Now reading: Chapter 306: The Little Fierce Stallion’s Desperate Flight from The Exiled Lord: My Maid is a Battle Goddess, a Fantasy novel by Cooperluca125.

On a dim and horrifying road, Annie Rui, known as the "Little Fierce Stallion," rode with his heart pounding wildly as he drove his warhorse forward, desperately avoiding the rotten tentacles lurking everywhere. The endless screams echoing through the darkness were pushing him to the brink of insanity.

This caravan of a hundred people was already on the verge of collapse.

The endless stream of corpses and monsters crawling out of the ground had left everyone from Fierce Stallion Territory pale with terror.

"My lord, we need to rest. The craftsn have to repair the wagons. Damn those tentacles, they’ve completely tangled the wheels."

A knight clad in light armor rode up beside Annie Rui, panting heavily. His hoarse voice rasped like a broken bellows.

"The ladies can’t endure riding much longer. None of us have slept in two days."

"No. We only just managed to sneak out successfully. We still haven’t escaped Bull Territory’s sphere of control. If the rebels catch up to us now, then my father’s blood will have been spilled for nothing."

Annie Rui shouted furiously at everyone.

"Move at maximum speed and reach Maple Leaf Territory. We must deliver news of the rebellion to the Imperial Capital."

"But the number of corpses is increasing. We need rest if we’re going to have the strength to fight."

"Yeah, my lord. If we get trapped inside a corpse tide without enough strength to break through, we’re dood."

The surrounding knights felt nothing but hunger gnawing at their stomachs, while the attendants and family mbers were equally exhausted.

"What are corpses supposed to be?!"

Seeing everyone’s dispirited expressions nearly twisted Annie Rui’s nose with anger.

"Can they even compare to one-thousandth of the terror the rebels possess? Even the famous useless Phield can travel freely through Nightfall Domain. Don’t tell you lack even the courage to cross Nightfall Domain. Are you even more incompetent than Phield?"

"Uh..."

The knights opened their mouths, utterly stifled and miserable, unable to respond.

You’re both barons. You can insult each other all you want, but we definitely don’t dare join in.

The knights knew the hatred from the slaughter of his family and wife had already blinded the newly appointed lord. Everyone could only sigh helplessly and continue following him down this hopeless road.

"Fine, keep making those faces. I’ll personally show all of you just how weak these corpses really are. Even an old woman could kill them with ease."

Annie Rui violently dug his heels into his horse’s belly as the cavalry spear in his hand shot out like a venomous serpent. Without even using magic power, his terrifying strength instantly smashed apart the heads of three charging corpses. Rotten skull fragnts and foul flesh exploded outward in every direction.

"Is this difficult? They’re all trash. I can wipe them out casually."

Unsatisfied, Annie Rui directly charged into the surrounding corpse horde, weaving left and right through the battlefield. Within monts, he slaughtered over twenty corpses before returning covered in blood.

"What terrifying spear techniques. My lord is a true knight."

"As expected of the heir to the Fierce Stallion family."

"That level of strength undoubtedly ranks among the top of the younger generation of barons."

"It’s a pity the Fierce Stallion family never produced a Divine Chosen. Otherwise, our family would definitely rise even further."

Though many still held dissatisfaction in their hearts, seeing their lord display such overwhelming dominance left them too intimidated to complain any further. They forced themselves to continue moving the caravan.

Every single mont of this scene was displayed flawlessly through Ophelia’s Sphere of the Abyss.

"My lord, this is what the scouting corpse under my control witnessed."

Ophelia reclined lazily against an exquisite lounge chair, crossing her plump and beautiful legs while her pale feet swayed smugly in the air.

"I couldn’t determine what faction they belonged to, so I didn’t act recklessly."

"Reporting promptly deserves praise, but why did you bring a lounge chair and wine with you while retreating? Wait, where did you even get the wine from?"

Phield stared speechlessly at the little at dragon who sohow carried herself with even more style than he did.

One corpse beside Ophelia waved a fan for her while another carried a tray. Just monts earlier, she had rushed into the iron mine outpost looking disheveled while discussing the intruders with Ashina. Phield had happened to be there as well.

