A few minutes passed, then an hour, but Daniel and Elara didn’t budge from their places.
Antonio and Alen both thought that their bosses were really adamant and courageous for pulling sothing like that for their love.
Honestly, they could go and get married without telling anyone, and no one would be able to do anything about it, but they wanted to do it with her parents’ permission this ti.
Elara’s first marriage was unsuccessful, and her parents couldn’t even attend it because of Elara’s condition. Thus, they really wanted her second marriage, which would be her first marriage, to be grand and full of happy blessings and wishes.
"Dad, are you still thinking? Please stop this madness—-," Gabriella started.
"Let’s go inside." Thomas turned and went inside the house.
Elara looked at her grandpa’s back, who didn’t seem like he would stop them anyti soon, and sighed before she leaned on Daniel with her eyes closed.
"Elara? Elara, what happened?" Daniel patted her cheeks, afraid.
Elara opened her eyes slightly before winking at the man.
Daniel understood her signal imdiately.
"Elara, what happened to you? Please open your eyes." Daniel pulled her close, hiding her face in his chest.
Gabriella’s heart thumped loudly against her chest when she saw her daughter’s condition.
"Elara!" She rushed to her daughter in the rain, and everyone panicked before rushing out.
"What the hell are you doing? Bring my granddaughter inside," Thomas shouted as George rushed to his sister to get her inside.
"No!" Daniel shouted.
"I know my Elara. She would never want you guys to take her inside just because she lost consciousness. Only after you guys allow our marriage will we co inside," Daniel said, pulling her even closer, dramatically.
Gabriella froze in her place and looked at her father.
"Dad, what are you thinking about? There has to be so solution for those stars, too. What use will our stubbornness be if our children are not happy? Wasn’t Daniel’s grandfather your best friend? Will he be happy seeing you tornt his grandson like this?" Gabriella asked one after the other.
Thomas looked at his granddaughter, then at his daughter, and, after thinking for a long ti, he finally gave in.
"Fine. Bring her in. Quickly get a doctor. I allow this marriage," Thomas said.
Daniel imdiately smiled and looked at Elara, who still didn’t open her eyes.
He was about to panic when she opened her eyes slightly and shook her head.
The man imdiately understood her signal.
"How can I believe you? What if you go back on your word later? All our hard work would go in vain. I don’t care about myself, but my Elara..." Daniel said.
Thomas clenched his fists as he looked at the stubborn man.
"First, stop calling her ’my Elara.’ She is still my granddaughter. And I am the Army’s General. Do you think I’ll go back on my words?" Thomas asked.
"Great. He has given his word. We will allow the marriage. Let’s take her inside. What if she gets a fever?" Gabriella said.
"No need for that. I can walk myself." Elara opened her eyes before grinning from ear to ear.
"Elara, are you okay?" Gabriella asked in concern.
However, Thas, who understood what happened here, imdiately gritted his teeth.
"You!" he raised his voice while pointing at Elara.
"Oh, co on, Grandpa. You always taught to work cunningly. That so fights are won not through strength but mind," Elara said before she walked to her grandpa and hugged him to annoy the old man even more.
"Let go. You got what you want. Don’t butter up now. You are wetting my clothes," the man said in a loud voice, but everyone knew he was just trying to put on a strong front when in reality he was actually worried about Elara.
"Thank you for caring so much about and always looking out for , Grandpa. I am grateful to you," Elara said, and the man sighed.
"I just want the best for you, Elara," Thomas said.
"Okay. Now everything is sorted. Get changed quickly, you two. I’ll brew so coffee for you." Gabriella rushed the two inside, and Daniel was about to follow Elara to her room when Thomas coughed loudly.
"What are you doing? Do you want to get kicked out imdiately after they allow you to enter?" George said to Daniel before he took him to his room.
Once Elara and Daniel took a hot shower and gathered in the living room, everyone sat around, looking at them to hear their next step.
"I’ll have to go out of the country for a month to handle important business. That was the main reason I wanted to settle this before leaving. I want her to know I am serious about this, about us," Daniel said to everyone, his last sentence addressed to Elara, who smiled.
"It’s good. You guys can use this to understand if you really love each other or if it’s just infatuation," Logan said, and Gabriella rolled her eyes.
The kids literally knelt in the rain to marry each other, and he was seriously thinking they were not serious?
After dinner, Daniel approached Elara, who was watching the rain through the large windows in the living room.
"What’s on your mind?" He asked.
Elara sighed and turned to him before explaining to him what had happened at the set.
"I am here to listen to you and support you. But you must know I can always interfere if those people bother you too much. Do you want to deal with it?" Daniel asked after he listened to everything.
Elara shook her head at his words before leaning her head on his chest.
"No. I want to be able to deal with such stuff myself," she whispered, thinking about what she would need to face at the set the next day because of what happened.
Things were finally starting to get better because of her Lara Jewels comrcial, but this incident would affect her again.
Well, then again, such scandals were a significant part of show business, weren’t they?
This made her realize how urgent it was to deal with Beatrice even more.
"Will you miss a lot?" Daniel asked after so ti, and Elara clicked her tongue playfully.
"Not at all," she grinned.
Daniel narrowed his eyes at her.
"I want you to think very carefully about what you said, Miss Elara. Don’t forget I have hundreds of ways to tornt you," Daniel said, deliberately raking his eyes up and down her body, making Elara blush imdiately.
"When do you leave?" Elara asked.
Daniel’s smile faltered imdiately, and he sighed.
"Tonight," he said before he kissed her temple.
"It’s going to be a tough month," he whispered.
If it had been in his hands, he wouldn’t have left her even for a second, but this was sothing unavoidable, especially with his stepbrother ddling with his business repetitively.
He needed to handle this once and for all, along with signing a few deals with foreign clients.
He wanted to free himself so he wouldn’t have to leave his wife for a long ti after they got married. He smiled at the thought.
