made him want to kill every person who dared to lay a hand on her.

They didn’t even know who committed the heinous cri, let alone the reason behind it.

It had been twenty minutes since he found out about the kidnapping, and though he asked his best team to follow the trail and scour the entire city if they wanted, he wanted them to find Elara before anything happened to her.

I’ll always protect you with my life. His promise that he made to her resounded in his ears as he thought about her smile.

"Sir, we are there," Alen said, and Daniel’s eyes opened.

Since he couldn’t find the person behind the kidnapping, he decided to go and question the pri people who had been troubling Elara the most these days.

Without waiting for Alen to open his door, the man stepped out and looked at Lloyd’s company.

Alen quickly walked inside and asked the receptionist to tell Andrew that Daniel Macros was there.

The receptionist furrowed her brow and was about to tell him that their boss has a pretty tight schedule and wouldn’t et without an appointnt when Jason, who had co downstairs, spotted them.

"Assistant Alen? What brings you here?" He asked, surprise evident on his face.

Alen looked at Jason and straightened his posture.

"We are here to et your boss. Please tell him to co out of things will go ugly," Alen said.

Jason’s brows narrowed at the blatant threat.

"Are you threatening us right now?" Jason asked.

Alen was about to open his mouth to retort when soone beat him to it.

Daniel grabbed Jason’s collar and pulled the pan closer, his eyes seething with pent-up anger.

"Soone has kidnapped Elara. And that bitch Beatrice and your boss are among the people who hate her enough to commit sothing like this. So bring them out this instant, or I’ll turn this company into a graveyard. This is a threat," Daniel said.

The more Jason heard, the more his eyes widened.

Miss Elara was kidnapped?

He swallowed hard and rembered that Beatrice had indeed followed their boss to the company after the signing ceremony.

"I’ll call him right away." Jason rushed away, not because he was afraid but because he was worried about Miss Elara for real.

He punched the buttons on the elevator quickly to reach the conference room on the third floor.

He opened the door of the conference room urgently, all eyes turning to him imdiately.

Andrew, who had his eyes closed as he concentrated on the facts and figures, with Beatrice sitting beside him and busy on her phone, opened his eyes, his brows furrowing at the disturbance.

"Jason, don’t you know—?" He started to reprimand the secretary, but before he could, the man interrupted him.

"Sir, this is more important. Mr. Daniel Macros is here and is demanding your presence, or he will ensure things turn ugly," Jason said, his gaze flickering to all the board mbers who looked at each other and started whispering.

Beatrice looked at Jason with arched brows, not understanding the hype.

Andrew’s gaze hardened.

"If he is here, then ask him to wait," he ordered, but Jason walked to him and leaned to whisper in his ear.

"Sir, Miss Elara has been kidnapped, and he thinks Miss Beatrice is behind it," Jason said.

As soon as Andrew heard his words, the pen fell from his hand, and he stood.

"What?" He asked before he told everyone that the eting was adjourned and rushed downstairs to the lobby, where Daniel was waiting.

Seeing him leaving in a rush, Beatrice followed him.

"Mr. Macros—" Andrew started, but before he could even speak another word, Daniel raised his fist and punched the man hard before grabbing his collar, jerking him forward.

"Where is she?" Daniel asked.

"Andrew!" Beatrice looked on in wide-eyed wonder as the staff gathered to see what was happening.

Andrew wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. The man not only dared to act recklessly in his company but also to punch him in front of his employees.

"Daniel Macros! Don’t cross your limits. I can raise my hand too!" Andrew pushed the man away.

Daniel scoffed.

"And I can break that hand in a snap. But I don’t want to waste my ti on scum like you. Just tell where you have taken my Elara." Daniel was done pretending he didn’t want Elara before the world, and he didn’t care what anyone would think.

"I don’t know what you are talking about. I just heard the news from my assistant. How did this happen?" Andrew asked.

Daniel chuckled darkly, his humor not reaching his eyes when he looked at the man.

"If you don’t know, what about your mistress? She always had a problem with Elara, didn’t she? Wasn’t she the one who sent those criminals to her apartnt in the middle of the night to humiliate her? Ask her," Daniel said.

Beatrice’s gaze darkened when she noticed how the staff started looking at her with contempt.

They didn’t know what was going on, but the way Beatrice was being painted definitely didn’t look good.

"Mr. Daniel, don’t speak ill of when you don’t know anything. When did I—?" Beatrice started to defend herself, but Daniel raised his hand to signal to her to stop.

"Don’t be under any kind of misconception that I don’t raise my hand on won. It won’t take two minutes to unravel all your conspiracies. But I don’t have that kind of ti to waste. Take this as a warning: if I find you or anyone related to you was involved, I’ll kill you," Daniel said before he gave Andrew one hard look and left the company.

Alen followed his boss, dumbfounded.

They were here to get the truth. Why were they leaving?

"Sir, why are we leaving? This woman definitely knows sothing," Alen said.

Daniel shook his head, slamming his fist on the bonnet of the car in frustration.

"They don’t. I could see it in their eyes. This ti it’s not her." Daniel moved his hand through his hair, truly helpless.

This left them with Carla and Sean, whom he could think of.

But where should I really go to find her?

What was the use of being the head of the most influential mafia gang if he couldn’t even find his woman?

As he was about to sit in the car, he received a call from his IT team and quickly picked up.

"Did you find anything?" He asked without wasting ti on greetings.

"Sir, at the ti of kidnapping, 56 phones were active in the radius. Of those 56, 10 were there for a few seconds, which ant they were leaving cars. Forty-six were present. We selected the numbers that were present at the precise ti, matching Miss Elara’s. There were a few—" The man started speaking.

"Give the goddamn results! Where is she?" Daniel asked impatiently.

"Sir, our best guess is the abandoned building that is 40 minutes from your distance. I am sending the location to you," the man hurried.

Daniel ended the call and checked the location before sending it to everyone so the one closest to it could receive it as soon as possible.