"Hmph. Even during war, black tea, wine, and steak are absolute necessities. That’s how things are for country bumpkin barons. All they know is crude fighting and barking orders. But us nobles from The Blue Dragon and the Magic Tower United Empire have far more to think about. Such as how to steal wine from beneath the cellar of a grand winery, or deciding how well-done a steak should be."

Bang!

Phield imdiately smacked Ophelia on the head.

"Ugh..." Ophelia covered her head while baring her teeth like an enraged cat trying to look fierce. "You filthy bug, how dare you defy ? And you’re actually attacking your own Divine Chosen."

"Move over. This seat is mine."

Phield lifted Ophelia up like an orange cat and tossed her aside.

"You’re getting too full of yourself. Stealing my wine was one thing, but acting this arrogant afterward? Don’t think I’ll go easy on you just because you look like a mature beauty. That doesn’t work on . Every mature beauty eventually turns into a soft little loli in my hands."

"Hmph. I’ll let you have it this once so people won’t say I bully the young."

Despite her words, Ophelia secretly left the tip of her tail resting on the chair, insisting she still occupied the main seat.

Through his black crow, Phield had already tracked Annie Rui’s group and received an aerial view of the entire caravan directly in his mind.

"My lord, what should we do next?" Ashina summoned her giant wolf, ready to charge into battle at any mont.

"They’re not mbers of the Shadow World Sect. I vaguely recognize this baron."

Phield rubbed his chin while searching through the mories left behind by the original owner of the body.

"He seems to be the son of Baron Fierce Stallion. Instead of taking the normal roads, he’s passing through Nightfall Domain. Heh... I understand now."

Tisiana, completely confused, leaned over and asked, "Understand what?"

"If my guess is right, the Shadow World Sect has blocked the roads, leaving them unable to travel normally."

As expected of soone with a commander’s background, Ophelia imdiately grasped the key issue. Her glossy tail swayed behind her as she licked her lips.

"How about we slaughter them for dessert? I’ll personally twist off their heads and deliver them to you."

"No. There are plenty of useful people in that caravan."

Through the black crow, Phield could clearly see their composition. There were six or seven craftsn and blacksmiths alone. Twenty-one won sat in the open wagons, and none of them dressed like village peasants. The remaining n were warriors and militia mbers, including twenty-three cavalryn in total.

That kind of force was enough to wage a small-scale war. At least by the standards of lesser nobles.

"Tch. Every ti I see open wagons, I start craving a sniper rifle so I can blow their heads open."

Phield’s fingers twitched with itchiness.

"Didn’t you say we can’t kill them? You really are full of trouble, little trash."

Ophelia pouted and swung her claws through the air unhappily.

Phield stood from the lounge chair, grabbed his cavalry spear, and mounted his horse.

"We’re moving out. Without my permission, they’ve trespassed into Turnip Village, a military zone within Nightfall Domain, causing severe damage to noble rights. We are going to conduct a ruthless retaliatory raid. All supplies belong to us. The people do too."

Phield casually fabricated an outrageous excuse for war.

The son of Baron Fierce Stallion wasn’t so untouchable imperial noble. Capturing him wouldn’t bring too much trouble, especially since they had technically invaded his territory first.

As the offended party, he had every right to raid them, enslave them, or even—

Never mind. None of the won were particularly attractive anyway.

"Exactly. Eat all the n and send all the won to the slums of Nightfall Domain so they can mass-produce superior soldiers for us. Kekekeke."

Using the elegant voice of a mature beauty, Ophelia said sothing utterly insane.

Tisiana could no longer endure it. She let out a deep sigh and comforted herself.

"This is what corruption does. It ruins people’s brains."

"You’ll get used to it."

Ashina shrugged calmly.

"Little dragon, use your corpse tide to block their path toward Maple Leaf Territory and herd them toward my direction. Rember, avoid killing them as much as possible, and don’t reveal yourself."

"Fine. Even if I can’t kill anyone, fighting is still entertaining enough. While you were away, I wasn’t slacking off. I’ve been continuously strengthening the combat ability of the corpse horde."

Ophelia licked her claws lightly.

"As you command, my beloved cockroach."
