Now reading: Chapter 68: Trevor’s pain from The Ex-Wife's Revenge: Rise of the Real Heiress., a Romance novel by AngelinaBhardawaj.

Trevor sat before George as they discussed the collaboration’s pros and cons, while Elara busied herself with snacks and the entertainnt news, least bothered by his presence.

Once the deal was signed, Trevor stood and shook hands with George before turning to look at Elara.

George noticed the man stealing glances at his sister and couldn’t help but arch his brows.

"Do you two know each other?" He asked.

Elara looked up from her phone, nodding subtly.

"He is Andrew’s loyal friend," she said nonchalantly.

The infamous smirk appeared on Trevor’s face.

"So you indeed rember who I am?" He asked.

Elara nodded, leaning forward and supporting her head on her fist.

"Why wouldn’t I?" she asked.

Trevor shrugged.

"Well. As a matter of fact, I thought you would at least pretend to. After all, I caught you with your brother. So you, Elara Frost, are none other than the daughter of the Frost family," Trevor said.

Elara’s gaze didn’t flicker.

While they were having the collaboration eting, she asked Justin to get whatever dirt he could on this man.

Justin was the only efficient team mber around her who could make it possible. And though Elara didn’t find anything worth using against him, she saw sothing she could use to be with him, extend the hand of friendship.

"And for so reason, you are not afraid I’ll reveal your identity to Andrew? I an, judging from how everyone is oblivious to your bloodline, you intended to hide it," Trevor asked.

Elara chuckled at his choice of words.

She knew Trevor was a sociopathic kind of person. He cared least about her identity being revealed or what Andrew would think. He was more interested in the drama that would follow.

And it gave her enough confidence to propose what she was about to.

"I know you won’t tell him anything. Not when I tell you I can help you avenge what Sean did," Elara said.

Trevor’s expression twisted in a second.

"What do you an?" He asked.

Elara pointed at the chair before her, and the man followed her signal, sitting before her.

George asked if she needed him to stay to ensure everything went alright, but when Elara assured him she got this, he left for his eting, leaving Antonio and Maxton by the door for her safety.

"I know what happened six months ago," Elara said, her words a final blow to Trevor’s pride, and he clenched his fists.

Elara vaguely rembered that night. Andrew had a habit of coming ho late. That night was the sa. However, just after he had his shower and was at the dining table eating, he received a call.

Generally, from the experience, Elara knew the call was from Beatrice, probably needing his attention or ’help’ in sothing.

But to her surprise, the call was from Sean.

Andrew had gone to the patio to talk, but she still heard the gist of it.

Apparently, Sean took advantage of Trevor’s sister’s intoxicated state and had sex with her.

When Trevor reached the place, because he was worried about his sister, when he received a call from her friend that she was intoxicated, he found Sean banging his sister.

A major fight had broken out between the two guys. In his defense, Sean told him that he was under the influence of liquor too and mistook her for an escort when she had co to greet him in the club. He called it a mistake, a mistake Trevor never really forgave him for.

Though Trevor’s sister never blad Sean outwardly for it because she didn’t want their friendship to break, she grew quite timid and submissive after that.

She even took therapy for the incident. It was her first ti, and Sean didn’t go easy on the girl. That was also one reason Trevor never sided with Sean and always called him a manwhore.

It was Andrew who had beco the middleman between the two and had sorted their fight, which was on the brink of ending.

Trevor might not have ntioned that incident again because of Andrew; deep down, he still blad Sean for his sister’s change in attitude towards people.

She used to be jolly and happy, but after that night, she just went silent; she matured too much. All the things she used to like, she started hating, calling them childish.

"What do you know?!" Trevor stood, his eyes glaring at Elara, daring her to repeat his sister’s trauma.

Elara took a deep breath.

"Sit down. I am not a threat to you, nor do I intend to leak this information when she is about to get married. If I wanted to, I would’ve done it a long ti ago," Elara said.

Seeing the genuine empathy in her eyes, the man cald down a little before sitting.

"What can you even do? I an... You are the Frost daughter, but what change does it make? Sean is not soone you can trifle with. Your family’s influence runs in the North, not here," Trevor scoffed.

Though his tone held a hint of mockery, Elara could see that her idea interested him.

"I am not asking much from you. Just keep silent about the fact that I am Frost’s daughter until the divorce is completed. I don’t care who finds out after that, regarding what I’ll do. You’ll know about it when Sean cos groveling at your feet, asking for help," Elara said.

Trevor looked at the girl for so ti before nodding and shaking her hand to tell her he was in the deal.

He stood from his seat, ready to leave since he had another eting scheduled, and was about to open the door when he stopped.

"I am sorry. I might’ve never partaken in the bullying, but I knew what was going on all along and never stepped up either," Trevor said.

Elara nodded. "It doesn’t matter anymore. An apology doesn’t change anything," she said.

Trevor nodded in understanding.

"I know. But still, I felt that’s what I owe you. If you are comfortable, go to William’s birthday with . We both know who Andrew will take," Trevor said before nodding and leaving.

Elara’s confidence crumbled as soon as Trevor left.

She handled it well. Luckily, she rembered the tiline of the incident, and Justin figured out the rest by hacking and through their calls and ssages. But she wouldn’t get lucky every ti.

She needs to lie low until everything is sorted.

Elara took a deep breath before looking at the ssage from a number she didn’t expect to see.

"How are you?"

It was her father’s ssage, and her hand froze.

She looked around to ensure he wasn’t here before breathing in relief.

Could it be because of the invitation Lloyd’s sent? Elara gritted her teeth in annoyance.
