"There are many rumors about you going, Miss Elara, because of the ongoing controversy. But everyone has one pri question: why now?" The reporter asked.
Elara sat on a big blue sofa before the reporter from National News TV, who had been trying to invite her to an exclusive interview to learn her perspective on what was spreading online.
Many wanted to know the story from her point of view and how much truth was in the rumors.
Beatrice was out of contact with everyone, and people were trying to find her, but the girl turned her phone off and couldn’t be spotted anywhere.
Elara took a deep breath.
"Because I wanted people to know my side of the story too," Elara said.
The reporter raised his brows.
"Is that a claim that it was indeed you who spread these rumors online?" The reporter asked.
Elara knew what the reporter was trying to do. After all, it was their job to know the roots of an issue, and she smiled politely.
"I am saying, the reason I accepted this interview is that I don’t want people to assu. It’s better for them to know the truth. And I know it’s going to drag through the mud, but the truth must prevail." Elara twisted her words slightly, and the reporter nodded.
He then proceeded to ask her how everything began and the truth behind her marriage to Andrew.
Elara didn’t hide anything. She began by saying she was the real heiress to the Frost family, the voice behind the infamous singer ET, and the reason she had to go undercover and hold her own funeral.
She then shared that she had fallen in love with Andrew and had hoped their relationship would improve for three long years, until she couldn’t take it anymore.
"I am sure everyone rembers the news from a few months ago where Andrew was seen taking Beatrice to the hospital, and everyone said she was his girlfriend and lucky to have him." Elara looked at the cara before smiling sadly.
"That was the night sothing inside broke, and I knew it would never be repaired. That’s when I filed for the divorce, too. I have found soone who loves for who I am and would never dim my light," Elara said, deliberately giving a hint so no one would bla her later if her marriage were aired.
Her interview was shown on the live broadcast, and all the won whose husbands or boyfriends had betrayed them stood out to her, as she felt their pain when she saw Elara getting emotional on TV for real.
Elara excluded the part where she lost the baby because she didn’t want her baby to beco a matter of rumor and speculation.
"What do you have to say about Miss Beatrice? Despite your personal feud, you guys worked in the sa drama that has been number one on the charts from day one of its release," the reporter asked.
Elara looked the reporter dead in the eye for a few seconds before she smiled.
"How would you describe a person who destroyed your dream of a happy family? I am not a saint, nor a goddess. I am human, and I am sure everyone watching my interview knows exactly what I have to say. If there are no more questions, I would like to leave." Elara stood from the couch.
The channel manager imdiately signalled to the reporter to keep her engaged, since the show’s TRP was skyrocketing, and the reporter nodded quickly.
"What is your next move, Miss Elara? With Beatrice removed from the competition, you are the only eligible candidate who will get the best actress award for the drama. Was that your motive? Do you think Miss Beatrice still stands a chance?" The reporter asked.
Elara paused in her steps, then turned ever so slowly.
She smiled at the reporter, the kind of smile that made the reporter second-guess his presence on the set as she tilted her head.
"You don’t know anything, Mr. Troy," Elara said before she looked around.
"Beatrice, if you are also one of the watchers, I’ll co and et you exactly where you belong," Elara made the bold statent before she left, leaving everyone speechless with her words.
The reporter turned to the manager, who had been signaling him to keep the lady engaged in utter shock, unsure what to say.
"Well, that was an insightful interview." With that statent, the live ended.
As soon as it did, the clips of Sean’s death, the man being strangled by a female, started circulating everywhere.
On the side of the video, the presence of a particular number and the chat history with that number began appearing.
The chats clearly indicate how Sean had slept with the woman and was threatening her that he would tell Andrew everything.
The video had been muted in the beginning. But as soon as the video with the chat ended, the previous video played again, and this ti the sound could be heard vaguely.
It wasn’t hard for people to imdiately recognise Beatrice’s.
Elara sat inside the car and looked at the video on the tablet, her fingers almost digging into the leather of the seat.
They had literally checked the cars of the entire village to see if there was any car with a dashcam that could’ve captured anything.
There was indeed one, but it was so blurry that it couldn’t be used. However, Justin had taken help from a foreign client, and together they re-created the entire scene using AI, keeping it blurry so it would look real.
The chat’s history was another piece of evidence, along with Beatrice’s voice in the video.
At the sa ti, Timothy, who had entered the company, beaten black and blue and rescued from a construction site, looked at Andrew and imdiately fell to his knees.
"Thank you for saving , young master. I really thought I would die. Everything was planned, sir. You have no idea of their ga. Sir, your father wanted to stop the wedding after he found out the truth," Timothy started, and Andrew looked at him with furrowed brows.
"Have so water first, Timothy. Tell everything slowly. You are not making any sense to right now," Andrew said.
Jason handed Timothy the glass of water, and the man gulped it down like soone who had been deprived of it for days.
He took deep breaths to calm his raging heart before he blinked furiously and looked at Andrew.
"Thas Maiden. He is the one who attacked your father, sir. I called as soon as I found Sir Heather lying on the ground. It wasn’t until later that I saw Thas’ man there, but before I could make another call, they kidnapped ," Timothy said before he wiped his mouth.
"Your father went to the hospital to et a client whose son had been admitted when he saw Beatrice eting soone. He wanted to look deeper into it since she was about to marry you. Turns out, Beatrice is Whitney’s daughter," Timothy said.
Andrew’s brows furrowed.
He read this na in the news, too. People found out her mother was hospitalized and was ntally ill, and it was also used against Beatrice. It was immoral of everyone to do so, but honestly, after what she did, he couldn’t feel any sympathy towards her.
"What about that?" Andrew asked, unsure why it was important.
"Sir, your father had a one-night stand with Miss Whitney. She got pregnant and asked him to take responsibility, which he denied. She later disappeared, and we all thought the problem was solved. Beatrice is that kid," Timothy said.
Jason’s eyes widened, and he looked at Andrew in utter shock. This was a disaster.
If that was true, it ant Andrew slept with his own half-sister.
Blood drained from Andrew’s face.
"What the hell are you—?" Andrew started to speak, but soone cut him off mid-sentence.
Sophia, who had been trying to reach Andrew because of what was going on and their family’s na being dragged through the mud, stood there at the entrance of the office with Williams and Carla.
"What? What did you say?" Sophia asked, her legs feeling like jelly, and the ground slipped from under her feet, making her fall to the side in shock.
Carla stood there, unsure what to think of it, while Williams?
He suddenly felt a deep, shooting ache in his heart and clutched his chest.
"Grandfather!" Andrew shouted in horror and rushed forward to support his grandpa.
"Jason! Get the car ready! Call the ambulance!" Andrew shouted on top of his lungs, his world crashing on him.
