Chapter 13: The Tools of a New Era

The hall had emptied, but the weight of what had been set in motion had not.

It lingered.

Not in the air.

But in structure.

In decision.

And in direction.

Lucien did not remain in the main chamber after the eting concluded.

He did not speak further than necessary.

He did not extend the mont beyond its purpose.

Because authority—

Once established—

Did not need repetition.

He returned to his private chamber.

Malen followed.

Gandalf followed.

Lucas Marcus followed, while already thinking of executing the next layer of restructuring without requiring further instruction, because the system Lucien had begun building did not rely on constant oversight—it relied on alignnt.

The door closed.

Silence.

For a mont, Lucien stood still.

Then—

The system responded.

[COMMON SPIN VOUCHER ×10 – READY FOR USE]

His gaze sharpened slightly.

This—

Was the next step.

Not power in the direct sense.

But potential.

"Activate," he said calmly.

The interface expanded instantly, ten distinct slots appearing in front of him, each representing a separate spin, each carrying the possibility of sothing useful—or sothing insignificant.

The spins began.

One after another.

Fast.

Without pause.

The results did not appear imdiately.

Instead—

They converged.

rged.

And reconstructed into sothing larger.

[CONSOLIDATED RESULT: INDUSTRIAL FOUNDATION PACKAGE]

Lucien’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Not weapons.

Not direct strength.

Sothing else.

The information began flowing.

Not visually alone—

But directly into understanding.

Blueprints.

Structures.

Processes.

Enough to be decades ahead of the world.

The first—

Charcoal Production System.

Simple.

But essential.

Efficient burning structures, controlled oxygen flow, optimized yield—fuel not just for warmth, but for industry.

Then—

Iron Slting Furnace.

An improved bloory design, capable of producing higher quality iron, with consistent output rather than irregular batches, sothing that could support not just weapons, but tools.

Then—

Blacksmith Precision Tools.

Molds.

Shaping instrunts.

chanical alignnt components.

Lucien’s gaze sharpened further.

This was not random.

This was—

Foundation.

The next—

Waterwheel System.

chanical power.

Rotational energy.

And automation.

Even if it’s the weakest kind but automation

For a brief mont—

Lucien’s thoughts stopped.

Because this—

Changed scale.

This was no longer individual craftsmanship.

This was production.

The next—

asurent and Calibration Tools.

Precise.

Repeatable.

And the best thing consistent, sothing this world hasn’t known, not till today.

And then—

The shift.

The system displayed sothing different.

[CHEMICAL FORMULA ACQUIRED]

Lucien focused.

The composition unfolded.

Saltpeter.

Charcoal.

Sulfur.

Ratios.

Processes.

Stabilization thods.

Storage techniques.

For making an invention enough to dominate in lower tier battlefields , make the traditional line marching and tactics obsolete

(Gunpowder)

The understanding ca instantly.

Not theoretical.

Practical.

Lucien exhaled slowly.

This—

Was dangerous.

Not because of destruction alone.

But because of accessibility

Anyone could use this.

If they had the ans.

It ant more than just this the world will never accept this, they will retaliate the kings, dukes, the nobles, mages and knights they will never allow birth of sothing that might posses danger even to them not today maybe but progress takes ti if sothing that can totally dominate lower tier battlefields appeared today, what chance is there in future through progress it won’t evolve into sothing capable of threating them.

Then—

The final layer appeared.

[FIREARM BLUEPRINT ACQUIRED]

The structure ford.

Simple.

chanical.

A long barrel.

A flintlock ignition system.

A wooden fra.

Smoothbore Musket.

No complex rifling.

No excessive precision requirents.

Designed—

For production.

Lucien stood still.

Because now—

The pieces aligned.

Industry.

Fuel.

tal.

Power.

Chemistry.

Weapon.

Not separate.

Connected.

"This..." Malen spoke for the first ti, his voice low, uncertain in a way it rarely was. "These are not weapons."

Lucien nodded slightly.

"They’re not."

A pause.

"They’re the ans to create them."

Gandalf stepped forward slightly, his gaze resting on the unseen system interface, sensing the weight of what had just been granted even without seeing it directly.

"This knowledge," he said quietly, "does not belong to this era."

Lucien did not respond imdiately.

Because he agreed.

But that—

Did not change its value.

"These structures..." Lucas’s absence did not prevent Lucien from thinking in his terms.

Efficiency.

Scalability.

Control.

Lucien turned toward the table, placing his hand against its surface as his mind began arranging the information not as separate concepts, but as a sequence.

Step one—

Fuel.

Step two—

tal.

Step three—

Tools.

Step four—

Production.

Step five—

Weaponization.

A complete chain.

Not power given.

Power built.

And that—

Was far more dangerous.

Malen frowned slightly.

"You’re planning to replace knights?"

Lucien looked at him.

"No."

A pause.

"I’m planning to change the battlefield."

Silence followed.

Because that answer—

Carried more weight than a simple denial.

Gandalf spoke again.

"If this spreads uncontrolled..."

Lucien nodded.

"It won’t."

A pause.

"Not yet,not till we have enough capital to be able to defend ourself "

His gaze shifted slightly toward the direction of the city.

Because now—

The earlier decision made sense.

The hidden base.

The loyal knights.

The controlled structure.

This—

Could not be introduced openly.

Not in its early stage.

Not without preparation.

Lucien exhaled slowly.

"This stays contained," he said.

Malen nodded imdiately.

"It will."

Gandalf inclined his head.

"I will assist where needed."

Lucien’s gaze hardened slightly.

"First..."

A pause.

"We build the foundation."

Because without it—

None of the rest mattered.

He looked once more at the unseen system interface.

At the knowledge now embedded within him.

At the future—

That had just been placed in his hands.

And understood sothing clearly.

This was not a weapon.

Not yet.

It was a beginning.

And beginnings—

When handled correctly—

Changed everything.
